The world is dying and nothing can stop it... or is there?

Darkness comes in many forms to lash out at the world that holds so tightly to the light. It's venomous touch corrupts everything in it's reach. The people of this planet abused their power sucking away the gifts the planet gave them. They lost touch with the voice of the planet to the point that they couldn't even here it cry for its children. Three hundred years ago was known as the day of "Rebirth" Unseen Guardians of both Light and Dark bestow power great strength and abilities to the unknowing inhabitants of the world in hopes to restore balance.

But Humans are foolish and are ignorant of the end of the world. They progress in their every day lives with out a care in the world thinking things will just work themselves out. The darkness exploits our foolishness. The City of Altruan is said to be the point in which the future will be decided. Will the darkness win or will you have the power to stand against it and make you mark in history. The shadows of a mysterious force has begun to infect the citizens of Altruan. Most push the events happening around them to the back of their minds and pretend it is all just a a dream or some sort of urban legend of people going missing or seeing ghosts. But a select few know that the city is on the brink of destruction. Anyone can go from being your friend one day to your worst nightmare in just the span of a blink. News reports of increase in murders and theft in the past month have put the city on edge. Few are able to ignore the rising stress and frustrations.

The powers are random and so are the people who are chosen. These powers come with a cost.

The city of Altruan is on edge. People have been going missing left and right. Multiple murders have been committed through out the city with no seemingly common link. Theft and violent outburst have almost become a part of normal day life.


Due to the increase in crime a special task force has been assigned to all unusual incidents. The organization has been dubbed Gladius and operates out side of normal police activities.
