Being around for 1000 years makes you a little cynical, at least that's what Alice is finding during her time hunting. A long life has left her somewhat unimpressed by the world she lives in and it takes a lot to get her really impressed. Alice is pretty arrogant at times, which is somewhat understandable given everything she's done, and stubborn when she believes she's right. She is a deeply logical person and will follow her head rather than her heart in pretty much all circumstances. While a long life might appear to have left her hard-hearted, Alice is actually incredibly compassionate when it comes to the people around her. Unfortunately, she rarely has people around her since most vampires want her dead. She also has a great capacity for loyalty. In the last Circle, Alice was incredibly loyal to her teammates, often putting her own neck on the line to buy them time to escape. While her Belial instincts tell her not to kill, Alice will willingly take the life of a vampire, usually without a second thought.

History
Born in the 11th century, it's safe to say Alice has been around a fair while. Alice was the second child of eleven, but only one of five to survive to adulthood. When she was fifteen, Alice married Thomas, a young man who lived in the village. Their marriage was amicable enough, and in a relatively short space of time, they had three children together; Ronan, Lorcan and Matilda. In a rare turn of events, all three of Alice's children survived to adulthood, not that she actually got to see them grow up. Shortly after Alice's 22nd birthday, and unbeknownst to her, a Belial took up residence just outside the village. In the months leading up to her turning, Alice couldn't shake the feeling she was being watched.
Not long after the Belial's arrival, Alice became dangerously ill with a high fever. The lack of medicine available at the time meant that, barring a miracle, she would almost certainly die. As per the requirements of the transformation, the first night of the transformation, there was a storm raging. Following the first feeding, Alice became ever more ill and her last rites were read, which she endured in great pain. The following night, the Belial fed from her again and by morning, Alice was at death's door and it was certain she would die. On the third and final night, she was transformed into a vampire after drinking the Belial's blood. Although pale and cold, her family regarded her recovery as a miracle, as did Alice, who was at this time unaware of what had happened to her. A few nights later, the Belial came to her and confessed what he had done and explained to her the need to leave her family. Knowing what she was, she reluctantly left with the Belial a few nights later. The first time she fed from a human, Alice was almost crippled with self loathing. She repeatedly begged her maker to kill her, threatening to throw herself to the hunters if he didn't. He refused, sensing that she was being melodramatic.
The years passed and Alice and her maker parted ways. Determined to find a way to survive without human blood, Alice went into hiding, living as far away from any human civilisation as she could. Living on animal blood, Alice abstained from human blood for as long as she could, eventually having to feed from a human, although the time between feedings became longer and longer. Through long lapses of meditation, during which she would effectively be in a coma, Alice eventually conquered her blood lust. By this point, it was the mid 1300s. Seeking a purpose for herself, Alice began hunting vampires that treated humanity as sport. Many vampires have since died by her hands over the centuries, alone and as part of The Circle. As word of a vampire who hunted vampires spread, Alice became that little more difficult to find as she repeatedly went into hiding. She was found in the early 1600s and the first, and so far only Circle, was created. Much of what happened within The Circle is surrounded in myth, but what is known is that by the end of the century, The Circle had been disbanded for some years.Following the end of The Circle, Alice returned to hunting the world alone, occasionally coming into contact with fellow hunters but saying nothing of her own origins.
