Cole is a kind, and caring young man. He cares deeply for his pack, and will do anything, and everything in his power to see that they are happy, and taken care of. He's easily willing to scarfice himself for his pack, and other innocent people without thinking. He generally tries to do more dangerous things that his pack might be into by himself. He doesn't want to see anymore of his pack, his family to be harmed, or be in harms way. He can be a bit reckless as well, and will go head first into danger without a thought.
He is quite sarcastic as well. He loves himself a good joke, and usually has a smart-ass comment up his sleeves. And he's not afraid to dish a really cheesy one out either. He can be quite nerdy at times as well. He's an avid comic book reader, gamer, and movie watcher. His favorite genre is science fiction. He's also a pretty big sports fan, and loves football, and martial arts. He also is a fan of rugby, in which he is the captain of for his school's team. It's kind of a big deal in Carter Falls. Similar to Lacrosse in Beacon Hills.
Like most werewolves, especially young ones around his age, he does have his struggles to control his temper. He has learned to control this in the past through focusing on the training for martial arts, and his rugby. But since becoming an Alpha he's having more, and more trouble with this, as well as dealing with his new increase in strength, and other abilities. Of course he doesn't allow his pack to see this, and will try to deal with it on his own. He's very doubtful of his ability of being a effective Alpha, and feels undeserving it.
He has a fair amount of survivors guilt over the failed coup, and the death of so many of his pack. He has had his struggles with depression in recent times, but again he won't let his pack see this side of him. They need, and deserve a strong Alpha, and so he'll pretend he's got it all together, and tries to deal with his issues himself.

Cole was born and raised in Carter Falls the youngest of the Cunningham family. His mother died giving birth to him. His family was a very powerful, and they ruled Carter Falls with a iron claw. They were so feared and had such great influence that not even the hunters would touch them. The Alpha before Duncan was their uncle, Tommy. He was a aggressive, fierce, and sadistic Alpha who ruled through fear, and intimidation. He even went so far to kill his own brother, Cole's dad, when he threatened his leadership. Although he covered it up, and made it as if Hunters did it.
His brother Duncan wasn't happy with their uncle's leadership. So he decided to take matters into his own hands. Duncan confronted their uncle about changing how they operate things. Tommy brushed him off. But Duncan wouldn't be ignored, he pushed harder. Tommy wasn't having any of it, and ended up attacking Duncan. He was forced to kill his uncle, and became the new Alpha.
As the new Alpha, Duncan brought a certain respectability to the pack. They exited the stage of public spotlight, and allowed the humans to run their little town. This was not the most popular decision among the pack. While Duncan was a fair and kind leader, and was much beloved, dissidence was sewn by a certain Beta by the name of Martian Paris.
While Cole was a younger member, he gained more responsibility as the years went by due to him being Duncan's brother. This all lead up to him being named second in command of the pack when he was 17. Another somewhat unpopular decision. But despite his young age, Cole proved to be capable. But despite that Martian was able to use this as a excuse to rally a few more followers.
When Cole became the Alpha of the pack during Martian's attempted, he flew into an uncontrollable, feral rage. He went on a rampage, slathering all of Martian's followers. With each kill of the Beta werewolves that followed Martian, Cole became stronger as Alphas do when they kill a member of their pack. Once the dust settled, and he calmed down, he found the blood on his hands, and saw the carnage both he and Martian caused. This moment disturbed him deeply. After the dead were buried, he became more closed off, and isolated. His pack tried to cheer him up, but to no use.
