Introduction
Whoever said life on the milling was easy, is a liar.
Welcome to Whittington's Mill, the heart of Ketchum and one of the most powerful mills in the wool industry. It is a very sucessful business that has been entrusted to the Whittington's for 7 generations, and will stay with the Whittington's for several more.
The Whittington's Mill is a huge industry, the only thing keeping Ketchum alive. It employs most of the residents and creates high quality wool for most of the population in the area. It is a very vibrant and sucessful thing, up until recently.
The newest mill, Pott's & Sons, has taken over and completely modernising the way clothes come along. Several people have completely abanded Whittington's Mill, and now it is about to be sold to Pott's.
Will the final profits be enough to keep it within the ownership of Whittington's?
Note: There will be several romances, fights, disagreements...

I do not like Character Skeletons, I feel like they limit potentials people have. Basicly, on your character's include the role, give detailed descriptions of personalities, appearances, etc....I will only accept good characters.

OOC Notes
Deliah sat on the hill overlooking the mill all alone. The breeze wasn't exactly cold, but it was cool enough to make her cheeks red and sting them a bit. The sheep grazed on the pasture and the clouds gathered overhead, threatening Deliah, threatening to rain on her.
The steady creak of the wheel could be heard, and the occasional bawl of the sheep. Otherwise, it was basicly silent. Deliah didn't want to be alone, but she had to be for the time being. Nobody could help her, not with the debt that was constantly on her mind.

Reggie finished his day and tossed the papers in his bag. "Another day another dollar." He muttered. Waving to the others, he pushed through the glass door and started walking down the road. "I need a better way to get around." he thought to himself. This set his mind in motion for dozens of different things before he realized he was in front of the Whittington mill. He looked up and saw Delilah. "Hey Delilah!" He called out. "How's the business heading?"

Deliah was lost in thought until she saw her good friend Reggie, who also happened to be the banker. "The business? It's doing great, thank you, Mr. Booker. And how is yours?" Deliah lied, smiling her most charming and friendly smile. She didn't want news of the debt to spread, although she knew it wouldn't be long.

"You should know better than to lie to a banker." He said walking towards her. He kept it quiet enough so only she could hear. "It's fine but I'm more concerned about what's going to happen here." He stopped close to the front of the house. "You know if there's anything you need, I'm willing to help right?"

"I wouldn't dream of taking any money from you, and that is the only help I need," Deliah said, shaking her head, but smiling at him. Inside, she was falling apart at the thought of losing her precious mill. What would become of her if the mill suddenly was gone? She looked down, ashamed of lying to Reggie.

"Delilah, you should realize by now that I can help more than that." He smiled at her. "Come on, let me help just a little." He pulled a check book out of his bag. "See this? Useless." He tossed it into the bag again. "But this," he flexed and smiled in a goofy way. "This can work for you. Any time I'm free I can help. Bank pays me enough, so you don't even have to worry about paying me."

"If you'd like to work on the mill, Mr. Booker, I will be more than happy to let you work. However, I will have to give you a salary...It's only common curtesy," Deliah said, smiling at him and watching the sheep behind him. She refused to hire someone without paying them. It would not be good. And he would do more then earn his pay, knowing Reggie.

"I'll help but I'm not taking any pay from you Delilah. I'm a friend, here to help. Nothing more." He took off his button up, showing his Tee-shirt underneath and stuffed the shirt in the almost-empty bag. "Just tell me where to start."

"I insist you take the pay. Whittington's does need charity, not yet," Deliah said, watching him with sincere interest. She suddenly felt odd, being called a friend by a high ranked banker. She didn't know what to say or do, she just watched him, wondering where to get him to start.

"Can't do that. It's not charity, it's being a good person." He kicked off his shoes and curled his toes. The grass between them felt good, especially after being cramped inside all day. He put his stuff off to the side and smiled. "Where do I start?" He smiled at her and his process was somewhere along the lines of, "Wow she's beautiful."

"I suppose, Mr. Booker, you could start with taking inventory with me, if you'd like," Deliah said, sighing and giving in to the charitable work Reggie was doing for him. She looked him over and smiled. She knew her sister liked him, very much,but she didn't know why except he was handsome.

"Well a little different than I thought but sure. Lead the way ma'am." He grinned at her. "What are we doing inventory on? The sheep? The wool?" His mind started racing about different possibilities. "I'm sure it won't take long so be sure to have another job lined up for me all right?"

"The wool and the dye," Deliah said, leading him into the stockroom. It was a musty room full of wool and a broken spinning machine. "And after that, you can try and fix that machine, if you'd like," Deliah added, handing him a quill and some paper, ready to take inventory.

"All right. I can do that." He took the paper and quill, setting it on a shelf nearby. "Got a tape measure around here? Or know the size of the shelves?" He asked, picking up a jar of dye and inspecting it. "If so I can be done in ten, fifteen tops with the inventory." He put the jar back and took up a spool of wool. Physically he looked like he was looking for some minor flaw in it but in his head, gears were spinning and numbers were crunching. That is until he sneezed from a little dust and lost count. "Ah damn."

Deliah couldn't help but giggle as he lost count. "They are all 2 meter shelves," she said, trying not to laugh at him. She didn't want to offend him or make him mad. She hoped she wasn't making him mad, she knew that she could easily do that, to anyone. Independent women made some people very mad.

"All right thanks." He turned and looked at her, her grin bigger than normal. "All right let me have it." His shoulders drooped and his head bowed. He sighed and chuckled a bit. "I know I'm hopeless." He perked back up and turned around. "But hey at least I can help you here." He picked up the paper and slowly walked down the isles, writing down how many shelves, how full they were, how many of each product and so on.

"I owe you, Mr. Booker," Deliah said, taking inventory also, but grinning at him anyways. She honestly thought he was a very friendly guy, but didn't understand why he was helping out a dying mill run by lower class people. Not even the friendliest banker had done that, not that Deliah had ever heard of.

"Here you go." He handed her the paper, the numbers all laid out in an orderly fashion. "That should be good but just in case..." He dragged his fingers through the air and made a few tapping motions. "Yeah that's right." He walked over to the spinner and took a look around it. "This one will take a little longer than inventory. I can get it though. Where are the tools?"

"One second," Deliah said, taking the papers and walking out of the room. She came back in with a box of tools. "These are we have, at the moment." She handed him the tools, lingering with her hands touching his for a moment before quickly going to her small desk in the corner of the room, where she figured the value of the wool.

He managed to stutter a "Thank you." He felt like an idiot as his face flushed and he turned to the machine. It seemed old and worn, but with any luck, he could fix it by the end of the day. "I might need your help in a bit. Not right now though." He slid under the machine and started working. The dust fell into his eyes and he swore. "Ah dammit." He let lose a few obscenities under his breath. He hated when things messed with his eyes. Always had.

"I'd be happy to help, Mr. Booker," she said, not looking up from her work. She sighed, wanting to cry, when she stared at the final results. "There isn't even enough to cover half of the debt yet," she muttered, frustrated, unsure of what to do.

He heard her sigh and mutter something, but he couldn't hear what it was from across the room. Trying to get her to come over and get her mind off things for a second, he braced himself, and smacked his head on the underside of the machine. "Ow. Damn, today's not my day!"

Deliah ran to Reggie's side, forgetting the current situation. "Oh, dear, what have you done Mr. Booker?" she asked in a concerned voice, beside him, ready to help with whatever was wrong. She stared into his eyes, wondering how he managed to hurt himself.

"Ah thought I had a little more clearance. Smacked my head on the underside of the machine." He slid out from under it, a knot on his forehead all ready. "Sucker punched and good." He chuckled.

"Oh, goodness...come on," she said, grabbing his wrist and taking him out of the mill and into her small cottage. In the kitchen, she grabbed a pail of cold water and washrag and put it on his forehead, mumbling, "Oh you poor thing." She felt very bad for him.

Hey Guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been very busy lately. I realised the rules haven't been officialy posted, so I figured I better. Here they are:
1. No Sentence Posts
Please make your posts at least 3 sentences long, dialog, even if it's just "Yeah," counts as one sentence. Don't make a post more then 6 paragraphs, either. One healthy paragraph is ideal.
2. No Godmodding
Do not control other people's characters. Whether it be through action, dialog, or any other way. If it happens more than 3 times, you will be removed from the RP.
If anyone objects or would like to make a change to these rules, please tell me and I will consider. If any of these seem extreme or unrealisitic, I will do my best to come to the terms of the other RPers. If anyone violates the rules, please report them to me through OOC or PM and I will do my best to tell them or remove them from the RP.

Its cool I totally understand you don't know unless someone lets you know. If your new to the RP scene, stuff happens it's just some people are really touchy about it, if it had been me it wouldn't have bothered me that much unless it was a regular thing. You can't expected to know the etiquette if someone doesn't tell you so I'm glad to help you out mate. If you have any questions just ask me I'd be glad to answer them to the best of my abilities. I haven't been a member of this site too long but I've been roleplaying for years.
Also you have to post like five or six times in the OOC's to be able to PM someone back if your curious as to why you couldn't send a PM back to me. Like I said in the PM feel free to interact with my character and I'll get back with it in the morning but right now I'm gonna try to get a few hours of sleep before I have to go to class in the morning. Just check back when you can
