Benny had a pretty normal childhood. She was daddy's little girl, and could do no wrong in his eyes. When she reached her teenage years and actually started to think about what they were doing, the they were hunting the vampires, she and her dad grew apart. He still has trouble getting angry with her even though she doesn't listen to a word he says.
Benny is an only child, as her mother died during childbirth. Her father never remarried, being too busy with the hunters and raising Benny to even think about dating or getting married again. So, it was always just Benny and her dad, and he spoiled her whenever he got the chance, though that kind of trickled off when she became a teenager and started fighting against her father and his beliefs.
He still gave her a lot, just not quite as much as he used to, though Benny didn't really mind, she held strong to her own beliefs and wasn't going to budge no matter what her father thought. He tried to keep her sheltered, never letting her leave the property unless she was accompanied by another hunter, but that didn't stop her from sneaking out as she got older. She never really had any place in mind as to where she was going to go, she would just sneak out just to do it, because she was told she couldn't. At times, she can be rather stubborn and head strong.
Benny doesn't like violence, she avoids it at all costs, though, that's not to say she won't defend herself if she is left with no other choice. She doesn't have a death wish, contrary to what some of the hunters may think. If she sees something, or someone hurting, she can't just ignore it, she'll do what she can to help. She was always sneaking injured birds, squirrels, and other small animals into her room, nursing them back to health before letting them go again.
Benny doesn't like to judge people based on stereotypes or what others may think. As far as she's concerned, vampires are similar to humans and even hunters for that matter, there are good ones and bad ones, but you can't judge the whole group based on a few bad apples.
