When she was little her father left her with a promise that he would be back. After waiting thirteen years for the only man she trusted to come back, with him never she started loosing hope. She trusted her father, he was there when she really needed someone to talk to. She didnt want to loose hope but he never showed any form of returning. Her mother was a drunk that never helped her with anything, just stayed home getting drunk and drowning herself in selfpity. But when her mother came to her with the idea of her going to a bording school she thought that her mother had finally lost it. But she waould do anything to get away from her phyco mother, so she took up her offer to go to the bording school.
Kyra keeps to herself, but when she came to Babylon at the age of 15 she opened up to her best friend Alyssum. The headmistress helped Kyra finally find her father after so many years of waiting for his return. Being lycan, they live an unnaturally long life so he is well and is living in a little cabin near the school. Kyra never really found her one love like her best friend did, and she has basically given up on finding him/her. She understands that everything happenes for a reason and if he/she ever enters her life, then so be it.
