A world of betrayal

Rika took that as a challenge. "And what trouble may that be? I am not afraid of you." She poked his chest. Something about it made her giggle. She was having fun in a weird way considering he was her ex but it was still fun.

It may not have been the answer he wanted but Javier couldn't say anything against that, "Of course we're only here for ramen, I won't be able to buy anything else. Let's hurry so I can at least have dinner tonight." He started to stroll across the store and looked down each isle, after a few he looked at Cecilia and said, "Does it sound like I'm being pushy? I know you don't like rudeness so let me know if I am, sorry if I am thought I'm starving."

"Oh No, not at all." She looked around until she spotted the ramen and then ran over to it an grabed it. "I found it," she said handing it to him. C.C. could still feel the akwardness between them. She really wished that they could just get over the akwardness.

"Yes, alright this can get us 10 so..." Javier started putting the ramen in his basket. Over the intercom a voice said, "Shoppers the store will be closing in 15 minutes." Javier started counting the boxes, "6, 7, 8, 9 and your box makes 10. Alright let's check out." He didn't know what to do right now hug her, pat her on the head, so he just gave her a nice smile and headed to check out.

She nodded and went with him to the check out. She would have liked him to do more then just smile at her. Still she was happy to just hang out with him.

Once they bought the raman she asked, "So should we go to my place or yours?"

Javier thanked the cashier and walked out with Ceciilia. He wanted to be away from this situation as fast as possible, but he didn't want to seem hurried. "Oh, well uhh..." He was searching his mind for the correct words. What do I say!?!? Going to her place could lead to something, going to mine could lead to the same thing. "We can go to my place, then I can cook up some of this and we can eat. If you don't have to..." Javier trailed off, he saw a strange looking man with a box coming towards them. He stared at him, making sure he doesn't pull anything on them.

When the man was close enough he held out the box and said, "Here kids, take this box and bring me peace." Javier looked at it unsure of what it could be. Reluctantly he grabbed the box and the man continued on around the corner out of sight. Javier held the box and turned it over while inspecting it. "As I was saying we could go to my place if you don't have to sleep or anything. We can see what's inside of this while we're at it too." Has my luck paid off enough to get me something big?

C.C. looked at the box, watching Javier inspect it. "That sounds good to me..." she trailed off staring at the box. "You don't think it could be dangerous do you?" She knew that Javier didn't have the best of luck and was really hoping that the box didn't just explode and kill them both. "Maybe we should just open it now. You know make sure it won't burn your house down." Of course she also just really wanted to know what was inside.

"Open it now? You might be right I don't want anything happening to my place, I still need to cook this ramen." Carefully he placed his hand on the lid and cracked it open a bit, so far nothing happened. Taking a deep breath he threw the lid off and stared into the box. "What the... could it be? It is!" Reaching his hand inside he pulled out a thick stack of hundred dollar bills. Javier started jumping up and down with his hands in the air "Hahaha, this is the luckiest day of my life!" Through his excitement he couldn't tell the heavy wait of the money, until he calmed down a bit. Then his smile shrunk and he measured the weight of the stack with his hand. "Heh... huh? This isn't money, stupid old man!" In his rage he threw it against the wall but it was made out of some strange heavy, rubbery substance so it bounced right back at him right at his face. Javier fell down on his back unconscious and the strange brick cracked open revealing something inside, some kind of ring from the looks of it.

"Javier!" She ran over to his side to see if he was okay. She knew she should have opened the box instead of him, this was bound to happen. Once she reached him she saw the ring that lay next to him. "Could it be?" she thought out loud, placing the ring on her finger. It was a prefect fit. "It is! Oh! Javier! Yes! I'll..." she trailed off, that's right he was unconcious. He wouldn't be able to hear her answer anyways.

She bent down next to him and lefted his head up, placing it on her lap. She felt his head for any bumps and looked to make sure that he didn't crack his skull open. All in all he seemed fine, luckily he was litterally hard headed due to all of the similar events that had happened to him before. She knew he'd be fine when he woke up, plus she had some smelling salts at home. She went to grab a shopping cart, luckily the had the kind that were flat beds. She draged him onto it and put the bag of ramen next to him.

Her house wasn't too far away from the store, so she was able to push him all the way there, of course along the way she got some dirty looks and had to explain what had happened to several people to keep them from calling the police. Eventually though she had been able to get him onto her couch and had the smelling salts out waving it by his nose to get him to wake up.

Javier awoke to a disgusting smell and he started to cough from it. He pushed the smelling salts away from his face and covered his nose and mouth with his arm. "What kind of smell is that? If it's you're cooking I don't want it." He would have to apologize later for that or suffer the consequences now.

The past few minutes were a blur and he had no clue where he was. He couldn't get a good grasp of where he was because his vision was a bit unfocused. Everything looked like there were doubles of them. Then the pain rushed to his head, "Ah, it still hurts. What happened?"

She immedeately removed the smelling salts when he woke up. "No, it's not what I'm cooking. Now don't move." Now that he was awake she felt like she could actually start cooking the ramen and move him easier. She went to her room and grabed a few pillows. As she was putting them under his head she said, "Well we recieved a box full of fake heavy money and you threw it, it hit you in the head and then you passed out. When I went to get you I found this," she held up her hand for him to see the ring around her finger.

"I had no idea that's how you felt. Honestly I thought you might not like me at all, but now I know I was wrong. So the answer is yes." She put her hand down and put a blanket on him.

"Would you like me to make you some ramen?"
