So, you want to hear a story? Curious little child. Well, I have nothing better to do. Morning isn't coming soon, so the bombs won't stop dropping anytime soon, either. What do you want to hear about? The Frogs and the Ox? The Foolish King? The Red Plague? No? You've heard those stories before? Well, tell me what story you wish to hear. Hmm, history? Good on you, child. Where shall we start? Oh, I know. We start from the very beginning of all this.

Everything expires one way or another. Kingdoms, dynasties, people, empires. They all are destructible. Thus was the case of the seemingly invincible Federation of Terra, a vast empire that hid under the guise of a consulate, a federation of Human countries that worked together to achieve a perfect Sol System ruled by Man. This Federation was built by the First Consul, whose name history has forgotten, who dreamt wildly of Mankind being the greatest species of all, destined to rule the universe one day. He died in an expedition to Pluto, dying peacefully in his sleep. In his works, he wrote of a possible exterior threat, but nobody truly believed him. He died on 2083. It was on 2200 when the Federal Utopia had been achieved, where suffering had been mostly quenched. Mankind forgot about all the possibilities of an exterior threat, and began a process of removing weapons of mass destruction, leaving behind only pistols, batons, knives, and swords. It was all in the name of progress: a universal brotherhood ruled in the hearts of men, and wars were ceased. Mankind continued its policy of peace as it began to expand further out into the Orion Arm. Outside of Mankind's affairs was also the seemingly indestructible empires of various alien species that once ruled the Milky Way and surrounding galaxies peacefully, thanks to the coalition established in the Orion Arm, this coalition which would be know as the Orion Coalition, which carried the black Orion Banner.

When Humanity began to expand in its frontiers, Terra popped up in the Coalition's radars. It was ripe for the taking, habitable to three of the five species of the Coalition. It soon branded Mankind as an external threat to the security of the Coalition. Eventually, Mankind made the mistake of coming to a Coalition planet bordering by the edge of the Orion Arm, which began the Coalition's efforts to destroy Mankind, or at least send it back to the stone age and take over Terra. Even before the ship carrying the scientists could enter orbit, it was already shot down. Mankind was distraught, and the conservative politicians pushed for a bill that would allow factories to rearm only the military with weapons. They were turned down by the First Consul, a radical millennial progressive who tried to seek peace with this new alien species. This decision was considered madness, and this consul was kicked out. The 'go' sign for the reproduction of weapons was approved by the new consul, and the Federal Terran Army was formed. War raged on for Mankind's survival as the Coalition pushed against the Human forces in Terra. Using its weapons of mass destruction that it hid, Mankind defeated the first wave of alien invaders. Soon, we were building our own warships by arming our spacecraft with massive weapons.

Soon, it was us Humans who began to conquer the lands of the conqueror. Mankind began to adopt humanocentric views, and the Coalition's wish to exterminate Mankind grew more. This lead to a series of wars between Mankind and the Coalition, but this war caused a recession that brought rise to the Bolshevik movement founded on 2500. It was on 2500 when the Bolsheviks grew enough to conquer an entire planet, then an entire system, and since all of Mankind's forces were busy engaging the Coalition, they could only watch in shock as all of Mankind's achievements were blown away in the course of thirty years. By 2530, the only thing standing between the Sol System and the Bolsheviks and Coalition was Karas, which was practically a fortress. It was on the planet of Elvina where the Union of Elvina was established, a union between the Bolsheviks and the Orion Coalition. It was on this poor planet that the Coalition first showed its true strength. Using a mysterious disk-shaped ship, they harnessed energy from the local star, and used its energy against the planet. It turned into a massive fireball, and the core turned into magma that had no way of escaping. The pressure of the magma, combined with the sealed volcanoes, blew the planet apart with one massive explosion after the other, sparing nobody. The shock of the loss of one of Mankind's strongholds rendered the demoralised soldiers useless as the Bolsheviks took over Terra and successfully created a treaty that saved Mankind from certain destruction as long as it stayed within the boundaries of its prewar planets.

For the next twelve millennia, they stayed there. The Bolsheviks created a fake utopia which kept secret the systematic genocide of millions of men and women per day to lower the birth rate and keep the image of communism clean, while the Coalition created a dystopia for the Humans left in their colonies while anarchists continued to pervert the democratic system to fulfil the innermost evil desires of men. For the past twelve thousand years, Mankind has suffered under the violent and oppressive rule of Red and Black. From the screams of suffering and pain, the White Guard movement rose, starting off in unconquered Russia: that vast plain of fertile fields and small villages. From these wide fields, the movement spread throughout the rest of Terra, and eventually grew to the point where every world had at least a thousand men. They were labelled a partisan group, and were first combatted by the police, but soon, it became apparent that the police wasn't enough to take care of these partisans as they began to take factories outside Russia's boundaries.

The last straw came with the publicised assassination of an ardent liberal. Now, the people are tired, and the people are angry; rebellion brews in every dark corner of every single world. Thoughts of a coup stir in the minds of Bolshevik generals, while thoughts of conquest brews in the mind of a general of the White Guard. Now, child, sit comfortably, and let the story begin...

RED DEVIL: The Directory–The Directory is a communist organisation that rose when it destroyed the Federation. It is a communist society, where equality is the norm, but freedom is artificial and blind. Under its rule, millions of men and women die each week to make sure that communism works. It spans from various Outer Worlds all the way to Pluto, all the way to Terra. They created a utopia of sorts, where nobody is rich, and nobody is poor. While, at first, this may have seemed good, the communist system of their economy made trillions suffer, and in order to cope with this suffering, the Bolsheviks resorted to killing off millions every week in an effort to lower the population. Scarcity plagued the planet under the Bolsheviks and their policy of adherence to the innermost evil thoughts of a person corrupted the souls of many.

Image

WHITE GUARD– The White Guard is an interplanetary partisan organisation with the goal to overthrow the Directory. It was formed long ago as the White Army, which was originally a partisan force fighting the invading Bolsheviks. Though they fought hard, they lost, and most of their secrets were hidden until they were once again uncovered by an expeditionary force lead by a former Bolshevik soldier who was exiled for speaking out against the suffering he encountered in a secret death camp filled with political opponents set to be executed. The White Guard was formed in the unconquered lands of Russia in 13918, and the moment it was established thousands of Bolsheviks flocked to fight for it. By the end of the century, it was eight hundred thousand men strong, but it was still just a partisan force scattered across the world until the arrival of former Bolshevik military scientist Gustaf Gladium. Under his leadership, the White Guard was turned into an army based on Terra. It upholds Christian values and morals (though it is a diverse cast of different religions), justice, and liberty.

BLACK BANNER: The Orion Coalition– The Orion Coalition is a millennia-old coalition of intelligent alien species that was formed to stop a centuries-old war and unite the species under one banner after they realised that all of them were equally superior to the rest of the galaxy. Mankind, however, was perceived as a threat, and the Coalition united to invade Terra. Though they brought with them millions of men, the Humans fought savagely to free their homeworld, and they were pushed back for three centuries before they were able to reclaim their lost land in a new glorious war that saw not only the re-annexation of lost territory, but also the first steps of the Orion Coalition further out into the rest of the seen universe.

A. Crandorians– The Crandorians were once a mighty empire that ruled alone as the sovereigns of the Andromeda Galaxy. They are characterised by their white skin and deep, sunken, red eyes. They are humanoid, but are far from Human. Their homeland and place of evolution is a volcanic planet with no vegetation, but plenty of predators.

B. The Elders– The Elders are an amphibious reptilian species that once had their empire spanning two galaxies, including the Milky Way, when their species was nearly destroyed by a species of corporeal energy-consuming gods worshipped by another empire from a distant galaxy.

C. Oxcidonians– The Oxcidonians had their origins as creations of the Elders, having thick, black skin. They had tusks, and had hard, buff bodies. They were massive and strong, but lack intelligence. They are usually used as cannon fodder being deployed in the millions, breaking through thick lines in a matter of hours.

D. Sodomites– The Sodomites are a dangerous species that practise hedonism and immoral deeds. These deeds have widely influenced the rest of the Coalition member species, but also have their influences extend to Human souls, corrupting them.

E. The Brutes– Brutes are usually similar to Oxcidonians in terms of size and strength, save for the fact that, despite their names, they are much more intelligent and aren't actually used as cannon fodder, but are instead the bulk of the fighting force. Brutes are usually as hairy as apes, but are also much larger.

THE CORRUPTION– The Corruption is a force fuelled and born out from dark emotions and desires from various species. Their histories are shrouded, but the only thing for certain is this: the Corruption exists in the heart and soul of every living organism, just waiting to manifest itself. It corrupts men, and makes them do evil things to please their masters. Its armies are quite literally innumerable, as every single evil wish and thought from every living intelligent being creates a single entity.

Image

THE GREYS– The Greys are an intergalactic species numbering in the centillions. Each Grey is a soldier, regardless of competence, and usually uses numbers as an overwhelming advantage. They storm enemy positions with sheer number, their artillery and their machine guns keeping the enemy's heads down long enough for the Greys to storm their positions and start slaughtering them. Though mostly unintelligent, they can create their own large Titans, vehicles, and weapons, though most are crudely made and are unreliable.

Image

ARACHNIDS– The Arachnids are a bug-like giant species using biological, living weapons. Though incapable of speech, they are very deadly, and can communicate through animalistic instincts. They are a hive mind, controlled by a queen on each invasion force. The queen, in turn, is commanded by the Hivemind itself, which is located on an unknown planet.

Titans are massive machines that serve various purpose, from factory helping to warfare. In warfare, they are used to deliver massive payloads against enemy forces. They are used mostly for frontline attacks, using sheer firepower to overwhelm the enemy. Various units are made up to account for these, the most common being a unit of five Titans each. The second most common is an assault formation of five Titans and a mechanised infantry regiment. More mobile designs are sleeker and smaller, while delivering a smaller amount of damage per salvo. Titans come in various shapes and sizes, with the smallest Titan being the Titan battle suit, which is five tons heavy, and two metres high, while the largest has a height of nine hundred metres. They almost always employ massive guns, though smaller models can sometimes have variants armed only with anti-infantry weapons.

The year is 14033. The stage is set. General Johann Bellum of the Bolshevik Military, commander of the Twelve Legions, prepares to descend upon Terra after two brutal years of campaigning against the White Guard. He returns with the army behind him, invited back to Terra by the Defence Ministry, who were the central planners against the Bolsheviks, when the Minister of Defence was disillusioned when he was personally shown the thousands of death camps row on row in the Antarctic. Bellum was, as well. Two decades have passed since the facade of a communist utopia began crumbling in the eyes of Bellum, and the war in Pluto was the last straw. He ordered his armies to surrender, and the White Guard in Pluto allowed him to return to Terra with all his men. Now, he prepares for revolution with the backing of the White Guard, who have arranged enough men for the invasion of mainland Europe. The Bolshevik forces stand guard in the Americas, forming rank after rank in the cities. It will be a hard task, but with a complex brain, it was an obstacle that could be passed.

Bellum stood inside his bunker, down by Pluto. He stood by the doorway towards the radio room, where the radio operator began to find the right frequencies. His ear was pushed up against the headphone, listening in. The man looked at Bellum after a moment then nodded. "Tell all my officers the following;" began Johann, "Today, we stand at the crossroads of fate. Today, the chance for a new beginning, a new hope for the people, looms right in front of us. The Bolsheviks, in the guise of the union of peoples, stands against the people. For twelve millennia our people have suffered under this false regime. If you wish to free our people, respond, and kneel before the White Guard. Bring me Colonel Styles and his cronies, dead or alive. He who brings him to me shall receive an apt reward." Every word Bellum said, the operator typed down. "That is all." The radio operator nodded, knowing that it was the end of his service.

Bellum returned to his quarters. It was empty, save for the bed, the table, and the wardrobe. His things were packed in a single backpack that was definitely heavy. The young general took his coat and wore it over his uniform that was air-tight; he took the backpack and slung it across his back, the heavy weight pushing down on him. The replicated Terran gravity made sure of that. Bellum put on thick wool gloves, and secured his fully-loaded pistol before grabbing his schnapps-filled canteen. He took a large swig. As he walked down the hallway towards the suits, he heard heavy footsteps behind him. "General!" called the man, "General!" "What is it?" asked Bellum. "Four of your six officers have accepted your offer." "What of the other two?" asked the general. "The other two have branded us traitors to the cause, and have declared war on us." Bellum scoffed. "I have the entire White Army behind my back, along with the compliment of two hundred thousand former Bolsheviks." "The problem is, sir," the radio operator said, "they have the support of four hundred thousand other Bolsheviks. Look!" The operator handed out a brown folder to Johann, who opened it and read the report. "Then we must act swiftly against them," said Bellum, "I don't want to spend another week in this hellhole. Tell my officers to prepare their soldiers to storm these two traitors." The operator saluted. "Yes sir!" he said, running back to the radio room.

Bellum eventually reached his personal armoury, which contained his suit of armour and his heavier weapons. He inputted the passwords in to get through the vault-like door, and when he stepped inside, his body was warmed. He quickly packed up. The massive suit stood two metres tall, and had a container for his stuff. Johann opened the compartment and threw his bag in before closing the compartment. He jumped up into the machine and closed it, encasing him in several centimetres of composite metals. He allowed the room to depressurise before he exited out into the empty and cold landscapes of Pluto, prepared to once again lead his men to victory.

The gravity in Pluto was barely a fraction of Terra's, but the weight of the machine made it seem like Bellum was still in Terran conditions. A few moments later, however, his officers arrived for the briefing. The plan Bellum gave was simple. All two hundred thousand soldiers formed up by Colonel Styles' fort. By now, the bastard could have easily declared himself a general, considering the fact that they had the support of four hundred thousand of the original one million sent to Pluto. Luckily, Bellum had the White Guardsmen to back him up. It would just take longer, as they were far away, and were scattered. The former Bolsheviks, however, were packed tightly, and were already prepared.

"We shall storm the positions of Colonel Styles' army," began Bellum. "It is on an elevated position, though a hill overlooking their fort shall be our first objective before we attempt any further attacks." "What?" one of his officers asked. "No disrespect, sir," said his adjutant, "but any officer with half a brain would know that attacking a fort on a hill is not a good idea, especially since the enemy has a relief force two hundred thousand strong." "We have a chance," said Bellum, "The engineer corps has thousands of spare Belgian gates and hedgehogs to stop any advance. We shall build two impenetrable walls of hedgehogs, gates, and guns across the perimeter of the hill, one facing outward to defend ourselves from the relief force, one facing inward to defend and attack Colonel Styles and his traitors. We must have a heavily-armoured unit to defend the exterior wall against the invasion force. We move out in two days, and we have a week to build our fortifications around the hill."

The army encircled the traitors on the hill, and at 21:00 the following week, the siege began, and Bellum waited by the interior wall. He stood mightily by his troops. His mere presence with the golden lion painted on his shoulder plates lifted his men's morale. Throughout the course of a few weeks, thousands of suits were painted white. The recent additions had their hammers and sickles painted over with white paint and replaced by the gold lion. Beside Bellum stood an artillerist. He wore thin armour, and carried only an artillery pistol with him. He carried a tablet in his hands, and calculated. "Sixty degrees," he shouted through the wind, "Two hundred kilometres per hour winds westward!" The massive artillery guns began to adjust. "Sir, we're prepared to fire!" the artillerist shouted, saluting the young general. Bellum nodded. "Fire!" he gave the command. The artillerist turned around. "Fire!" he relayed the command. The guns roared, the bright orange flames illuminating the area as shells flew upwards and fell on the hill above. The explosions could be visible from down below, through the fog and icy mist. In the first few minutes, there was nothing. A few moments later, however, the men felt the rumbling of the ground. Using infrared sensors, Johann detected the Bolsheviks advancing down the hill. "Fire!" Bellum commanded to his men in the trenches. The heavy machine guns opened fire, the bright muzzle flashes creating a show through the darkness of Pluto. The tracer bullets flew across the icy weather, the heavy bullets penetrating through the thick armour.

Bellum himself grabbed his assault rifle and put its massive stock against his shoulder. He opened fire, the infrared sensor blinding him with every muzzle flash. They fired and fired. The field guns penetrated through the armour of the enemy tanks. The enemy tanks were massive, standing at over three metres in height, carrying massive guns, and yet, they still couldn't break through the hedgehogs and the Belgian gates. Those that survived the initial volley of anti-tank shells were stuck and ripe for the destruction by the second volley. The anti-tank guns adjusted and fired the second volley of high-velocity shells. The tanks were all immobilised by the gates, and taken out by the shells. Bellum fired his assault rifle, and the men fired their heavy machine guns.

Re: White Guard, Red Devil, Black Banner

I can say, that I'd like to have a female Titan pilot who's in the White Guard. I'll refrain from making a character for a moment, until you get back to me and give me the go-ahead. If there's a faction you'd rather have me join, lemme know.

Re: White Guard, Red Devil, Black Banner

I'd like to join.

I can't say for certain which faction I'd like to be a part of, so I'll give that a bit of thought, then update this post with the rest of my info for your consideration. I typically make 2-3 characters, but I could do more or less if needed.

All in all, this seems very interesting, I just hope you can get the number of people a project like this deserves.
