Welcome to Marshall Bloodworth Preparatory Academy; or Bloodworth Prep as it is commonly called by the student body. Founded in 1876, the school enrolls students in grades 9 through 12 and a small number of postgraduates. Students at Bloodworth Prep come from across the United States and an array of different countries around the world. It is an independent, co-ed college preparatory boarding school located in the small community of Minerva Ohio. Currently, there are eight-hundred twenty-one students enrolled here, all of whom live on campus. Only the most gifted of students attend this school, acceptance rates for applicants only sit at a mere seventeen percent.

The only way for someone to even have a fleeting chance of attending this prestigious school is to have outstanding marks, a list of extracurricular activities under their belts, an extraordinary talent . . . and coming from a wealthy family doesn’t hurt either.

Nearly all of the students who were lucky enough to get into Bloodworth Prep all come from well-off families who probably have a history with previous generations graduating from the school, however, despite the proud academic achievements the school is noted for, the headmaster isn’t beyond taking small bribes to give a particular child a better chance at making it in. . . .

Don’t be fooled by the school’s rather strict guidelines for what they expect of their students; even though these adolescents come bearing impressive backgrounds, and seem very much educationally driven, Bloodworth Prep is just like every other high school in the country. No matter where you go, teenagers are teenagers. Things go on here that faculty are not even aware of, parties, drama, and like you can imagine; everyone hosts their fair share of secrets. . . .

The lives of several students in particular are about to be chronicled here, the changes that their existences undergo, the happy times, and bad. . . . What will happen remains to be seen, unbeknownst to them, their lives are all connected together.

Academics

Classes at Bloodworth Prep are held Monday through Friday, although Wednesday is a half day. Bloodworth has a student-to-teacher ratio of 5:1. A majority of the faculty have advanced degrees in their fields.

Students are required to take courses in the arts, classical or modern languages, computer science, English, health & human development, history, mathematics, religion, and science. Most students obtain an English diploma, but students who specialize in Latin and Ancient Greek can obtain a classical diploma.

Character Slots: There are four main roles required to start the roleplay, I accept reservations, but I’m strict about enforcing a cap time on how long you may reserve without asking for an extension! If you wish to reserve a slot, ask in the OOC thread, reservations last for 48 hours from the time I confirm them. If you need more time than this, post a message in the OOC and I’ll give you a 24 hour extension. If you exceed the 48 hour cap time without asking for an extension, I will open the character slot back up and allow someone else to take it.

The Reverse Trap ~ Gabriel Sinclair played by Beta Type Jakuri
A young female student who has been masquerading as a boy the entire time she has been enrolled in Bloodworth Prep, her life has been fairly uneventful at the school, and other than one person, no one has yet to find out her secret. This year however, she is being assigned a roommate for the first time, and she’s rather worried about this fact. Much to her chagrin, she has a small following of loyal fangirls in the underclassmen grades, as well as something of a stalker. . . . She is slated to live with the Roommate this year, and her best friend is the Homosexual, who will now be rooming with the Best-Friend.

The Roommate ~ Devyn Ciarán O'Harris played by Abraxas
The boy who is moving into the Reverse Trap’s dorm this year, he’s popular and well-liked, and known among the student body. The fact he is now going to be living with the Reverse Trap will definitely turn his rather routine and normal school life upside down as awkward situations are inevitable. He is currently dating the Girlfriend, and is unaware of the fact that he is currently involved in a love triangle with her and the Best-Friend. If he knew about this, there’s no telling how he might react. He, of course, rooms with the Reverse Trap, and knows her stalker since the Crazed Fangirl is good friends with the Best-Friend and now rooming with the Girlfriend.

The Girlfriend ~ Alexis Martinez played by sweetgal
She is the most popular girl in school, every girl wants to be like her, and most guys want to date her. She comes off as being prissy and rude at times, but she does have a good heart, she possesses physical beauty, and a number of amazing skills that make her desirable, she is currently dating the Roommate, however she has been finding her heart skipping beats, and getting flustered while around The Best-Friend lately, and she’s not sure why. She also rooms with the Crazed-Fangirl, though already knows her thanks to her friendship with the Best-Friend.

The Best-Friend ~ Jerald Wyatt played by ThePsycoWarlock
This is the best friend to the Roommate, he’s kind of a leech in a way with how he tails after the Roommate, but he means well. He genuinely likes the Roommate for who he is and not just because he’s popular. He does have a secret though; he has had a crush on the Girlfriend for a long time, but for the sake of his friendship with the Roommate, he does not act on these feelings. Still though, when it comes down to it, he will act as a guardian and protect the Girlfriend with everything he has. He is also good friends with the Crazed Fangirl, and he rooms with the Homosexual, who is the Reverse-Trap’s best friend.

Extra Slots

The Homosexual ~ Darwyn Noél Johnson played by Winds of Fate
Growing up in a wealthy environment, the homosexual always got what he wanted, and it hasn’t changed. He always gets the guy he wants regardless of their orientation. He parties too much, he’s very popular and he’s an awesome friend, but he lives a dangerous lifestyle. He’s one way during the day and an entirely new person at night; he knows this and is trying to fix it. He doesn’t look down on others and treats others fairly. He has been friends with the Reverse Trap for many years, since middle school, and he knows her more than pretty much any else. The Homosexual is very talented. He is an actor and a musician, and his voice can rival that of any current superstar. He is often cast in leading roles in school plays and musicals. His favorite genre of music is pop, soul and r&b. He dresses rather effeminately, wearing knee high boots, though sometimes he wears sneakers. Contrary to popular belief, the homosexual has been mistaken for a female due to his soft voice and clothing. ~ written by Winds of Fate

The Artist ~ Jamar Somerled played by Alpha Type Shurelia
Not being the leader everyone expected from him because of his older brother, the Artist is typically ignored. He tends to hide in the back of the room when class is over and simply sketches. He tries to hide his sketches, because he draws people the way they are inside instead of out. People who have been drawn with all their ugliness tend to hate his work, because they want to be beautiful. The Artist is so good at reading people, he even picked up on the Reverse Trap's feminine ways and did a painting of her as such. He doesn't truly know that the Reverse Trap is a girl, but he can see that she is on the inside. Unlike everyone else for the moment, the Artist lives on his own. ~ written by Alpha Type Shurelia

The Crazed Fangirl ~ Ceridwen Nox played by Beta Type Jakuri
A young underclassmen girl who happens to have a very large crush on the Reverse Trap. . . . She’s hyper and crazy when it comes to her, though she is entirely unaware that the guy she’s crushing on is actually a girl. Whenever the Reverse Trap comes up, she loses it, and her obsession with ‘him’ has led other girls to mostly avoid being her friend, as a result she only has one good friend on campus, and this is the Best-Friend. He’s like a brother to her and he is the only person she’ll come out of her fangirl-states for, she’s aware of his feelings for the Girlfriend and is cheering him on, though she keeps his feelings a secret. She is going to be rooming with the Girlfriend this year, though they already know each other.

The Witch Doctor ~ Eden Apollo Haven played by LuckyNumber24
Though born with little money, The Witch Doctor has sure made a name for himself at Bloodworth. A practicing wiccan, he makes money from his fellow students by reading tarot and giving potions and spells to the more superstitious students at the school. Though he has plenty of customers, no one really tries to befriend him. He comes off as somewhat strange and quirky, but he has some mysterious quality about him that some people find attractive. He's an excellent writer and also a very good songwriter. Though his voice is rather good, it just doesn't seem to fit any of his recent songs. He's slightly interested in having the Homosexual sing one of them. When he first meets the Reverse Trap, he feels a more sensitive and feminine energy. ~ written by LuckyNumber24

1. Use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation please! No txt talk, and about posting length, while I'm not a freak about this, I ask that you please post about a paragraph? ^^;; I am not fond of one liners.

2. No godmodding! It's not fair.

3. I'll ask that you post a minimum of once every five days. If you are unable to post in this amount of time, I'll ask that you notify me via the OOC thread. If you do not post for this amount of time and you give no notification of this, I reserve the right to render your character into an NPC until such a time you return and are able to post.

Nothing personal here, I've just seen WAY too may roleplays die as a result of people going inactive for a while, one character stops acting and stuff, then others get stuck too because they were talking with the inactive character. . . .

When you return, I'll return full control of your character to you.

4. About romance, yeah, that's strongly encouraged here since it's one of the driving points of the roleplay. But, I ask that you keep materials and content about as clean as what you see on television, if things get hot and heavy and to the point I would want to barf, take it to the PMs and in your posts do a fade to black thing and resume activities in your post after the whole action is done.

5. Violence, considering this is a high school roleplay, I wouldn't be shocked to see a few schoolyard scrapes. I don't mind them, but let's all avoid turning this into a gory-horror thing, okay? XD

6. There is no set posting order; just no double posting!

~ Gabriel Sinclair

The ticking of a clock was the only distinct noise to be heard in the small bedroom, save the rather light breathing of one very much awake young woman who lay upon her bed in a small ball. A rather remote and forlorn look was etched upon her face, eyes showing a lazy glint as she thought numbly about what was going to be happening to her today. Today was the day where she lost any absolute sense of security she might have possessed regarding one rather large defining secret of hers. . . . Yep, today was the day that Gabriel Sinclair officially would find herself with a roommate who could totally blow the truth about her gender.

Here she was, fifteen years old, about to enter her third year at Bloodworth Prep, about to be a Junior, her secret having been kept rather safe and sound for the entirety of her time at the boarding school. She had worked so hard in keeping everyone from finding out that she was really, well, a she and not a he. And that effort paid off well enough considering there was only one person on campus who knew the truth about the fact that Gabriel was really a Gabrielle. Luckily enough though, that one person was nice enough to keep her secret, and even befriend her. He was the only person who knew, and the only person Gabriel was able to actually act like a girl around. Other than him though, no one knew about her secret, and that was the way Gabriel wanted to keep it. The life she led at Bloodworth Prep was a rather lax one, for the most part, and Gabriel liked that, she was happy with her lifestyle at the school, as lame as it might have been at times, it was still a nice life.

Other than getting bothered occasionally by that stalker of hers, Ceridwen, and having a few other incidents at the parties she was drug off to. . . . Everything was peaceful, and not so bad. It was a comfortable existence, the school itself, and the dorm Gabriel had lived in for the last two years had become something of a home for her since she had no other place to consider as such.

. . . .she had gotten lucky and gotten to live all by herself, not having to worry about a roommate who might discover her secret and rat her out to the principal, thus getting her expelled or something terrible. Nevertheless, that was changing today, and boy, did Gabriel both know and dread this.

That why she was still laying in bed past eight AM, staring at her clock in such a melancholy manner. Her amber eyes had not left it since she had woken up some time ago, her eyes having opened along with the rising sun, which shone brightly through the bedroom window. Gabriel wasn’t sure when her roommate was going to be showing up, all she knew for certain was that he would be arriving sometime that day. She didn’t even know who her new roomie was suppose to be; all she knew was that she was getting one who was NOT her best friend. No, he was getting a new roommate all his own this year as well.

Damn random influx of new students. . . .Gabriel mentally cursed, shutting her eyes as she sighed rather deeply into her knees, which were still drawn into her chest. I work my ass off for the last two years keeping my secret under wraps, and all of that effort might be wasted because too many people applied to come here. The blonde found herself pouting before her eyes went a little wide with realization, “And . . . it looks like I managed to make my first bad pun of the day!” she announced to the empty bedroom sarcastically. “’Under wraps,’ sheesh, could I have picked a worse choice of words? For heaven’s sake, two years of breast bindings and I still make jokes about my own situation without realizing it. . . .”

Rolling her eyes at her own self, the reverse-trap inhaled deeply and pushed her small body upward until she was sitting on her bed. Regardless of how she was feeling about everything, she needed to get her day started ASAP, sooner she had herself cleaned up and prepared to face the guy she was going to be rooming with for the next year at least, the better. It would mean less stress, less to worry over. Taking her time though, Gabriel was rather slow in lowering her feet to the carpeted floor below her, letting them sort of sink into it before standing up, and stretching herself out with a groan. Holding her arms above her blonde head of hers, she bent her torso one way, then the other, popping her spine whilst stretching out her tight muscles, trying to relax herself a bit. Maybe it would help.

After doing this, the teenager exhaled in a rather exasperated manner, letting her arms drop back to her sides limply. The T-shirt she slept in was far too big for her small body, the neck hole of the thing hung off to the side and off her right shoulder, exposing it while it hung onto her body much like a tunic, the end of the thing going passed her rear. Her sweatpants were little better, the garments far too large for her. They barely clung onto her form it seemed, and the bottoms of the legs pooled around her small feet. She hated baggy clothing so much . . . but what else could she do?

It’s either I go with the baggy clothing, or I get myself kicked out of here, and its back to living with Uncle Jake and Aunt Alice. she thought, lowering her eyelids a bit. Her aunt and uncle . . . related to her through her late father. Those whom she should have been living with now. The adults who should have been taking care of her by a means beyond just sending a monthly check. That was all they did for her, all they did was send her money every month, to make sure she lived and that they wouldn’t get in trouble. Since she had been dropped off at the entrance to Bloodworth Prep two years ago, Gabriel had not heard anything from either of the two. They never called her, or wrote her . . . the only reason she knew they were still alive was because of the money.

Silently, the blonde looked over to the currently vacant and empty half of the bedroom she inhabited, knowing that soon enough it would be junked up with a stranger’s things, someone who could ruin everything for her. Huffing, she tore her eyes away from it, casting her head downward as a bitter look took over her features. Her fist tightened up at her sides, This is so not fair. she thought, “I don’t want to have to go back to living with them . . . this place is my home, not, not there.” Gabriel sighed, before beginning to shuffle for the doorway, heading out into the main part of the dorm. She raised her head up and looked between the doorway to the bathroom, and the kitchen.

Blinking rather idly, Gabriel thought about what she was going to go ahead and do first, wash her face off or . . . eat breakfast? While she stood there, ruminating, the small girl’s stomach proceeded to make its emptiness known by audible means. Looking down silent at her middle, Gabriel decided that eating before doing anything else would be best. At least that way, she could worry and be bitter on a full stomach~!

Again, she sighed as she made her way for the fridge to drag the milk out of the cold. It was cereal today, like most every morning. While Gabriel went ahead and did what she normally did, she couldn’t help but finding her mind elsewhere, thinking about who her roommate was going to be . . . why had she not gone ahead and found out who it was?

She could have if she had just asked; all she had to do was go to the main office and ask to see. It wasn’t that hard! Gabriel merely shrugged at her own poor course of actions and choices there, and she could only assume that she had just been in so much shock, and so horrified at the thought of being forced to live with someone, that it never occurred to her until it was almost too late to find out. . . . Though, it really wouldn’t have mattered if she knew or not anyway, whomever she was assigned to live with was who she was stuck with. Simple as that; there were no changes to the living arrangements unless there was some extreme reason behind it, like the roommates fought constantly, among other things. . . . However, applying to have your roommate changed like that involved an investigation and all sorts of complicated matters that just delved too deeply into things.

No matter who I am made to live with this year, I have to do my best to get along with him, getting a transfer done would just be too risky. she sighed, dumping milk over a bowl of random off-brand cereal with some malformed marshmallows in it. There was going to be nowhere in the school where she could be at ease with her secret anymore. Hey, maybe if Gabriel was lucky, she would wind up with a rather oblivious roommate this year, someone who wasn’t exactly the most observant of fellows. That way, if she did happen to have a little slip up regarding her secret, it might just slip on by the guy’s head. He wouldn’t notice that anything was out of the ordinary. . . . That would be nice.

But then, Gabriel would have to have really good luck to have THAT happen, wouldn’t she? “Yeah right, as if my fortunes would go and do an about face all of a sudden.” She sighed, capping the milk as she finished soaking her cereal in it. After shutting the milk back into the fridge, and sticking a spoon in the cereal, Gabriel moved over to the table that was positioned next to the wall and dropped the bowl onto the surface of it. However, before she could sit down to eat in peace; there was a knocking on the front door.

Her amber eyes travelled over to it, and she simply stared for a moment before taking in a deep breath, doing her best to keep herself calm, knowing fully well who this probably was. Gabriel’s small shoulders dropped a bit, as she began taking yielding steps toward the door thinking, He’s here. as she set her hand upon the doorknob.

Shutting her eyes and sighing loudly, she turned the handle, and swung the door wide open saying, “Come in,” while stepping to the side.

~ Devyn O’Harris

Devyn let out a small sigh as he finished packing up what little things he had in his old room from the school year before. His old roommate was positioned in the main lobby of the dorm, already chatting up with his apparent replacement. Devyn, on the other hand, would be moving to a completely new room, in a completely new dorm, nearly all the way on the other side of the building. This year would be his third at the academy, and it would be his last, considering he would be finishing it off as a Senior this year. It wasn’t that he minded moving to a new room, he didn’t. He just thought the entire moving process was more of a bother than anything. Heck, he actually thought the idea of starting anew with some person he probably didn’t know, but knew him, would be fun.

And so, he set out, offering up only a small smile and one last wink to his previous roommate before heading out of the dorm and into one of the main halls of the academy. He knew the basic whereabouts of the dorm he was moving into, but that was it. The actual room had slipped his mind, and he wasn’t even sure he had yet to learn of whom his new roommate would be.

On that note… Devyn halted in his tracks for the moment, raising the hand that wasn’t pulling his things behind him and using it to push his glasses back up onto his face. He blinked as his eyes refocused and picked up stride again, mind wandering to think about what type of person he would be roomed with. He wasn’t entirely picky about the entire matter, nor did he have his hopes up for anything specific in the first place. It seemed that no matter whom he was faced with, they always walked away with a good opinion of him. Not that that was a bad thing, but Devyn had sort of always secretly longed for an ‘archenemy’ type. He longed for at least one person that hated him and would always try to thwart his ‘plans’ or something along the lines of that nonsense.

Was it a silly dream of his? Perhaps, but that didn’t make it any less of a dream. But those thoughts were broken by the scuffle of his shoe as he wrongly stepped and nearly tripped right over himself. If it were not for him subconsciously moving his suitcase in front of him and using the rubber brakes on the end of it to balance himself properly, he would of. And he recuperated, he raised his gaze to find that he was indeed not alone in the hall, and several other students had stopped in their tracks themselves, pausing only to witness this event.

Devyn only became slightly flustered, a light tinge of red identical in color to his hair taking upon his face. It didn’t take him long to recover from that even, as he put on a sense of bravado and went on to pretend like all of that was done completely intentionally, and there was no need to worry about it. Of course, with his reputation proceeding him, the false sense of bravery and showmanship was passed off fairly well, and the students went as far as to give him a sort of half-assed applause in showcase to the ‘stunt’ he had just pulled.

He simply continued his trek to his new dorm, offering a false smile and wave to those who were foolish enough to actually believe him. But it was all put away as he rounded the corner to find himself in an empty hallway, and a slight sigh of relief was let out before he gave a look at markings of each door. He could have swore that his new dorm was somewhere within the vicinity of this area. But as soon as that thought passed, his eyes found the door he was looking for.

“Ah.” A bemused smile set upon his lips after that word escaped and he promptly walked up to the door of the dorm, reaching a hand for the doorknob and stopping it in midair, forgetting that this was a completely foreign area to him, and it would be rude to just barge in. And so, he took a moment to compose himself, straightening his glasses once more and then running his hands along his jacket, making sure there were no creases. He wasn’t entirely out to impress whoever would answer the door upon his knocking, but it was still nice to at least look a little fancy upon meeting the person you’d be rooming with for an entire year.

After he had made sure that everything was fine looking, he took up the handle to his suitcase once more and used his free hands to rap at the door with two knuckles, letting three loud knocks ring out before his hand dropped to his side once more. A smile came to his face as he heard noise come from inside, and the doorknob began to rattle.

”Come in.”

The smile upon his face couldn’t have faded faster. First off, he was sort of disappointed at the site of the person greeting him at the door. They look like they had woken up not long ago, and they hadn’t even bothered to get dressed properly yet!

Devyn took a moment to run his eyes over the male, noting his smaller than usual frame and rather ambiguous face. He compared it to Sir John Tenniel’s drawing of the Caterpillar for Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. And how the caterpillar was seen from behind, sitting on a mushroom and smoking a hookah, whose head could be viewed as having a pointy nose and chin, or as the actual head of a caterpillar, and the aforementioned point nose and chin could also be the two appendages of the insect.

They had blonde hair, and it seemed to be the same length in both the front and back, from what Devyn could see. His eyes were an amber color, and startingly beautiful for a male’s, which made Devyn blink slightly in surprise. If he hadn’t known better, he would have thought this dorm was co-ed, and he would be rooming with a female. But he soon shook the idea of out of his head, also physically shaking his head. In the two years prior he had been attending the academy, he had never heard of co-ed dorms.

And the way this person had been dressed, in a long t-shirt and baggy sweat pants. It certainly screamed male, albeit, it also screamed lazy. But in the seconds it took for these thoughts to form, Devyn had already pulled another smile to his face and had given the boy who answered the door a friendly nod.

Stepping in, he quickly slid his suitcase against the wall and brought his arm behind him to close the door with a gentle push. He ran his eyes along the inside of the dorm, noting the fresh bowl of cereal upon a table pushed against the wall, and also noting how the layout of this one wasn't much different from his previous one, really, the only difference was the it was flipped. He observed the various doors, as well as the entrance to the kitchen and to the bathroom.

He reached down to grab the handle of his suitcase once more and wheeled it silently over to the table with the bowl of cereal on it, using his foot to send the suitcase laying flat against the floor and kicking it under the chair opposite of the one already drawn out. He turned back then, to look once more at the boy who had opened the door for him.

“Right, then. You must be none other than my new roommate. I’m Devyn. Devyn O’Harris. And you?”

There was heavy traces of an Irish accent laced in his words, and he pulled out the chair he was standing next, taking a seat and turning himself towards the male, a smile on his face.

~Alexis Martinez

Alexis' stood in the centre of her dorm, dressed in a navy blue dress stopping inches above her knees. The blue stretch fabric curved just at the right places defining her figure, with her perfectly manicured french-tipped fingers curving around her hips. It holds a short sleeved-bodice with a sailor collar with a white satin trim and two rows of button just across the front. Her hair in its natural wavy state falls beyond her shoulders complimented by the signature smile her lips have formed into. Taking a step toward her former roommate with stiletto heels, Alexis let her hand drop from her hip outstretching it "It was nice staying with you while it lasted" she said in a sickly sweet tone.

"Oh yes, the last 2 months have been amazing" Leigh, the other girl replied with the sarcastic one taking grasp of Alexis' hand lightly before letting it fall. Alexis was known not to have a roommate longer than 2-3 months. Reasons why, are simply hard to understand in fact they're practically irrational and irrelevant but with her money and status who wouldn't be able to convince the faculty to replace her roommate no matter what time it is in the semester. Gaining her own dorm had been difficult for Alexis, despite her many pleads and bribes to the headmaster. Apparently Bloodworth Prep needs the space, much to Alexis' disgust.

Alexis smirked giving Leigh the over look of her fashion choice for the day, disgust apparent on her face seeing the girl dressed in blue denim loose jeans, an plain white top with an orange cardigan. Quirking an eyebrow she looked up at Leigh "Well don't scare your new roommate" she commented. The banter that went on between the two was endless, and Alexis was actually quite glad she could get rid of her.

Leigh responded with a roll of her eyes, grabbing the plastic handle of her wheeled-suitcase and slinging her backpack over one shoulder, as she turned toward the door. "Oh let me" Alexis spoke out with that fake innocent tone again as she stepped in front of the other girl and a few more steps further reaching the handle of the door as she opened the door wide. Lifting the free hand she offered a wave and lop-sided smirk "Bye" she added on as Leigh walked out the door obviously not in a good mood.

Alexis closed the door behind her and shook her head slightly. She wasn't exactly mean, not to those she was fond of anyway. It was more of a wall she kept up to maintain her position and status in the school. It kept most people out of her way, except for those she let in. Glancing around the room, she smiled genuinely at the sight of her belongings in its allocated places. Leigh had made the room a pit while packing away, and no doubt Alexis was muttering curses keeping her own things in place while her former roommate packed.

Taking a few strides forward, Alexis approached a tucked in chair. Pulling out she took a seat crossing her right leg over the left and resting her hands on her lap, keeping a maintained posture despite the fact of no one being around, it was just the way she was.

The silence surrounded the room, bringing peace to Alexis. Hardly ever did she get moments like this, and in fact she quite liked being relaxed not having to live up to the image everyone had of her and having to be aware of her appearance every single minute. Her thoughts first drifted to her holiday over the summer, bringing a smile to her face. It was the summer when her family actually decided to act like a family and spend some time somewhere abroad to try some 'bonding' time, though that wasn't always the case. Her father would normally have some business motive behind it, her mother just enjoyed the time off working and managing the family business with her father, and her brothers were always out and about doing something adventurous. This time it was Milan, the fashion central and of-course Alexis was out shopping most of the time increasing her closet space by quite a large amount.

After reliving the moments from the summer she thought about her new roommate, glancing at the crystalized watch across her slender wrist she shook her head not exactly wanting to be waiting too long. Alexis had people to meet, things to do etc. etc. Coming back to the point about roommates, Alexis had her fair share amount of expectations, well 'fair share' may be an understatement but everyone knew rooming with the school's most popular girl wasn't going to be an easy challenge.

Her thoughts soon drifted to Devyn, her lips forming into a smile once more at the thought of her boyfriend. She suspected he would be with his new roommate now, or either moving out of his dorm. She had heard that he had to move out this year, and to be honest she didn't think he would have any problems with settling in. Devyn was known for his nice nature, which was somewhat a contradiction to Alexis' personality. For the outside world it leaned more to being stuck-up, mean, and bitter but for those who knew her it was quite a bit different from that. Alexis decided she would meet up with him later, after he settled in his dorm and she actually met her new roommate who was in Alexis' mind increasingly late by the minute.

The next person on her mind was... *knock*. Alexis blinked a few times, as she stood up abruptly wondering who it could be. The first thought that came to mind was her new roommate. Straightening her clothes out as she made her way toward the door, she gave herself a glance in the mirror she had placed on the wall next to the door. Pleased with her appearance, she grabbed hold of the handle and slowly opened the door to see one of her 'friends' if you could call them that with Alexis' daily sugar-free coffee.

Alexis put on a fake smile, slightly annoyed to see it wasn't her roommate but nonetheless glad that she was getting her coffee. "Sorry I'm late Lex" the girl squeaked, as Alexis' eyes wandered down to her watch, smirking to see it was only late by approximately a minute. "Right thanks, you should get back to your dorm now" Alexis replied her slender fingers wrapped around the warm plastic cup containing the coffee. The girl seemed to be extremely pleased "Oh yes, I should meet my new roommate" she replied with a wide green. Alexis gave a small nod "Well.. Bye then" she said quickly before closing the door swiftly.

Hearing the sounds of shuffled footsteps, Alexis figured the girl had left the door after the quick dismissal. With a quick roll of her eyes, Alexis wrapped both hands around the cup taking her place back in the empty chair adapting her former pose with the right leg over the left. Coffee was a normal routine for her, despite seeing the warm weather Alexis had developed a habit of getting coffee every morning at approximately the same time.

Pulling the cup to reach her glossed lips, she took a small sip of the coffee letting the warmth slowly spread through her body as she continued to wait for the arrival of her new roommate. Don't people realize the value of time.. she thought to herself, while sipping through her coffee tapping her left ring finger on the cup in a timed rhythm. This 'roommate' she still hadn't met wasn't creating a good impression on her so far.

~Darwyn Noél Johnson~

This was it, his Senior year, the year he would graduate and leave all the drama of high school behind. The thought made him smile as he went about his daily routines. Being President of the Drama Club since his freshman year, as well as Vice President of Student Council throughout his high school years has been quite beneficial to him. Darwyn knew just about every student at Bloodworth Prep, all except the new freshman who he shied away from, as well as the new registers. Not because he was being mean, or anything like that, but because he had found it quite odd that most freshman were drama magnets. They argued and fought more than any other grade level in Bloodworth Prep. Rumors and gossip followed the new registers, and Darwyn was always filled in on the gossip and rumors of Bloodworth Prep, even if he didn’t participate in spreading the gossip. He was a Senior now, and he showed himself friendly to all at Bloodworth Prep.

Unlike some, Darwyn didn’t have to worry about money, for his parents kept his bank account filled to the brim. Yes, he was a rich kid, but he didn’t show it, nor did he act as if he were above anyone. He often times wished he hadn’t opted to keep a debit card, because he could hardly keep up with the darn thing. Luckily this morning, as he got out of the shower, he was reminded that it was in his dresser drawer. Sighing, he got dressed in some gray skinny jeans, a knee high pair of converse shoes, and a cute button up shirt that was plaid, and was pink and gray. His earrings were pink hoops, and his bracelets matched the rest of his outfit. As he looked in the mirror, he winked and grabbed his keys and wallet, sliding the debit card into the folds of the wallet securely.

He was headed to his best friend’s room. Gabbie was the first girl he met upon arriving at Bloodworth Prep. Funny thing was, when he met her, she was pretending to be a guy. Of course he saw right through her disguise, but after he called her out on it, the two had become nearly inseparable. She was like a sister he never had. Yesterday, she had informed him that she would be getting a roommate this year. At first, Darwyn protested and had informed her that he’d talk to the Principal, even threatening to go over the Principal’s head in order to get her to keep from sharing a room, but she had informed him not to. Darwyn was worried that the roommate would find out about Gabbie’s secret. Sighing, he looked back at his particular room. He was supposed to be getting a roommate as well.

“I hope he’s cute, and flirtatious,” Darwyn stated as he stood in front of the mirror still checking himself out, “damn I look good.”

After a few more moments of conceited behavior, Darwyn left his room and entered into the kitchen. He was actually kind of excited to see his roommate, even though he knew that there was bound to be some sort of tension between them. His dormitory was rather unique. There was a living area, a kitchen, and then two rooms that surprisingly didn’t have doors. He figured it was a way for the school to get roommates to mingle with one another. The bathroom was located in between the two bedrooms. It was a full size bathroom, one that Darwyn had customized for so long that he had forgotten how it originally looked. Even the living area had been decorated by Darwyn, yet he had never touched the other room. He sat in the living area and turned on the 40” flat screen television set that he had purchased. He wasn’t the type to restrict anyone from using his stuff. The fridge was filled with any item you could imagine. Sighing he looked over at the clock. It was 8:30 already. That meant that Gabbie was probably awake and had probably already met her roommate. He still had not met his own, but he figured he’d run into him eventually.

“I wonder where this guy is.”

Darwyn grabbed his belongings and his mini backpack that he called his “purse” and exited his dormitory. The mini backpack was filled with whatever one could imagine. His wallet was often in it, along with his money and other things. He left a note on the table that read,

“Hi roomie,

I’m sorry I missed you, but I need to go check on my friend. I hope you make yourself at home, help yourself to anything in the kitchen and I hope to see you soon.

Much Love,

Darwyn J.”

The note was written on beautifully decorated station paper that was probably worth less than Darwyn had paid for it. Now on his walk to Gabbie’s dorm, he couldn’t help but smile. He was going to have so much fun this senior year. The thought of the amount of partying he was going to do was titillating to him. He was enjoying the weather; it was rather sunny and warm. Not too hot and not too cold, but just right. He passed some associates he hung out with every now and then. They waved and spoke to him and he returned the friendly acts. The only thing that sucked about Gabbie’s dorm was the fact that it was way across campus, which meant that the trek to her dorm would take a while. He’d strut his stuff across campus and enjoy the weather, and think about the cutie he had befriended a year ago. Eden was his name; a hot Wiccan who could have all of Darwyn if only he asked. The two befriended each other when Darwyn saw him his Junior year. Darwyn initiated the conversation and flirted with him a bit. He had went to Eden to see what his future held, though he couldn’t for the life of him figure out what Eden had told him that day. Had the two dated? No, not yet at least, but Darwyn was hopeful.

~ Gabriel Sinclair

Oh . . . God had to just be kidding her with this one, right? Of all the guys at Bloodworth Prep to be assigned as her roommate this year, she had to wind up with one who was arguably the most well known on campus?! Seriously?

Despite the horrified feeling gnawing away at her stomach, Gabriel just stood as she had upon opening the door, to the side, hand still placed upon the doorknob, yet a genuine look of surprise laced her androgynous features. She didn’t look aghast to see who her roommate was, no, she just looked . . . stunned. Her amber eyes were wide, and her mouth was simply shut, though some of the color had faded from her complexion, leaving the teenager looking a tad on the pallor side. Even if her physical appearance did not do justice to how it was she was feeling on the inside, rest assured that Gabriel certainly was finding herself feeling a bit sick. It had been bad enough to find out that she had to room with someone this year, meaning being extra cautious on top of how careful she was to begin with. . . . But this, this was just a cruel joke.

Feeling her heart sink into her stomach, the full weight of the reality at hand settled in upon Gabriel’s shoulders as she came to understand just whom her roommate was, and how it made things all the more worse for her. She blinked, maintaining the same expression of surprise upon her features. Devyn O’Harris . . . of the four-hundred plus male students enrolled in Bloodworth Prep, my assigned roommate turned out to be Devyn O’Harris. she thought to herself, Oh God, could this scenario possibly play out any worse than this?! Gabriel thought, nearly letting out a whimper of protest. Okay, so she had expected the situation to be bad, all things considered, but the fact that she was getting stuck with Devyn O’Harris . . . that just made things really, really bad!

Everyone in Bloodworth Prep knew who he was, literally, everyone. That meant that soon enough, people would know Gabriel was rooming with him, and potentially, that could draw unwanted attention to her. As if she didn’t already have enough of that problem considering the fact that she was often attending those wild parties Noél insisted on going to. . . . So, how much did this raise the level of risk regarding her secret becoming exposed? Well, considering that Math was Gabriel’s weakest subject, the girl could only answer that this raised the stakes by a lot.

. . . .also, Devyn was just staring at her, an expression of what seemed to be disappointment on his face for some reason. Gabriel took in a rather deep inhale of air, doing so quietly, as she did her damn best to regain her composure. Yes, she was inwardly freaking out and cursing Lady Luck for all she was worth for cursing her as she had, but she couldn’t show that. She had to remain calm, act like this was no big deal, and not show that she was actually pretty peeved about all of this, as well as just horror-struck. No, that would just make things worse; it would make her look rather suspicious. Even more than her rather genderless face, and her rather diminutive frame and build did.

Yet still, Devyn just looked over her, as if he was uncertain of what to make of her. Oh God, don’t tell me he’s already suspecting something’s off? she thought, heart nearly leaping into her throat at the very notion of it. But, what if he was starting to think that? Would Gabriel have to up her game then? Make a rather blatant effort to play the part of a believable teenage boy? I don’t want to have to change how I act, I already can’t act like a girl, except for around Noél. . . . Honestly, even if Gabriel did know Devyn by name and appearance, also by the fact that he was as popular as the school’s nickname, she didn’t exactly know too much about him. So, she found herself hoping that he was just someone who liked examining people’s physical appearance intently upon their first meeting.

It was only a few seconds, that short time frame had been enough to make Gabriel fear for everything she had worked for the in the last two year. Even if she had been nearly lost in her own skull, her own worries, she didn’t fail to notice the fact that the genuine expression of disappointment/surprise upon Devyn’s had quickly given way to an expression that did little to impress her. He was back to smiling, shaking his head for whatever reason, that grin though. . . .

Her composure returned to her enough, Gabriel looked at her new roommate with a serious expression, that smile left her with a slightly sick feeling in her stomach. Not enough to be severe or anything of the sort, but, it didn’t sit right with her. Two years of playing the role of a guy ought to leave me with some level of knowing when it comes to facades. she thought, backing into the living space of the dorm as Devyn moved to come inside. He’d given her a friendly enough nod, but still . . . the reverse trap just regarded him as she had before.

The expression on her face was less than pleasant, and she found herself on the verge of rolling her eyes. Great, so, he was an actor was he? Just what she felt like putting up with on top of everything else! Mr. Popular put on a ruse in order to make sure people liked him. Even if her attitude and thoughts were like a pot calling a kettle black, Gabriel at least was honest about how she was feeling, despite the fact she had to pretend to be a boy, her sentiments regarding situations and people were genuine and truthful, she never put on an act to make others like her.

Gabriel watched her new roomie observe his surroundings after he shut the door and came inside. Well, her first impression of him was officially made; and it was a negative one. Whatever he thought of her, she didn’t know, and she found herself becoming rather apathetic to it. While there was an innate fear of him suspecting something was off about her, there was also the fact that his practiced, overly-pleasant smile had more or less gone and gotten her a bit irked. It annoyed her, it really annoyed her to see people pretending to be as something they were not. That was something that had always gotten Gabriel, for a long time. Maybe it was something that stemmed from the fact that her mother had stuck around for something she didn’t want for nine years, or maybe it was something else . . . but the fact remained that people who played the part of something they were not, those were the people who made her upset.

Great, this is just great. . . . Things did get worse, just when she thought they couldn’t. While Devyn went about seating himself at the table placed up against the wall that divided the kitchen from the rest of the living room, Gabriel merely stood where she was, thinking bitter thoughts about her situation.

“Right, then. You must be none other than my new roommate. I’m Devyn. Devyn O’Harris. And you?” Upon hearing him address her, Gabriel exhaled and relaxed her body; she couldn’t come off as completely unpleasant toward him could she now? Even if this sort of thing went against what she believed. . . . Not acting true to how she was actually feeling was something she loathed even the thought of, but she stuck rooming with Devyn for the next year, and if she was not careful around him, he could find out her secret . . . and everything would be ruined for her.

So, even if the fact that he used a facade around others got to Gabriel . . . she was just going to have to push passed that, and ignore it. Nothing is as ever simple as it might seem, you know that for a very solid fact. she chided herself, sighing as her shoulders dropped a bit. Okay, first impressions aside, as well as her own musings and bitter sentiments regarding things Devyn couldn’t control, she had to give him a chance. Gabriel knew she couldn’t be shallow and a jerk to him based on two minutes of presumptions, among other things. As long as I’m careful about my secret, really careful, there shouldn’t be a problem between him and I . . . as long as that ruse of his lets down.

A rather passive look overtook Gabriel’s face, her amber eyes having gone docile, she gazed at Devyn, “I know well enough whom you are.” She started, her voice rather sounding rather dull, bored. “I’d be a fool not to. . . .” Gabriel sighed melodramatically while she waved her hand, “Anyway, I’m Gabriel Sinclair, and yes, we’re to be roommates for the next year.”

Placing a hand on her hip, Gabriel shrugged, “Whether you know anything about me or not, I don’t care. You can think of me what you want to. I’m easy-going enough as far as living arrangements go, as long as we mind each others’ boundaries and such, there shouldn’t be a problem, also, if you haven’t gone ahead and eaten, go ahead and raid the kitchen if you feel like it, or watch TV. . . .” She sighed, beginning to head back to the bedroom, leaving Devyn sitting where he was, along with her cereal. I’ll clean it up soon enough, frankly, I’ve lost any trace of an appetite I had. She was just going to just go ahead and wash her face, as well as get dressed . . . eating was something she could worry about later when she didn’t feel so very uneasy and apathetic.

~ Ceridwen Nox

Late, late, late!! She was so late this morning, wasn’t she?! Carrying with her everything her tiny body could lug, a high-strung Ceridwen Nox darted through the hallways of the girl’s dormitory building. Oh, how she hated being late for ANYTHING! Well, this time it wasn’t her fault . . . she could blame her lateness on her dear old dad for getting her rear to the campus two hours after she wanted to have already shown up and said hello to the girl who was suppose to be her roommate for the next year. It had been the middle of term break when the letter had arrived; the notification of her room assignment being changed. The piece of paper had merely let Ceridwen and her father know that she would be changing her living arrangements, and to which room she was going to be stuck in for the next year, but it didn’t tell her whom she was going to be living with. . . .

Well . . . she sort of looked at that as being a surprise! Even if it was a little scary, not knowing whom she was spending the next year with, Ceridwen viewed it as a pleasant thing. It was a mystery~ Something fun to find out! Even thinking about it like this caused the teenager to smile, and giggle a little bit with happiness. How wonderful it would have been if there had been some major mix up in the housing office, and she and Gabriel wound up rooming together thanks to it . . . not~ Silly sounding, right? Ceridwen Nox was head over heels in love with a certain Gabriel Sinclair, she had been since near the beginning of last year, yet the idea of possibly living with him thanks to some freak mix-up was not something that actually appealed to the fangirl.

Nope, nope, it didn’t. Before anything like that happened, she wanted Gabriel to love her with his whole heart. And this was the year she swore that would happen. . . . Last year, her attempts to win his heart had been timid at first, frightful and uncertain. So much so that they had failed. That was when she was fourteen, and still a freshman.

Rounding a corner, Ceridwen’s green, frog-printed rubber rain boots squeaked rather loudly, while her wheel-bearing suitcase nearly tipped over from the sudden directional shift. Like always, Ceridwen was a remarkable sight in terms of her clothing; bright and notable. Along with the frog-printed boots, the small girl was wearing black leggings that ducked into the boots, a pair of denim shorts upon her legs, and a bright green tee shirt while she had her strangely colored hair tucked back into the usual braid. There was nothing else to be expected of the child, in terms of her hair and clothing. . . . A silly smile was still plastered onto her youthful face, her thoughts drifting to many places. To her new roommate, to Gabriel and also to her one real friend. . . .

Oh~ After she was through making an impression upon her new living mate, and getting her things set up, Ceridwen was so going to go say hello to him. It’d been over a month since she had seen him, and she just had to show him how she had grown! She’d turned fifteen, and, in her own head that is, had officially become a woman! The teenager was certain she had changed massively in the short time she had been away from Bloodworth Prep.

On her birthday, Ceridwen had vowed a few things about the coming school year . . . one, she was not going to be so ‘shy’ when it came to getting Gabriel to love her. Two had to do with the stunt she had pulled the previous year regarding the bastards who had been taking advantage of innocent underclassmen girls, well, it had to do with the title she had earned from her actions. Ceridwen swore that the whole of campus would know she was a ninja, someone who would protect the innocent from the guilty.

. . . .first though, she needed to actually get to her dorm to see her roomie! Her lavender eyes kept darting to the numbers placed on plaques next to the doors in the dormitory, each time it turned out to be the one she wasn’t looking for, a ‘Nope’ ran through the fangirl’s head. Finally though, when she did find the one she was looking for, Ceridwen literally skidded to a halt in front of it, maintaining a rather airheaded smile upon her face, she simply stood there for a moment, looking at the door before she fidgeted a bit where she stood and quietly squealed to herself at getting to meet who she would be living with~ Meeting new people was fun.

Time for Rii to meet her new roommate~ Ceridwen thought to herself, adjusting the bags she was carrying so the handles were around her wrist so she could open the door. Her small hand latched onto the doorknob like a leech, and without bothering to knock, Ceridwen quickly opened the door, and shouted, “Rii is sorry she is late! But she’s here now and ready to say hello to her new-!” Upon actually looking into the room however, the girl stopped talking, but did not lose that silly grin on her face. She simply remained still, and quiet for a moment as her gaze fell upon who it was she would be living with for the next year.

It was someone she already knew, huh, what were the chances? Well, Rii will be a monkey’s auntie, she never would have guessed that she’d wind up rooming with his crush of all the women here at Bloodworth Prep! she thought with a giggle, letting go of the doorknob as she went ahead and pulled herself into the dorm, her bags all in tow. “Hiya Alexis~ Who’d of thunk it, you and Rii being roomies this year, that is?”

Yes, Ceridwen Nox, the sophomore whom was reputed to be one of the most hyperactive things on campus . . . knew the most popular girl in the school. She knew Alexis Martinez, and actually liked her quite a bit, despite some of the girl’s tendencies. “This ought to be a fun year for both you and Rii!” Ceridwen announced with a happy laugh.

~Alexis Martinez

Alexis sipped through her coffee slowly, her back slightly to the dorm door. She kept both her hands around the warm cup, with her gazed fixed ahead on to the cream walls of the room. She quite liked how the room was set to be more sophisticated and perfectly organized, in fact Alexis hated the thought of having yet another roommate who wasn't fond of the simple tones used in the room and keeping it organized. She hated the use of too bright colors be it for furniture, walls or even clothing. Alexis is more likely to be found wearing darker colors with the occasional glimpse of a lighter color to contrast with her clothing.

Thoughts of new styles went through her head as she brought the coffee cup to her lips once more, being careful not to take a large gulp knowing the bad effects of it and the last thing she wanted was a swollen or burnt tongue on the first day back to school or in fact whatever day it was Alexis didn't seem fond of being less that immaculate. With that thought she stood up placing the coffee cup lightly on the table nearest to her. She took a few steps back toward the full length mirror looking over her appearance one more. Her roommate could walk in any time, and she wanted to be making the best impression.

With the reminder of her new roommate Alexis scoffed, Best impression.. right she thought to herself. She hadn't expected someone not to arrive on time, but then again there could be all sorts of reasons why she wasn't here. If Alexis was lucky enough, her roommate might not even be arriving till a few weeks having an extended holiday or she might even not end up with one. A small smirk resided on Alexis' face with the last idea...

Just as she turned on the heel of her stilettos, there was a rattle from the doorknob causing Alexis to frown a little. With the door opening, she stepped back instantly her slender fingers moving back into position on her hip as her eyes fell to the floor spotting the bags around the girl's hands. Alexis scanned her from the bottom to the top taking in her appearance with a raised eyebrow. Just as soon as her eyes met the other girls.. now her new roommate she blinked a few times knowing she remembered the girl from somewhere.

Alexis eyed the frog-patterned boots first, wondering why on earth she would wear something like that, then as she continued to notice she raised an eyebrow at the denim shorts upon the black leggings then shook her head slightly at the girl's bright green top. The colors may be striking in some manner, maybe not too much but it still wasn't something Alexis looked on with appreciation. Then again Alexis wasn't going to utter a word about this girl to her.. just yet.

The large voice coming from the girls mouth made Alexis flinch a little as she dropped her hands smoothening out her dress more toward the bottom before glancing up. Noticing the hyper manner and wide grin on the girl's face reminded her that her new roommate was no other than Ceridwen Nox, or as she liked to call herself 'Rii' or as she had heard from others 'The Ninja of Bloodworth Prep' the story behind that seemed irrelevant to Alexis now.

Alexis knowing this energetic woman may come off as a surprise but she knew Ceridwen anyway and that too only through Elijah, who was apparently best friends with this girl. Alexis put on a polite smile before turning her back to the girl to slowly walk back to the table she had propped the coffee on. Letting the warmth spread across her hands once more, she turned back to face the other girl in the room as she took another sip of the coffee her eyes watching the girl carefully.

The words leaving Rii's mouth made Alexis smile a little as she put the coffee cup down. She wasn't too harsh and mean to the people she knew, but at the same time she wasn't exactly the most loving and nicest person to them either except for a few exceptions. "Well it's quite a surprise an underclassmen and a senior rooming together.. but I'm not complaining" she replied, using the 1st person tense. Alexis did seem to find the whole speaking in 3rd person quite obscure then again it was something different, and who didn't want to be unique?

Passing one of her charming smiles, Alexis held her coffee cup with one hand and pointed toward the door "Mind closing that?" she asked in a sweet tone, more genuine than she did with her former roommate. She had noticed the bags in the girls hand, but walking that length didn't seem necessary to Alexis and that too why when there was someone closer to it than her.

The last comment to leave Rii's mouth followed by laugh, made Alexis shrug a little "We'll have to see about that" she replied with a more diplomatic answer rather than anything else. Someone as hyper as Rii, and someone who prefers tranquil and elegant style like Alexis didn't seem to be a perfect match but Alexis knew Ceridwen quite a bit through Elijah, so she was willing to try at least. Maybe she could finally keep a roommate longer than just a few months.

~ Eden Apollo Haven

Eden woke up to Nicki Minaj's verse in the song monster. He thought for a moment why some people hated the rapper so much. She was awesome in Eden's eyes. But due to the amount of sleep he got from the night before, he decided not to think about it as he got ready.

He was very tired this morning. He had given several girls readings the night before, resulting in him going to bed at 12:30.
Eden quickly dressed, mentally giving himself a pep talk for the task ahead. He looked into a mirror sitting on his dresser and stared himself in his almond eyes. "You're going to do it today. You're going to ask him out. You're not chickening out of this."

Eden had been smitten with a specific guy since he befriended him the previous year. Eden had kept thinking about him and his amazing voice.
Eden grabbed his lighter with the symbol for fire on it and a short red candle. He said a little prayer to the Angel of Love and lit the wick. Then he grabbed a red bag full of dried rose petals that he used for love spells. He took one out and kissed it, then put it in his pocket. He blew out the candle, grabbed his backpack, then moved out for the mission.

'When you see him, you are going to ask him out.' Eden was confident, until he saw him. 'Crap.'
Eden ran up to him with a big smile on his face. "Hey Dee (A personal nickname for his crush) how are you on this fine morning??"
'Do it. Just Do it.'

"Dee, I was wondering if ummm..."
'Do it.'

"You know if you weren't busy tonight..."
'Come on.'

"Only if you'd want to..."
'You're killing me.'

Then it came up like word vomit.
"If you want to record a song that I wrote."
'Uh oh.'

~Darwyn Noél Johnson~

As the wind blew through his hair, and the birds chirped in the distance, Darwyn continued to walk towards his best friend’s dorm. The sun was at just the right angle as its rays bathed Darwyn with warmth. There weren’t many students walking on campus, most would probably arrive tomorrow or the day classes started, but it didn’t bother Darwyn, he often enjoyed the silence. As he walked along the path that led to Gabbie’s dorm, he couldn’t help but hear footsteps approaching him from behind. By the sound of the steps, they were approaching fast. Darwyn quickly turned around to see Eden Haven running towards him with a big smile on his face. He was so cute, and Darwyn couldn’t help but flirt with him every time they saw each other. He was about to open his mouth to speak, but Eden had already started talking.

"Hey Dee, how are you on this fine morning?" He began, "Dee, I was wondering if ummm…..You know if you weren't busy tonight...........Only if you'd want to……..."

Eden paused, and Darwyn simple stared at the young man with a smile on his face as well. He stood there, fingers crossed in front of him, bag freely hanging on his left shoulder as he waited for Eden to finish. It shocked Darwyn to see Eden struggle. Darwyn would’ve thought that Eden was more confident than what he was showing at the moment. Darwyn thought it was rather cute.

"……..If you want to record a song that I wrote."

The words came out of Eden’s mouth like a rushing wave. Darwyn stood there for a moment pondering his reply and smiled as he knew making Eden wait for an answer would probably drive the poor guy up a wall.

“I’d love to record a song with you. Since you’re free tonight, you wanna make it a date? I’m thinking dinner and a movie. Are you down?”

This was Darwyn’s chance and he wasn’t going to let it slip through his fingers. He was going to lay it on the table and let Eden decide. He was going to see if his thoughts were right. He had a feeling that Eden shared the same feelings towards him that he did towards Eden and if thing worked out, they’d be dating soon. This excited him. He loved Gabbie to death and could talk to her about anything, but if he had a boyfriend, he’d be able to discuss all there was about any and everything. He hoped Eden didn’t think he was coming on too strong, but the thought of going on a date with Eden was too good to pass up.

~Jerald Wyatt

Jerald had woken up late, as usual. Staying up late reading an old volume of Captain Plutonium or listening to music or even just lying there and waiting the night away. He always had some reason to stay up at night. He wasn't much of a day person to begin with and he didn't plan on changing that anytime soon. Forcing one eye open, he caught sight of the digital clock by his bed - soon to be his old bed - and jumped out of bed, heart racing as he realize he was suppose to move to his new dorm today. With another roommate.

Recent history with Jerald's roomies had been bad to say the least. Almost all of them hated him, most of them had some weird quirk to them and the one he was only now dropping practically lived on the small couch they 'shared'. He was in and out of the shower, just barely enough time to get wet, and threw on a faded pair of jeans, a black t-shirt, orange and red jacket and his signature orange and dark red hoodie. Shoving all his valuable into a shoulder backpack, he ran out of his room and into the kitchen, kicking the fridge open and grabbing the sandwich he'd thrown together the night before and only half finished.

"Bye," he muttered to whats-his-face on the couch as he rushed out the door, slamming the door behind him with his foot as he ran off into the campus. As he ran, he nibbles on his sandwich and pulled a scrap of paper from his and read it. Much to his disgust, it was all the way on the other side of the campus. Just his luck. Crumbling up the note, he threw it aside and shoved the rest of the sandwich into his maw as he began focusing on what was in front of him. Namely, a line of bushes. With a short huff, he hopped up and cleared them with ease, though the two kids on the other side were in for a big scare as he went rushing by.

Jerald was panting heavily by the time he reached his new dorm's address. He reached up and wiped his brow as he made a mental check that he ran all the way to the right place. The signs were as clear as day and he found his way to the room with few problems. Without so much as a knock, he threw the door open and barged right in. "Hello?!" he shouted, looking around his new lodgings. He stopped dead in his tracks when he realized something very off: this place was -very- decorated. Looks like I'm stuck with another rich snob he thought as he poked his head around the rooms, a chuckle escaping his lips when he saw the monster bathtub.

After a few minutes of looking around and a messy job of unpacking, Jerald noticed an ungodly buoyant piece of paper sitting in the living room. Picking it up, he looked it over and read aloud, "Hi roomie, sorry I missed you, blah blah blah, help yourself to anything in the kitchen, hope to see you soon. Much love? Darwyn J?!" As he read the signature, he felt his heart sink into his stomach.

Jerald didn't know about Darwyn besides he was Ceri's flamboyant gay friend who attended Bloodworth. She'd never said anything about him and he sounded like a nice enough guy, but that didn't stop Jerald from worrying for his sanity. It wasn't the gay thing, he was totally fine with that. But when he looked the dorm, everything spotlessly clean, then back to his room which already looked like a mess. He began praying that his new roommate wasn't too picky.

Sighing heavy, he decided to do what he could of an odd situation as he made his way to the kitchen. "Well, he did give a free invite of the kitchen," he said as he threw the fridge open and grabbed a jug of milk. "Hope I don't make him regret it." He popped the cap off with his thumb and took a big swig straight from the jug before wiping off his milk mustache with the back of his sleeve. As he put the milk back in the fridge, his mind wandered to his best friend and how his move must have gone. Out of things to do and too impatient to just wait for his roomie to come back, he rushed back to his room and pulled his cell out of his backpack, quickly hitting the 'Contacts' button and scrolling down to Devyn and hitting the call button.

~ Eden Haven

Eden was preparing himself to be crushed. 'It's becuase you don't know how to ask for stuff. And you think everyone is going to pick on you.God what's wrong with you!?'
The young man waited patiently for his crush to respond. On the oustside he was patient and calm, but on the inside he was squirming for an answer.
"I’d love to record a song with you. Since you’re free tonight, you wanna make it a date? I’m thinking dinner and a movie. Are you down?"

It took Eden a moment to realize that Dee had answered him. Not only that but he actually accepted him.
And Dee turned it into a date, which was Eden's actual goal.

Eden smiled and his heart pretty much jumped out of his chest in excitment. "Really, that's great."
He took a second to mentally pat himself on the back. "So, any thoughts on what movie we should see? I'm thinking scary."
He smiled, gazing over Dee's brown hair and bronze skin.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Well, I hope to see you around here as well. I'm on here most every day, and always looking at roleplays or working on my own. So, there is always a good chance we might wind up in another roleplay together.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Alright my dear. Hope to see you around RPG..............who knows, we may end up in another RP together........

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

I'm sorry, but I don't think I want to pick this back up. . . .

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Let me think on it tonight . . . and make a choice tomorrow. I already committed myself to another couple of roleplays in the absence of this and well, I sort of need to think through it and see if I can juggle everything I'm in first.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Yes, you did post 5 days ago....................If you want Beta, we can keep this going. I'm sure everyone will begin posting again. I can post right now if you want me to.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

I'm sorry this died...but I did post a few days ago.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

It's like I'm waiting on Lucky to post, but they never did....................It's not your fault Beta....

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Umm. . . . *sighs* - -;; Maybe I should just call this thing failed, sorry everyone. . . . Really, I am.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Marvelous, I await your post LN24 :)

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Ok. I won't be able to post tonight or tomorrow, but I will be back on Sunday/Monday with a post.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Submitted! Roughly a day to put it together ( not straight of course ) but effort is always appreciated! ^ ^

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

*jumps up and down* Marvelous, someone to fill the Best Friend slot............. :D you can't see it but I'm grinning from ear to ear right now, lol.....

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

@ThePsychoWarlock The slot has not been filled, and the slot is reserved for you. ^^ Thank you~

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Hope nobody has beat me to the punch. I'd like to reserve the Best Friend role while that's not yet filled. ^ ^

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Shouldn't be a problem, I usually spend several hours of my day straight just chatting with Beta on IM, so if it should come to me being absent, she'll hear of it more than likely.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Thank you all for informing Beta and I on the situations at hand. I understand if something in your life comes up that prohibits posting, as I've had it happen countless times, but most of the time I always inform the GM of the RP that I'm not going to be able to post. I understand if something happens so quickly that you don't have time to inform the GM of your absence, but at least inform us ASAP whether or not you'll be able to post instead of having us wait, and wait, and wait.

Now then, now that that is out of the way. I look forward to reading everyone's posts, and I will have my own post up tomorrow, as I've got Sociology work to complete, as well as some College Algebra work to finish..... :)

I would also like to say, that I loved all of the posts so far. I just got finished reading Lucky's post, and Eden is just so adorable, giving Darwyn a nickname, lol :)

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

-yawns- I've spent the past days sitting at a hospitable bedside, so I apologize for my delay in posting and internet usage. I should be able to find the time now, excluding this upcoming Thursday. I have a funeral to attend to, so I will not be able to get on.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

I am so sorry that I took so long to reply. I understand that it was very rude of me not to inform you guys that I'd be delayed and I hope that this roleplay will not die now that I have posted. I know that I should have posted as soon as I could and I'm very sorry.

Re: [OOC] Where the Lines Overlap

Sorry about the delayed reply, was on and off with the last two days!
Will try and keep on track:)
