While Jackson may have a few ties to a variety of people all over the map, his most notable ones are to his crew, which only consists of a rag-tag team of less than a dozen people, all of which he knows by name and trusts dearly.

|| History ||
The open seas is nearly all Jackson has known. He was born on open waters, on a boat, to his mother, who was a Navy Captain at the time, and to his father, who was a pirate captive on their vessel. Soon after his birth, his parents fled with him the second they reached land. His mother, more inexperienced with escaping authorities than his father, ended up being taken down for being mistaken as a criminal, although she was only wanted for deserting her duties. He was raised for a time by his father, but around the age of puberty, their ship was stormed and his father was taken into captivity. The only portion of his father's crew that got away happened to be Jackson himself. Ever since, he's raided the seven seas, taking after his father in his desire to find all the treasures of the world and make them his own.

So begins...

There was a deafening boom, and then she was submerged within the waters she had craved to be one with her whole life, and suddenly everything made sense. There's always a siren, singing you to shipwreck. Some of us may be more susceptible than others are, but there's always a siren. It may be with us all our lives, or it may be many years or decades before we find it or it finds us. But when it does find us, if we're lucky we're Odysseus tied up to the ship's mast, hearing the song with perfect clarity, but ferried to safety by a crew whose ears have been plugged with beeswax. If we're not at all lucky, we're another sort of sailor stepping off the deck to drown in the sea.

Her best friend had just been killed before her eyes, and she couldn't bring herself to fight the siren's song and swim back to the surface for the air that her lungs starve for. So she gave in, and sunk down the the depths below.
