Otto makes up for his old age and lack of strength by using what he likes to call his 'charming and delightful' personality. He has always been a rather energetic dog, and all that bubbly energy was usually transferred towards keeping his owners happy. Because he was young when his owners abandoned him he has grown rather resentful towards most humans and is somewhat aggressive towards humans he doesn't know. But to the humans who took him in from the streets he is forever loyal and affectionate towards them. However he still hates their cat - and any cats really - with a passion. What? Cats are just little fluffy jerks in his opinion.

Towards other dogs Otto can seem somewhat abrasive and brash. He isn't outright rude but has a tendency to just let whatever hes thinking just flow out. Unless of course he is talking to a pretty girl, then he lets all that charm just flow out. In truth Otto can be a little sarcastic. he rambles a lot when he's scared but is typically able to keep himself from breaking under pressure. He is often times seen as cowardly however, because he always tries to find his way out of dangerous situations without a fight.

Even though Otto is protective he wont stand up for anyone unless they can't fend for himself, and unless he knows that there won't be any fighting ensuing. His protective nature is geared more towards nagging younger dogs and preaching to them about being safe, which often times causes others to be annoyed by him. But Otto has years of street life on his side to back up his nagging and won't do it unless he thinks a friend is going to be in danger. But usually nobody takes his opinions with more than an ounce of salt....Probably because he over exaggerates a lot.

Otto can get annoyed pretty easily sometimes. Usually he doesn't do anything about it but sometimes he can snap, making him somewhat volatile in some situations. He doesn't like loud noises, and is deathly afraid of thunder storms.

Otto was born in Riverdale animal shelter, where he spent the first few months of his life with his four other siblings. Life as a puppy was pretty simple for Otto, there wasn't much that happened other than having to see the animal doctor a few times. It was somewhat unfortunate however that he was born without a pedigree. Being a mutt was often times a turn off for the humans who came in. After the shelter released him to the adoption floor with his siblings he spent many weeks waiting for a family to choose him. But as time went on and all his brothers and sisters were adopted before him he wondered just what it was that made nobody want him.

By pure luck however a family came to adopt him. They were nice enough for the first few months. Especially since Otto was a considerably high maintenance puppy. His energy as a younger dog made him itch to chase things all the time and he had a bad habit of chewing up anything soft he could get his mouth on. He was with the family for a year and a half - and then suddenly he wasn't any more...Well, perhaps not suddenly. Otto doesn't like to admit the wrong he did to the family by biting their four year old daughter on the arm - he didn't even realize what he was doing all he knew was one minute the little human was pulling his tail a little too hard and the next he had his jaws around her forearm. He didn't bite her hard enough to bleed though, it was a warning bite is all. But the humans didn't take kindly to it.

He knew from stories that the neighbors dog Cupid told him that humans who didn't want their dogs would take them back to the shelters, and for a dog that wasn't really a puppy anymore that was practically death itself. If he wasn't adopted then he would be euthanized, plain and simple. So Otto took matters into his own hands. He knew that the humans were taking him to the shelter when they put him in the car, and he also knew that at some point the car door would be opened and that would be his chance to escape before they even realized it. Pulling it off was easy, but what came after was rather hard.

He spent the next three years on the streets of a busy city. Learning the ropes, how to beg, how to steal, how to find his way so he wouldn't die. All the while holding out hope that maybe he would be saved from the life of a stray; A life he never wanted. After countless years of running from animal control, eating out of trashcans, and sleeping in the cold his salvation came in the form of one little girl. Admittedly her parents weren't too thrilled when the little girl brought him back to her house, and they fought very loudly for at least twenty minutes before the girl put on the water works. Her parents, though still reluctant allowed him to stay. Since then he became the girls best friend, and because they were giving him a home and a better life he vowed to forever be loyal to them.

When the people took him he had been on a walk with his girl. She turned away from him for a single second, but it was long enough for the people to grab him. He couldn't get away quick enough....Now, he's here hoping that his girl is still out there looking for him.

Delphine had just stepped out the door to visit Berlin, her super hunky (and super popular) boyfriend, when she felt someone or something grab onto her. She tried to fight against the grip, thrashing about and digging her claws into flesh. But a cloth with a strange smell was pressed against her snout, and Delphine's world faded to black.

She was out cold for several hours before she awoke. She was in a cramped cage, which reeked of feces and urine. There were three other dogs with her, but she could barely make out their features. Obviously they were all still asleep from whatever substance had caused her to fall asleep as well, meaning she had gotten there first. Why the hell was she here?! This was a shithole! She deserved far much better. She wanted to go home now. The bastards who had taken her needed some serious talking to.

After a few more seconds of pondering her situation, Delphine began to feel a sharp pain in her shoulderblade. A quick lick to the source, and Delphine had realized she had a wound, not unlike the needles her vets injected her with. What had been done to her? Her pain progressively got worse and worse with each passing second, until it reached its climax. She had been biting her tongue the entire time in an effort to not howl, but once the pain had become too much, she allowed herself to voice her pains. Out came the most pathetic sound she had ever heard in her life, and she was ashamed.

Firo had been prowling his territory for food, hoping to avoid finding trespassing mutts he would have to fight with, when he saw a strange white van parked in an alleyway. Usually, this alleyway was empty despite some old abandoned junk that a few cats used as refuge. Curious, he walked up to the foreign vehicle and began to sniff it. It smelled like dog, and chemicals. This just peeked his interest even more. He noticed a door slightly ajar, and leapt into the van through it.

Once inside, he saw a cage apparatus in the back with two fast-asleep dogs inside of it. Two gorgeous girl dogs, to be exact. These two dogs were obviously from a family of rich people. He had always wanted an uptown girlfriend. That would be amazing. Just like that Billy Joel song, Uptown Girl. Any smarter dog would have sensed danger and gotten out of there, but Firo was stupid and a total horndog. He sat in front of the cage, pondering which girl he should try first. They were fast asleep, but he could wait for them to awake. Maybe ask them what they were doing here as a starter? He was contemplating whether he should say "Hey baby are you from Tennessee, because you're the only ten I see", or "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?", when he felt a cloth cover his mouth and nose. The fabric reeked of a chemical Firo didn't recognize, and he began to become drowzy. He wanted to push off this strange human and the strange cloth, but he had no energy to. He slipped into a deep slumber, and the human carefully slid him into the cage with the two other dogs.

"Come on Otto!"

Otto's little girl yells, waving her hands rapidly in the air with a big grin spread across her face. Otto yips in reply, muffled by the Frisbee clenched between his teeth. He trots back over happily. She takes the Frisbee from him and he jumps up to place his dirty paws on her blue sun dress, licking her face happily. He stretches out his neck to try and grab the Frisbee from her hands but she laughs and pushes him away.

"Sorry boy, but moms going to want us back home soon."

Otto mentally sighs, but still wags his tail happily. He didn't mind going back home so early, as long as his girl is happy he's happy - and her happiness hinges on whether the old humans are angry or not. They certainly would be if they didn't get back in time so he sits still while the girl clicks his leash back onto his collar.

They were walking through a parking lot when it first happened. Otto can sense something isn't quite right. Like a low thrum in his ear and he can smell something weird. He tugs harder on his leash to get the little girl to walk faster. He doesn't feel like being in this parking lot any longer than needed. But as they passed by a van with its door open Otto felt sudden arms gripping him tight. He chokes for a moment as his leash is torn away from his girl, knocking his breath away. He's dazed but he can hear his girl screaming loudly. Otto barks raspingly, fighting against the arms that keep him down. His girls screams begin fading away at the same time something pricks his neck. The last thing he knows before everything goes dark is that the van is moving further away.

Otto woke up to the sound of whimpering and let out his own low whine. Everything ached more than usual and there was a sharp pain in his head. He tried moving right away but felt far too dizzy and laid his head back down to avoid bringing up his breakfast. He tries to peice together what had happened but can't quite wrap his mind around it. When he finally opens his eyes and looks around he notices there are other dogs around him and the low whining is coming from a poodle opposite of him.

"Wha -" Otto stops abruptly as a new wave of nausea overcomes him. He slowly blinks, taking in his surroundings.

"Where are we?" He rasps, hoping the poodle might know.

Someone else in the cage had stirred, and she quieted her distress call as he asked her a question. She could barely make out his face, but he looked old and street-roughened. Not a boy she would usually flirt with.

Come on, Delphine, this isn't the time or place to be thinking about getting laid!she scolded herself. Delphine shook herself out before forcing herself to focus on the problem at hand. "I do not know where we are... I was kidnapped. Were you?" She sniffed at him, and smelled blood. "I am just in so much pain. Help me, please." She was whining, begging, pleading.

All she wanted was a bit of sympathy. Someone to go, "Boo hoo hoo, poor little Delphine. This is terrible. No one has ever faced such a tragedy."

"Do you have a wound in your shoulder? Are you in pain like I am?" Delphine asked him in a near-whisper.

Otto sniffed, he could smell the same strange smell on her that was on him. It was somewhat covered by the smell of blood - but it was still noticeable. He drags himself up into a sitting position. "Yeah, someone grabbed me while I was out walking with my girl...I hope she's okay..." He whines lightly. He didn't know what he would do if she had been hurt. He turns to lick at the fur on his shoulder, tasting his own blood but it wasn't too much. But there was still an ache in the wound and it throbbed even more once he lapped his tongue over it a few times.

"Its not too bad, try and think about something else." He answers mildly, looking around fully now. He looks at her closely, realizing she doesn't look like the type to have gone through anything quite this rough before. "I'm sorry your in a lot of pain." He amends seconds later.

"We shouldn't be here, we need to find a way out...."

"I hope he wakes up soon too, especially since he is cute!" She giggled. Even in the face of imminent danger, she couldn't really think of anything besides boys. Delphine needed to get her priorities straight. Sighing, she shook herself out. Time to focus, Delphine. Focus.
"We should try and see if we can open the cage", she suggested.

Firo was in the midst of a lovely dream about being a world-famous canine athlete when he was shaken awake. His automatic response to being interrupted was to groan and lash out at the culprit with his back paws as he rolled over. On the way to his other side, he banged his head into the cage's metal bars. It hurt, but he was now completely focused. He turned and looked at the dog who had touched him. They were a girl dog. A cute girl dog.

"My goodness, Miss, I don't know what came over me!" he apologized.

"I'll get us out of here before something like that happens!" cried Firo before throwing himself at the iron bars. He slammed into them and fell back, smashing the much smaller Clara beneath him. Smooth. Real smooth. "I am so sorry!" he cried, pulling himself off of her as quickly as he could before beginning to viciously attack the bars with his teeth.

Delphine was still fuming from Khan's absolutely condescending comments, but she felt a lot more intelligent and capable watching this street mutt buffoon flail around. "Darling, that's not going to work. Does anyone have any better ideas to get out than this?"

Unbeknowst to the dogs in the cage, Baroque sat off in the shadows, watching their antics. They were pathetic. It was so comical. Not laughing was quite a struggle. But he somehow managed to keep quiet. Soon he would make himself known and deliver his message. But not quite yet.
