Description
The Atac Magocracy
Race:
The Atac Magogracy was founded and is populated by a race calling themselves the Atacans, commonly known as the "Starseers". They populate the eastern highland jungles of the Southern Continent.
Language:
Atacans speak atzloataca, a very slow monotone language incomprehensible to outlanders.
Origin:
Atacan mythology has it that atacans' souls descended from the stars as emissaries to the lowly beings that inhabit the mortal plane. These stories passed around as folklore in between the earliest known atacan tribes.
Capital:
The atacan capital is the grand city of Tibburaxx "The Celestial Pillar", a city of stone pyramids. The city is known as a trade hub as well as a spiritual hub, signified by a giant stone statue called Trinicoatla "Farseer", depicting a divine high-priest holding the stars around him.
Religion:
Atacans worship the sun, the moon and the stars. They believe the stars are etherial holes left by their ancestor's souls. The sun and the moon are the eyes of Hemah, a mythic ancient high-priest believed to have ascended to stand a silent vigil over all atacans. The leaders of the atacan government are all high-priests, seers and oracles, members of the "moon" caste. They maintain a strong god-king status over all other castes while acting for the greater good of others with no exceptions.
Culture:
The atacans have a sophisticated and wealthy culture heavily influenced by their traditions and mythology. The trademarks of their architechture are tall pyramid-like buildings, along with detailed stone carvings, signifying their desire to become one with the stars.
The atacans have developed a caste society, wherein every atacan is believed to be born and raised into a certain caste, each having their own appearance and physiology:
The "dawn" caste consists of artisans, builders, masons and artists. They devote their lives to stonecraft, being the strongest of all castes.
The "sun" caste consits of warriors, hunters, scouts and dancers. They form the backbone of the atacan military and are bred into fierce fighters.
The "dusk" caste consists of alchemists, farmers, herbalists and musicians. They maintain the infastructure and are among the most ingenious of all atacans.
The "moon" caste consits of diplomats, traders, seers and high-priests. They are the most high-ranking, and the rarest caste of all atacans.
Appearance:
The appearance of atacans depends on their caste. Members of the dawn caste are short and sturdy, sporting wide hips and shoulders, along with thick limbs. Their skin tones vary from dark grey to olive green. Members of the sun caste are muscular and bodacious. Their skin tones vary from light gray to turquoise. Members of the dusk caste are slender and tall. Their skin tones vary from bright green to light blue. The members of the moon caste are the tallest of all atacans and also the most frail. Their skin tones vary from light grey to bright blue.
However all atacans are bipedal humanoids. They have calves, flat noses, lizardlike facial features and long fingers.

Atacans are skilled in stonecrafting as well as alchemy. They also have an impeccable skill of navigating and astrology due to their fascination with star patterns.
