Ian sat in his normal throne. He was resting, but only for a moment as he gathered his thoughts, trying to confirm himself that what he was about to do was a good thing. Although he had done it countless times before, he always asked himself if it was the right thing to do.
Image

He tapped his fingers quickly, in sync with his racing thoughts. Finally he stood abruptly and left the room in three long strides. He made his way up the grand staircase and to his room.
Image
He retrieved his things from the bedside table and headed back out the door.

He went back down the staircase, his feet shuffling as fast as he could making it down in a few seconds. He went to the closest surface near him which aimed him toward the kitchen.
Image
He reached his hands into his pockets and pulled out a plastic sack, and a razor. He uncurled the knot in the bag easily and let the white powder fall onto the marble before him. He cut up the smaller rocks then replaced the razor and sack back into his pocket. He formed two fat lines and lined them up next to each other. He leaned his head down, the tip of his nose slightly jolted by the coldness of the marble. He flared his nostrils and slid his head down and inhaled deeply, taking both of them at the same time. When he was done, sniffing up the extra glass that had strayed from his lines. He threw his head back, a groan of pleasure escaping his lips as the meth instanly entered into his system. His eyes rolled in the back of his head and for a split second, Ian was lost. Lost in the overwhelming feeling of this pleasure. He sighed slowly, his breath barely stable. He steadied himself, holding his hands on the surface in front of him. He eased his breathing to a steady pace and walked out of the kitchen towards...wherever.

Wherever was right into Hayley.

They basically crashed. Ian jumped back, the crystal putting him on complete edge. He realized who he was nearly cowering from and recovered himself, standing back near her. His eyes naturally traveling down her body. He took in every feature of her. Her fire hair framing her high cheek bones. Her stunning aqua eyes. They seemed to pierce right into him. She was staring right back into his own purple orbs. She could clearly see that he was high.

"Your totally sprung." Hayley stated, annoyed. She began nodding, as if proving it to herself even though it was completely obvious. "Your eyes are sooo frickin' dialated."

Ian moslty ignored her, not really even comprehending the words that poured out of her mouth. He was too busy looking at her to even understand what she was saying. His eyes traveled to her full, firm breasts then her lucious curves. Her pale complextion bringing out her features. Finally Hayley's voice reached his ears. "...I'm not a piece of meat." His eyes were back on hers, his eyebrows lowering. A smirk forming on his face. "Dear Hayley," The smirk turning into a grin showing off his perfectly pointed fangs. He closed the distance between them, pressing her lightly against the wall. "You are if I say you are." His eyes traveled lower as well as his right hand, starting on her stomach down to her leg. Hayley quickly snatched him with her hand. She clenched his wrist tightly and squeezed him, almost hard enough to break his hardened bone. He grunted in pain and she twisted his chin so he was looking right at her. "You don't touch me unless I say so." She pushed him away and headed up the stairs and into the arms of the closest vampire around the corner.

Ian snarled up at her, but he would let this one slide. This time.

. . . . .

Jenson was in her wolf form. Flying over her land, her nose taking in every scent that she crossed. She recieved a few whifs of vampires, but nothing fresh. This angered her thouroughly. They continued to get past, and this surely would not do. She growled deeply and broke into an even faster sprint.

She wished just one would come within contact of her so she could pummel them. How stupid of her to have trusted them once before, but she wouldn't be so foolish a second time. Ian was the cause of all of this. Her sickening, traitor twin. She hated admitting that they were family. She wanted nothing to do with him now. And with his previous mate out of the way and Midnight out of the picture how would anything go back to the way it had been?

It had been so easy, not having as much drama as there had been. She scolded herself again for continuing to blame herself. It had everything to do with him and how he always had to rebel. Ever since they had been children, he had never wanted to be a wolf like the rest of the family. He wanted to be different. To defy what he was supposed to do.

She huffed and felt her skin getting hot, she was beginning to change back. No worry, though, she was nearly at her destination. She could feel her bones shrinking down and snapping to return back to their normal shape. She sighed once before she completely transformed, a shrieking howl turning into a human scream. She was on her knees, breathing hard. She took a shakey step to steady herself to stand up fully.

She looked up at the large tree in front of her. It was right on the edge of the water and gave her a complete birds eye view of the Vampires territory. Unless they could not be detected, she would hear them coming. She climbed her way up the branches to sit on the sturdy limb that had been worn from using it as her perch so many times. Her midnight blue eyes following the horizon and scanning everything in between the river and their waste of ash and nothing. She could spot the castle, but it was far back in the depths. Just a dark shadow over their terrible living habits.

. . . . .

Ace veered off of the highway in his blue with black stripes mustang cobra.
Image
His cousin had called him two short days ago and asked him for his aid. Again. He drummed his thumbs against the wheel and wondered what his irresponsible family could have gotten into this time. He hated all of this fighting and it just seemed pointless to him, but he would help if it was possible, but he would never lay a hand on Jenson.

The gravel road leading up to the castle was barely visible from the road, but he knew the area from being here before. The only good thing coming out of this would be seeing her again. He smiled momentarily at the idea, but put it aside. That was not the reason he was called here, but he knew it would be a major distraction to see Oren again.

He was happy about it, nonetheless and when he parked his vehicle he stayed placed in the drivers seat just letting the music calm his nerves. He needed to keep a level head before arriving inside. Ian would easily throw him off. His always ever changing mood made him wonder over and over if he was bipolar. Maybe him being here would settle him some. His power came in handy when he was around the Leader of the Vampires.

He tuned out the world and let the tune in his car swallow him;

I open both of my eyes
Still see an empty place, so empty

But if I keep them closed
And there's still a chance, that something is out there

But it's all built upon a burial ground
It just doesn't feel right
It just doesn't feel right

I made a promise to you long ago
That I'd do anything to keep this home

On top the frozen creek
I would love to take you there
Swear it froze through me
On top the frozen creek, oh

Up on the pebble driveway
There sits a house
But its the loneliest place

I haven't spent much time there
I wasn't allowed
It just didn't seem right

She wasn't entirely sure how long she'd been gone, she'd somewhat lost count with all that had been taking place...most of which she really did not care to talk about. Oren made her way through the woods without a lot of trouble. Apparently Animal House were busy with other things, and she wasn't especially interested in getting in to a fight with them anyway. She didn't exactly feel up to it considering.

Oren, the lieutenant of the Springside Clan, hadn't been seem in the area for some time. She had never envisioned herself coming crawling back to Ian like a wayward pet, but then again she'd never envisioned what had happened to her during her absence, and she was keen to go for anything that could get her a steady job and supply of blood bags, and give her a bit of back-up. She prided herself on being strong, but there were a lot of Sanguinarius, and only one of her.

She just really hated admitting that she needed help, especially the help of that asshat Ian McKinley.

The vampire approached the place, pulling her coat around her shoulders and gazing up at the walls. The front door seemed to have been replaced at least, but it was closed, and locked. If things were anything like when she left, she could be waiting forever if she knocked, as nobody was ever keeping an eye on the door, and even as desperate as she was she was not going to stand around worrying about sunrise.

Her grey eyes flicker up, catching sight of an open window a couple of floors up. Difficult for a human, but no real struggle for someone with her talents. She broke into a run-down and jumped, hitting the wall and pushing off from the doorframe, grasping hold of a vertical drainpipe and jumping from that onto the window ledge.

The vamp slipped into the room, pushing her hair back from her face, rather relieved she hadn't swung in on a vampire doing anything disgusting, and luck seemed to be, in fact, on her side. In fact she was sure enough that she could hear Ian nearby...which could have been a good thing or a bad thing.

She caught sight of a mirror on the dresser in the room, and took a glance at her reflection. Oh God she didn't look good.
Oren looked rather exhausted, and to make it worse she had a rather larg,e partially healed cut along the side of her face.
"Well it probably suits...looking like this to mark the death of my dignity..." she muttered, slipping through the door.

Soon, she caught sight of her clan leader and stepped up behind him. She did at least have the element of surprised. Hopefully he wasn't drunk. Or high. Or both. Who was she kidding? The times when he was neither were pretty infrequent at this time of day.

"Long time no see Ian." she greeted, hands in her pockets.

Ian inhaled through his nostrils and could smell the new arrivals, both of which were no strangers so he was relieved at that. Hearing his second in comand speak made a smile pull up the corners of his lips, his fangs visible.
He cleared his throat and turned around to greet her, pupils enlarged and she would notice right away. Not like she wasn't used to this, however.

"It has been a long time, hasn't it Oreo?" He said, looking her over, his eyebrows raising.
He reached out to touch the mark that had partially obscured her beauty but whithin inches of her, he retreated. That probably was not a good idea.

He glanced to the door and knew before he would knock that someone was coming also.
In a flash of speed he was at the door and opened it, smiling at Ace, holding out a hand to welcome him inside.
Ace also had his hands in his pockets, his eyes grazing over the new elegant door that had taken the place from the one that had been destroyed.

"Nice door." He commented, stepping in and giving a half smile at the Leader.

His eyes focused on Oren and he gave her a grin, as well followed by a small wave. "Well, what a surprise."

Ian cleared his throat and shook his head, he knew their background and he wanted to ignore even the thought of her with his family.

"So anyways," Ian began stepping to stand next to Oren. It really had been quite some time. Too long, if you asked him, but he would never admit that he actually missed her and wanted her back.

"The wolves have uped their security. Jenson rarely sleeps and always stays in that tree, and we need more humans. It has been three or four days since I have fed and who knows how long for Hayley up there...." As if he truly cared about her but he did not want a disgusting winged creature endangering anyone in the house.

Sarina sat in her room. Or what she called her room. It was small, the walls brick and undecorated. Her bed wasn't nice at all. In fact, it was basically old blankets folded together with a pillow on top. The room was only big enough to take three leaps across both ways, but she didn't mind. The facts were, she had picked the room. It wasn't meant to be a bedroom. It was meant as a closet or storage room. But being as she liked small spaces, she had requested the room.
She also liked that it had a loft. If you just walked in, you wouldn't see it. Even if you looked for awhile you probably would miss it. The ceiling was low. If she jumped she'd hit her head. Thats how she found the loft in the first place. Hit her head and heard it was hallow. You see, in the corner of the small room was a part of the ceiling that wasn't attached to the rest. It was justa cut out part of the ceiling, with two boards on top to keep it up. If you pushed on it, it would go up and lead to the loft. She considered it her best find. A perfect hiding place.

Sarina edged toward her secret lofts door and pushed it open. Then she hoist herself up into the darkness, and felt for her dagger. When finding it she dropped out of the loft, and strapped the knife to her thigh. Then she took her cloak and wrapped it around her shoulders, tying it tight around her waist. It was her favorite item of clothing. Not only did it keep her cold flesh warm, it hid her. She didn't like standing out, and usually it helped her avoid that. Pulling her red hair into a bun, she stepped out of her 'bedroom'.
She inhaled, the sent of her fellow vampires near by. She wasn't really planning on running into anyone though. If she was good at something, it was only being around when wanted. Her blue eyes, dark as sapphires, skimmed the hallway, before picking a direction and walking. She wasn't sure where she was going, or why. She just felt the need to be about. Move around besides in her small room. She was quite hungry to be telling the truth, but hunting wasn't an option. Besides, she fed only a few days ago. She'd be fine for awhile. She had to be.

Oren gave an internal sigh of relief. Ian wasn't pissed. She could cope with him being pissed when she was settled in her job, she could cope with him being pissed better than most of the clan. He'd often threatened her in the past, and she'd always reminded him that if he killed her, he'd have to replace her....however she'd been more concerned about not getting her job back.

Straight back into scientists mode, she began considering what he was talking about.

"Something told me the peace wasn't going to last. Hardly imagine you and Jenson being best buds for this long. Well, fortunately for you Ian, my brain is going just as quickly as it ever did, and I do have a way for us to....economize on humans to cope with a famine. Quite a few clans do it now for lean periods, and it might help you out. A lot of clans use bleeders, they catch humans and set them aside, keep them alive and extract blood on a regular basis for sharing among the vamps. A few humans wouldn't produce enough to satisfy everyone in the clan, but it would at least stop anyone going feral while we worked on getting the fleabags to simmer down." she responded.

It was quite good to finally be back in a role she was suited to.

Oren gave a reluctant smile to Ace. She wasn't really one for smiling, but at the same time it was still rather novel to have someone greeting her in such a way, and it was a concerted effort not to appear as defensive (or offensive) as she generally did around people. It was especially impressive considering she'd upped and disappeared so much as a goodbye.
"Didn't realize you were still around here." she stated.
"Good to see you."

Ace came closer to her as Ian had found his way over to the wall to lean against it going over what she was saying in his head.

"It's very good to see you too." If they were alone he would have taken her hands and he could have stared into her grey eyes forever. It was so relieving to see her again. His eyes averted to the floor and he thought about her idea.
"I think it's brilliant." He murmered, eyeing Ian who he could see nodding as well.

The Leader stepped off of the wall and thought for a moment. "We can get Hayley to nab a couple of them. Send her and Sarina, they will be the easiest to not be detected by the dogs." He headed up the stairs towards Hayley's room. He knew his cousin was just itching for alone time.

"I am really glad that you came back." He whispered, looking at her again. "He really needs you. I can feel his eagerness that you have arrived to help."

. . . . .

Hayley was in her room blaring her Ipod when Ian bursted in the doorway, marching over to her bed. He snatched the headphones out of her ears and ordered her to stand.
"Get up. Get Sarina. You have a job to do."

Hayley's aqua globes glared up at him but she could not deny his request. He disappeared just as quickly as he had come and she grumbled to herself.

She went out into the hallway, following the scent of the "pet" of the house.

"Hey," She said to her when she finally located her. "we gotta go and get a few bleeders. Ian's orders. You and me..." She trailed off and began heading for the door, glancing over her shoulder to see if the girl was following her.

Sarina's eyes flickered around here. She never seemed to not be focused on something. She was busy counting the little patterns in the floor. Blue, green, red, purple. Blue, green, red, purple...Over and over she counted the colors. She was up to 126 and was quite sucked into her little challenge to count them. Only did she snap out of it at the sound of Haley's voice. She looked at the girl start to walk out.

"Coming.." she mummered. More to herself than Haley. She started to walk to the door, following her. She didn't mind going at all. It gave her something to do, and she pretty much loved to sneak around places. Sarina continued to walk till she was outside, breathing in the not so fresh air. Since everything had gone kind of dead, outside never had a really outside like smell. she tilted her head slightly, trying to picture the place full of life, green and lush. But she couldn't. She was too used to the deadness of the place.
Sarina's eyes scanned the area before looking back at Haley. Sarina knew her place, and it was to be the follower, not the followed. So she waited for Haley to lead the way.

Oren looked over at Ace once Ian was gone, feeling a little awkward and more than a little guilty about leaving the guy hanging as she had.
"I'm really surprised that he wasn't pissed off with me." she replied when she was sure the leader was out of earshot.
"Actually no-one I've seen has been pissed off with me...which is a pretty surprising development. You know Ian, thought he'd have had a voodoo doll of me on his bedside table by now considering how I left and how he tends to react to his minions going against his wishes...eh...maybe I'm used to the old Exsanguis and their slightly less...er...forgiving attitude. She responded, self-consciously touching the cut on her face.

"I also owe you an apology for the houdini act I did after the clan got rid of Cray. It's a long story and not one I really want to go into, but long story short, I couldn't contact anyone for a while, and my phone is fucked." to illustrate she pulled a broken phone from her pocket.

"See? Pretty screwed." she remarked.
"Believe me none of this has been out of choice, I can tell you that for nothing. "

Hayley glanced back to Sarina. The girl seemed slightly distracted by the land around her but she knew that she would follow her to the river.

"We need to be concealed, get around Jenson. I am going to put my force field up...so you will not be able to see me. Or smell me. Or hear me...So it may be hard to keep up. Just go the way that you feel is the safest. Don't forget, she has fire powers so don't get burned."

Immediately after telling her that she disappeared, her shield up and she was completely concealed. No power could penetrate and she would never be noticed by the she wolf.

They neared the river and she easily leaped over the barrier between the two lands. She glanced up at the Alphess who looked quite alert, but even being this close to her, she would never detect her. She snickered and headed deeper into the woodland, looking for the wall that she needed to coquer before getting into the town.

. . . . .

Ace shook his head, finally not caring and grasping her hands in his own. He looked at her, his gaze never breaking from only looking at her.

"You do not need to apologize. I was busy as well." He gave a small chuckle. "I understand that you have a life." He looked at the phone and snickered. "You're going to have to ask money bags to replace that. I could ask, if you like."

He smiled and broke the connection finally. He didn't want to come to forward for her so he dropped her hands, hoping that she was not uncomfortable.

"I really missed you." He murmered.

Sarina gave a slight nod. The only good thing bout her cloak is that it concealed her scent, helping her sneak around wolves. Sarina ran through the woods quietly, then jumped across the river, landing without making a sound. She had jumped quickly, to make sure she'd not be seen by Jenson, just in case. She then slipped into the woods on the other side. She may not be invisible, but she was never noticed. She used it to her advantage when she could.

Sarina sniffed the air. It now smelled more like woods, peaceful and quiet. It was nice, and instantly cleared her mind. Somehwere a little ways away, she could smell humans and wolves both. She smiled softly. Her eyes darted around her as she moved along in the forest, keeping a lookout for Haley to see if she'd reappear. It wasn't fun having your companion completely hidden, but it was helpful to Haley, so it wouldn't be surprising if she kept the forcefield up. As Sarina ran, she tightened the cloak around her to keep it from flailing around as she ran.

Oren resisted her natural urge to pull her hands away and held onto Ace's hands for a few moments. She was not really good with physical contact, but she knew there was nothing sordid behind it at least, and had considerably more trust in Ace than most people.

"I missed you too...and as much as I am loathe to say it I missed this hole and the bunch of needy drunks that live in it....but well..I guess experience does that to you. It got to the point where a load of stoned bloodsuckers fighting and groping seemed like a better option compared to what was going on..." she hesitated, and changed the subject. She didn't really want to get into that.

"...anyway..do you have any idea what's been going on here? Seems like there are a load of vamps round here that I haven't seen...and the wolves are a lot more pissy since I left...not that I'm all that surprised that they had a falling out without a common enemy to deal with. Still, trying to starve everyone is still a bit extreme for them...and ultimately pretty stupid..as rather than a bunch of happy, stoned vamps taking a few humans, you'll get a bunch of angry, hungry, feral vamps chewing on anything with a pulse."

Hayley glanced back seeing Sarina right behind her. Good. Suddenly out of nowhere, Jenson was right on their tail. In her wolf form nonetheless, and she looked pissed.

Shit, she must have heard her coming...Her minds tricks are the worst.

Hayley barely made it over the wall and she helped Sarina over. Jenson was snapping at their heels then hurried off, probably to her reninforcements. Why hadn't she just used her little mind control power to stop the intruder? She was very confused but they were safe and that was all that truly mattered. She slipped back into visibility, sighing half heartedy.

They were in an alley, a familiar one at that. Hayley was thankful for the clothing she had chosen. A pink corset that was strapless, cut up shorts that were light denim with fish nets covering her legs. She had on converse to compliment the outfit and she was sure that some human would fall for the hoax, thinking she was a whore looking for a friend.

. . . .

Ace could feel her uncomfort and he mentally kicked himself for pushing the boundaries. He cleared his throat and thought for a moment.

"They will forever protect the humans. They find that it is their duty to keep them safe and...undrained. They do not want them to find out about our species and I don't know if they really care about us becoming..basically crazy." He sighed.

"Anyway.." He trailed off, and focused on her mood, forcing her to be a little more upbeat. To be happy and easing of her mind. He glanced at her and could visibly see her comfort rising. He gave her a smile before leaning against the wall.

Sarina had heard Jenson following them, and was quite confused. She could've got them if she wanted. she wasn't going to dwell on it though, no point in questioning a chance to live.
Sarina sniffed the air, glad to be in a town. She looked at Haley expectingly, as if awaiting orders. She could find some way to lure a human out, but she wasn't really sure what Haley wanted her to do with them or where to bring them. In the back of her mind, she had an urge to run wild through town. She laughed mentally at herself, think it was such a childish thought. Awaiting to see if Haley had any further demands, Sarina pulled her hood down and took her hair out of the bun, letting her hair hang loose around her shoulders.

Oren leaned back against the wall, unwinding the scarf from around her neck as she did so. Beneath it remained the white scarring from her little brush with death she'd gotten a while back, courtesy of Cray. She wasn't sure if Ace had heard about that little episode...she didn't imagine Ian would've been keen to recount himself crying over the whole thing...it sort of ruined the bad guy image just a little.
"...still you'd think you're realize what a massive shitshorm they'd cause if they ended up with a dozen crazy flying vampmonsters unleashing the fucking fury all over the region. Then again that's the Springside Pack for you. I was told once that dogs don't really consider consequences, and live in the moment rather than assessing situations...and apparently it's true with some werewolves too." she replied, shrugging her shoulders.

"...but anyway..I'd better wander down and start dusting off the lab...I can't imagine for a second that anyone round here have been using it...with the possible exception of making illegal substances.....so I'd better get it back into working order. Want to come along? I can promise it'll be interesting, but you're welcome to come." she offered, seeming to already be in a reasonably good mood...well for Oren anyway. She wasn't exactly a laugh a minute....but she hadn't told anyone to go kill themselves.

(Her name is spelled Hayley, btw. ^^)

Hayley saw a couple of men walking down the sidewalk, they were in their own conversation but the taller of the two suddenly stopped talking when he layed eyes on the girls. She could imagine what it looked like. One girl showing everything and the other being the mysterious one.

She gave him a devilsh smile and motioned with a tilt of her head to come and join them in the darkness. They eagerly followed after, the shorter one seeming to be more hesitant, but he eventually came around and headed into the alley, joining his friend.

Taken aback, Hayley's vision blurred. She could still see what was going on in front of her, but she was recieving a vision. She saw Jenson and another wolf and they were running. Speeding through the trees and they were after something. It was them. She growled as the image faded. Somehow she would need to prevent this from happening, and she knew just how to do it.

She welcomed one of the men into her arms and just as he got close enough to her she hit a pressure point and held it for a few seconds and he collapsed, complete dead weight, but it was nothing for her. She was used to carrying humans and this was nothing new.

"Come on." She instructed Sarina who also had the male under control. "You are going to have to hold my hand for this to work...Just trust me, please" They would need to be touching if she were going to use her powers to hide the two of them and the humans.

. . . . .

Ace agreed with her. They would indeed have much more trouble containing blood thirsty monsters then staying sane and feeding not as often.

He followed her down to the lab and chuckled. "I can assure you that no one has touched any of your things...However those patches may be gone...I think Hayley took one as well...Oh, well." He shrugged, there was nothing to be done about it now. That was a while back.

His golden orbs traveled over the equipment after they passed the dungeon and he wanted to help clean with her. He was the nice guy after all. He picked up a rag and began shining up some of the beakers and flasks for her.

"So, how are you, darling?" He asked, smiling over at her.

Oren started looking through the things, checking everything was more or less where she left it. Oh she'd missed her laboratory lair. She hadn't had the facilities to do any research while she was away...but it all came pretty easily to her. She blew the dust off her ledger and flicked through the pages as she took her old lab coat off the hook by the door.

She pulled off her trench coat and slipped the lab coat on over her shoulders. Scientists Oren was back and she wasn't intending on relinquishing that for a while. She began looking through the flasks of assorted chemicals left in the store cupboard.
"How am I?" she asked.
"Well, could be better I suppose. You can't pretend you haven't seen that great big scratch on my face. Plus I haven't had blood in a while...I wouldn't worry though...you've got a while before I start trying to chew your face off or anything...I can go quite a while before I go all batty. Used to have endurance training in The Ex. Been going long periods without blood since....to build tolerance...of course I can't hold it off inevitably but I can go a while longer. How've things been for you?"

Sarina had knocked out the other guy, holding him up by his arm like a ragdoll. She looked down at the two men and back up at Hayley. She was getting a slight headache like she often did for no reason.

"Okay, " she replied simply, taking her hand.

She didn't know Hayley that great, but she still trusted her. She was a fellow vampire after all. Sarina wasn't able to focus much though, the scent of humans making her stomach growl. She mentally cursed at herself. She would not get hungry while doing a simple chore for Ian.

Thinking back, Sarina couldn't even remember most of her past. She remembered her being young, then being a vampire. There was a big gap inbetween. But some reason she felt the need to do what ever Ian needed her to despite how it effected her. You'd think that scare her, but it didn't.

Ian came down the stairs, heading towards the voices in the labratory. He came down the stairs into the dungeon and looked over the empty stone walled lair. He went to the chains that had once held an angel, as well as wolves.

Hayley was hurrying through the wolves territory and thinking ahead, she changed the future and they were completely undetected. They came busting through the door and she followed the scent towards the dungeon. She found Ian and went to the shackles and began to restrain the men onto the wall.

"I did what you asked. Sarina did well...but Jenson almost got us." She shuddered. If she had been captured again she would have gone insane. She thanked God that she had the ability to be invisble and to restrict all powers from touching her.

Ian smirked and stood over one of the males. He leaned down, falling to his knees, gracefully, however and his fangs sunk into the flesh of his neck. He began gulping down the delicious addiction. He almost drained the human but restrained himself and pulled away. A single drop of blood slid down his chin but he did not let it escape and slid his finger up collecting the escapie.

His violet eyes fell on Sarina. He didn't talk to her much unless he needed something, but he decided maybe she deserved more attention. Besides, she had done well at following his orders.

He came near her, his eyes grazing over her before meet her eyes again. He touched her hair and slipped it behind her ear, a slight smile forming on his face. "Thank you, Sarina."

. . . . .

Ace watched her change. He honestly loved her trench coat, but in her lab coat she looked like a genius. He found her so beautiful, he wanted to hold her, to take care of her. Prove to her that someone actually cared about her and appreciated her.

He wanted to know why she had the scar, but he would not press her unless she wanted to tell him. He came closer to her and found the courage to lift his finger and very gently trace the mark down her face. He hoped it would not disturb her and he enveloped her in a calm state to make sure she would not just throw him out.

"Hmm, I have been...lonely. I got back into drinking some, but that was just to help the depression...I don't want to continue complaining...I like your lab coat.." He mentioned, stepping away to give her the space she probably caved.

Sarina followed Hayley down to the dugeon and watched the humans be chained up. She wondered how long one person lasted for till they needed to find someone new. But didn't dwell on the thought.

Her eyes darted to Ian as he came near. Sarina's dark blue eyes looked up at him. She gave a slight nod. "No reason to be thankful, Sir. Just doing what you asked." She spoke calmly, not showing any wavering in emotion from his change in attitude. But she did smile back brightly. Sarina had been ignored as a kid, she remembered. It was what she was used to. Not being thanked. Not to say she didn't not like being thanked. It did make her a little happier.

"Tell me if you need me, Sir." Sarina mummered. She gave a slight nod before turning to leave the room and go back to her room. She'd sleep in the loft today probably. It was are, but it always helped her headaches. Not to mention it was dark. Perfect, calm, and dark.

A dark form followed the Werewolf Alphess as she sped across the land towards the Vampires domain. The creature moved swiftly, avoiding trees and bushes even at it's inhuman speed and still barely making any noise at all.
The Alphess stopped, reverted to her human form and began to climb a large tree, stopping when she reached a worn branch, and there she sat, looking out over the vampire territory.
The creature that had been following the Alphess through the woods regarded her with cold blue eyes from a patch of shadows on the ground, detecting anger or maybe frustration from her body language.
There was a cracking of bones as they reverted back to their human form, then a man walked out of the shadows to the base of the tree.
"Jenson". Alex said, concern for the Alphess barely touching his baritone voice. "Are you okay?".

Jenson was swinging her legs back and forth, trying to calm herself.
She let herself fall back, her legs catching her weight on the branch. It looked like something a gymnist would do.
She sighed and let her legs give in, doing a backflip and landing on the ground without making any audible noise. The only showing that she had landed was the disruption of dirt that clouded around her feet at fell back to the ground.

She turned around to face Alexander, moving a stray bit of dark hair out of her face and placed it behind her ear. She looked up at him, the four inch difference forced her to avert her eyes up.

She shrugged her shoulders and cursed under her breath, turning around on her heel. "They got away...I let them get away." She growled, wanting to hit something, but she would not let her anger show that much. She had to keep a level head. Where was Lux when she needed her.

"Oh, Alex, I'm a fool." She said before throwing herself into his arms. She just wanted to hug something now, it was comforting.

. . . . .

Ian didn't want her to go, so instead of watching whatever the little scientist was doing or his slave firehead or his horny cousin he decided to go after her.

He went up the stairs heading towards her small room.

He leaned against the doorway, one foot foot up against it. He gazed inside of her small domain. It wasn't very interesting, but if she liked it, then whatever.

"You know, you are very pretty..." Ian said, smiling at her, flipping his hair to one the side of his part. He smoothed it down, his purple eyes resting on her.

Sarinas looked at Ian. 'Why was he here? Did I do something wrong?' she thought to herself. He didn't look mad, of course. But you could never tell with Ian. then she heard him tell her she was pretty. If it wasn't for the lack of blood, she would've blushed.
"Thank you, Sir." She spoke softly, bowing her head unable to meet his eyes. Her eyes flickered to where the hidden loft's entrance was. She wasn't sure why sh elooked there, she just did.

When she had first arrived, it was obvious she was the pet. The one who took orders and did as told. It was what she was used to, and she didn't mind it at all. She vaguely remembered her mom speaking. "Help your dad. Get some water. Go to the shop.."

Finally she looked up at Ian. "Was there something you needed, Sir?" she mummered softly.

He could feel how tense she was. How she seemed to be a bit scared, but not entirely. Just one to always follow the orders of what she was told. Ian liked that about her surely, but there was something about her tiny voice. And he loved her hair.

He stepped into her room, seeing her eyes flicker to the cieling. What was she hiding there? He would find out later, but right now he wanted to look at her.

He lifted her chin to look into her stunning eyes and grinned. "I only wanted to talk to you...I just...Wanted some company...If you don't mind. Would you like to come and feed? You probably need it. Give you some of your strength back."

He took her hand lightly and led her back down to the dungeon offering her a drink.

It was unlike Ian to be so tocuhy, especially with lower ranks. Usually he was just yelling or giving orders to whomever was in his way. He didn't care about others, but somehow after leaving the wolves side, he seemed to care more about his own kind. For the most part. But after leaving his hate for the wolves just grew even stronger then before. They were the cause of his anger and if he were to get into a battle, people would be brutally hurt.

'Only wanted to talk...' she thought to herself. So strange for Ian. It was unlike him to want company of someone like her. Or to want to talk to her at all unless it was about getting him something. She wondered what was up with him.

Looking around the dungeon, she spot the humans. She glanced at Ian. "I couldn't. Besides, I still got a good couple of days before I have to feed." She said slowly, her voice quiet. She was hungry, but she didn't feel right feeding. After all, they dragged the humans here for him. Not themeselves.

Her mind briefly wandered back to the wolves chasing her and Hayley down earlier. She wasn't surprised of escaping, just at how easy they got away.

Ian wondered why she refused to drink. He had offered to her, and he was completely satisfied now so why couldn't she enjoy her prize? She did get one of them after all.

He tilted his head curiously and all of a sudden the muscles in his back began to tense up. He needed to release his wings and stretch them.

He pulled his shirt off over his shoulder and tossed in on the ground carelessly and in seconds, black feathered wings sprouted from his back. They were nine feet total in length and they looked strong. He gave a sigh of relief and stretched them as far as he could.

"Sorry...but I am insisting. Please, you need it. You deserve it, beautiful." He smiled at her and his wings flapped a bit as his eyes followed her every move. He barely blinked and he smoothed his hair down again. It was becoming a bad habit.
