This is the update thread. The purpose of this thread is to regularly post large events that have occurred within the roleplay so that everyone can easily catch up without reading a page full of posts, of course it's recommended to read each and every post but that's optional. Updates will include:
- Character changes
- Character deletions
- Character substitutes
- New characters
- Real world updates
- Plot status
- CHIPS changes
- CHIPS events
- Real world changes
- Real world events
- Currently tracked characters
- Information the system has obtained from your characters
Digital World Map
CHIPS is a world similar to Earth except for the areas of the world which has yet been constructed by the system (known as deep space and if fallen into you become part of the system) or developing areas (known as hot zones). Chips contain special locations known as Bridges. These bridges connect CHIPS the original DW to other DWs that other users have made during beta testing. These digital worlds are known as Digital Outer Worlds (DOWs) and can only be accessed by obtaining the owner's password for that DOW, but going through a DOW to CHIPS simply need user verification (Legitimate buyers/owners of a DOW). The borders of the CHIPS is constantly moving since the system is always expanding like the universe, beyond the borders are deep space areas. Hot zones are created by wiping files attempting to rid areas of infection; basically these are zones that are under construction and usually contain a lot of security files patrolling the area. There are three sections of CHIPS the Inner Ring, the Center Ring, and the Outer Ring. The inner ring is where the system started and contains lots of important files (your destination). The center ring is like the industrial area it contain structures, usually abandoned but there are still some areas that contain civilization. The last ring, the outer ring is the largest ring since it contains nothing but places such as deserts, canyons, oceans, etc. basically places no one wants to live at except for files such as Dark Creepers. Usually places in the outer ring are dark and eerie places.
