However it was not his physical strength, or his bending alone that elevated him to the king of the Earth Kingdom, but a strong will that allows him to stand tall in front of his subordinates no matter the circumstance. He never wavers, or hesitates.
He's not a patient man. He absolutely hates to be left waiting, so punctuality is key to avoiding the wrath of Earth Kingdom's Iron Dragon. It's for this reason that he often butt heads with the son of Fire Lord Ianzok, even though he considers Aonani his nephew.
Gorron believes that the intimidation factor is a key factor that can decide a battle before it's begun. Though he's only average height, his wild black hair makes him appear even larger than he is, and a bit feral. Combine that with his prominent cheekbones, the many face piercings, red eyes, and the many stories of his monstrous strength perpetuated by the people of the Earth Kingdom and his presence alone can strike fear into the average man.
Like his childhood friend Fire Lord Ianzok, Gorron loves to fight. However unlike his dear friend his pride doesn't allow him to turn down a challenge. Because Gorron rose to power through the strength of his fist he freely accepts any challenge to his rule, only if he recognizes the strength of the one challenging him, though very few have ever actually challenged him. Weather that's out of respect for their leader, or fear of his strength is unknown.
