She also kind of believes in that whole "eyes are windows to the soul" thing.
{Emotional, Hotheaded, Friendly, Curious, Insecure}
Emiko was the first emotional Android created and therefore the most deficient. Unlike most of the others, Emiko's artificial emotions are erratic and therefore unstable. She has to constantly be calmed down and almost always in the presence of her fake family. However, Emiko is a very friendly Android that would never hurt anyone intentionally. She is quite hotheaded though, always ready with a snappy comeback or a challenge to throw at people's faces. This can sometimes get her into trouble, but she doesn't really mind. Emiko is also very curious about humans and how their emotions work. She unfortunately possesses no filter when asking questions, especially about love. Emiko is absolutely infatuated with the thought of falling in love. She thinks that it must be amazing have so many feelings for a single person.
Despite coming off as very confident to most people, Emiko is actually very insecure. She hates when people compare her to a human because she isn't one, and she understands that. She doesn't need to have someone point it out to her. Emiko honestly wishes she could be human and that her emotions weren't only part of a code. When someone says that she isn't human, she doesn't snap back like she normally will. Instead, she will simply keep her mouth shut and take a step back. It pains her to think that she can never be like her fake family or like the human students in her class. She honestly hates being an Android.

Emiko was the first Emotional Android created. Tatsuya Hiro created her in the image of his late daughter, also named Emiko. WHen he realized that Android Emiko could not feel emotion, he tried to create a program that could give Androids emotions and feelings. And it worked! However, because Emiko was the first one to receive this program, she is also the most unstable. For two years, Emiko lived with Tatsuya, but he quickly discovered that she was nothing like his daughter. He ended up feeling no love for the Android, and quickly shut her down.
When the government discovered that Tatsuya could actually create an emotional Android, he had to turn her back on to show them. They gave him three other deficient Androids to give the same program. The moment they told him their plans, he jumped on it, happy to be rid of the Android fake of his daughter. He reset her memories, but there is a bug and she can still remember flashes of her past with the inventor. Because of these flashes, she is prone to suddenly becoming quiet, though no one is sure why. If she thinks of the inventor or hears his name, she automatically becomes sad and melancholy.
After being reset, Emiko was sent to a facility, where she learned to act like a human... Well, as human as an Android can act. It was also here where she first started interacting with her Test Family, forming a close bond. She formed a very strong bond with her Test Sister, especially.
