Picture the model as younger, with slightly darker skin. Xing is a broad mixture of his parents, taking his mother's eyes and his father's blonder hair. He was taller than his mother at age 14, and currently stands at 5'5" and still growing taller. His father is 5'10", so Xing assumes that he'll stop growing then. His skin is relatively unmarked by scars or anything at all. He's got a pretty stocky body, not very long limbs. He usually wears white or blue robes, seeing as his mother always liked to keep to her water-nation heritage. He's got a bright face with bright eyes like his mother's, but they sit beneath thick dark eyebrows given to him by his father. His teeth are fairly white, but he's got a couple of crooked ones. He's got a squared jaw, but it also takes on a somewhat soft appearance somehow.

Just an ordinary kid with big dreams. He thinks big, wears his heart on his sleeve, and wants a lot of adventure in his life. However, he's kind of cowardly! Sure, he dreams of doing the crazy and exciting things his parents had while they were growing up, but he also fears anything unfamiliar. He's a bit of a chicken, if you will. It doesn't take much to persuade him into trying things though. He trusts people much too easily, which has gotten him into trouble in the past. He absolutely hates feeling like he's disappointed somebody, even if it's only a stranger he was trying to help. He's pretty smart, which doesn't help his fear of the world at all. He loves very deeply, and is loyal until death for those he cares about... at least, he would like to think so. Let me remind you that he's persuaded very easily.

Xing was born to Katara and Riku fifteen years ago, at the Avatar temple. He grew up hearing stories of the great Aang and his crew, but he never thought they were anything really special until he got older and realized how other people nearly bowed to them as they walked by. He was used to growing up solely around the other kids, and this gave him a bit of a childish outlook on things. He never dreamed of leaving the temple whilst growing up, but he did wonder what the nations were like. He had been to one or two...but certainly not all of them. He never thought about running away, but he never really wanted to leave the mainlands when it was time to go home. As he gets older, he wants more and more to explore the world he felt hidden from. Now it would appear that he's gotten his chance... though not in the way he had hoped for.
