Ivy is a tiny girl, slim and dainty. She is often treated younger then she is because at first glance she is seen as weak and in need of protection. Her skin is a soft milky color, similar to the color that you would achieve if you poured honey in to a small glass of heavy cream. Her hair is filled with varying shades of dark brown and black.

Add in her large gray blue eyes that are framed by long and thick lashes, a slightly upturned nose and a small but perfectly formed mouth and the end result is a doll like young woman. If you were to describe her as a stereotype it would be the classic girl next door, because she isnt sexy or stunning. Though often times that view is changed when one finds out her job. Add in her slightly whimsical sense of style, her love of heels and make up but yet the fact she can kick ass and that she is more then willing to tinker with cars on her days off and you get a strange version of a tom boy and Ivy.

{Style}
Ivy's style is a little whimsical, often times matching colors and patterns together that dont belong together yet somehow it works on her. She does prefer jeans in a multitude of colors and simple tops matched with flats or even 'skater' shirts matched also with simple shirts and converse. She adores heels but because of her job and the fact she has very little free time, she wears them rarely.

Due to her laid back style, job, and the fact that she prefers tinkering around on her multiple cars on her days off instead of partying, she rarely does anything special with her hair or makeup.. Because her hair is kept at mid back she often has it in a tight but professional pony tail are its twisted into a messy bun or braid, it is rarely if ever down when she is at work. Ivy sees makeup as one of the few treats she gives herself in the mornings and one of the few things she can do to make her look feminine so she goes all out. Smokey eyes, thick lashes, red lips, she loves looking like a girl and sense she wears alot of dark colors, flats, and suits because of her job doing it makes her feel pretty.

When in Ivy does go out she likes to bring one of her favorite eras back to life, meaning she typically wear a simple skin tight black dress, a black choker, a pair of sexy heels, and long gloves occasionally she will add a bright colored flower to her retro hair style, retro meaning lots of curls, tight waves, and teasing to get the proper amount of volume. To go with the outfit and hair style Ivy will typically go with light natural eyes with dark eyeliner, bright red lips, and her eyelashes thicker and darker then normal.

She also has a thick but faded scar on her throat, when she was very young a passing through homeless pedophile tried to kidnap her. It ended with a police stand off where he slit her throat and killed himself. Luckily she survived.

Ivy is a complicated individual, even though she is kind, loving, loyal and friendly she rarely smiles or shows emotion. Its not that she doesnt feel emotion its because she is normally extremely rational, logical, intelligent and observant and has a tendency to focus more on body langue, tone of voice, and eyes contact. Taking in all these different signals and understanding what a person is really saying or feeling. This of course causes her to seem cold, distant, and even snobby.

Though her good friends know that she is a great person many have told her and even tried to explain to her that without smiling or a change in her tone of voice they also cant understand what she is really saying. Ivy is trying to work on this so she doesn't come off as unlikable, Because she is so observant and intelligent it is extremely easy for her mimic other people body langue. Now, once someone really get s to know her, even with her still showing very little emotion, its easy to see that she is a whimsical, forgetful, sweet person who is protective of her friends and aggressive about making sure that they are safe.

Even though she is a complicated person, Ivy has many friends that would stand by her side if she needed them, who would come running if she called, and would try their best to help her in any way. There is just something about Ivy that draws people to her and allows her to make friends easy even if she also has a tendency to make people uncomfortable.

{Strengths and Weaknesses}
↟Observant: Ivy is extremely observant and quite which means she is often over looked. This is a strength of her because that means she can collect information without anyone noticing. This also allows her to notice slight differences in peoples personalities that will allow her to understand what they are feeling.
↟Agile/Graceful: Due to Ivy being small and dainty she had to learn how to protect herself with those limitations. Years of ballet, yoga, gymnastics along with self defense courses have made her extremely agile and fast, this is a strength because it allows her to use her opponents strength against them and to get away from the attacks with ease.

↡Aggressive: Ivy is naturally an aggressive and temperamental person who has a tendency to jump head first into things. This is a weakness because if someone realizes that she i eavesdropping into their conversation or just want her out of their way. All they have to do is pick a fight with her or give her false information that will have chasing her tail.
↡Sympathetic: This is another of Ivy's primary personality traits and probably her biggest weakness. She can, especially when she is looking for only the best in someone, be swayed to her way of thinking by a sob story or by the person playing up how they are only a product of their upbringing.

{Habits}
When tired, nervous, or bored Ivy has a tendency to people watch. Getting lost in the 'lives' she creates for them in her head and forgetting her original task.
If she is angry or frustrated She has a tendency to clench her fists repeatedly or to chew on her nails as if to release of of her anger.
Laughing at inappropriate times is another habit of her, one she has no idea where it came from and one she cant seem to stop.

{Fears}
Aichmophobia: is a kind of specific phobia, the morbid fear of sharp things, such as pencils, needles, and knives.
Ivy's fear of knives and sharp things is understandable. Having someone attempt to kidnap you and then upon realizing that they couldn't get away deciding to slit you throat and kill themselves would probably cause you to have this same fear. Extremely sharp things that are not knives make her nervous but only having a knife pointed at her or too close to her will cause her to have a panic attack.











Born on the Winter Solstice, Ivy was carefully wrapped up after the Faerie branding ceremony and left on her fathers door step for him to find. When her father found her, he didn't question her appearance and instead raised her in the tiny little cabin in the middle of the forest. It was only as she aged that she started to notice that her father would look at her with relief in his eyes as she continued to grow and look more and more like him with each passing day. It wasn't until she was in the third grade when a boy two years older then her called her a Tink, which was a slur for a faerie human child, that she realized why her father had constantly looked at her in that manner. He had been worried that the Faerie genes would be stronger then his own and make her appearance less then human.

It was this same fateful day that she walked home crying that she was picked up by a homeless man who was set on taking her with him, her father luckily noticed that she didnt come home on time and called his buddies in the police force and they found her pretty quickly but it wasnt going to be easy. The man, seeing no other way out slit her throat and cut open his own stomach. Ivy survived, he didnt.

It took months for her to heal enough to go home and even more before she was allowed to go back to school. The whole while Ivy's father stayed home with her, never leaving her side and at nights she could hear her father talking outside on the patio begging the unseen forces in the forest to help her. When she was finally able to go to school she had missed to much school and was held back a year, this caused the student to make fun of her and bully her for not only her heritage but also because she was apparently to 'Dumb' to pass the third grade.

A few more years passed before the bullying got so bad that her father removed her from school and instead taught her from home, truthfully this was probably the best thing he could do for the girl because she blossomed under his teaching. Come JR High she was far smarter then her human counter parts and it had nothing to do with her Faerie blood, She returned to school for JR High though, this time she was ridiculed or bullied because she was grown into her look and was the prettiest girl there. Her father finally went back to work at the Police station, which gave her more freedom to do as she pleased after school hours. She mostly spent this time reading mystery novels.

Truthfully her High School years were pretty average, nothing really exciting happened. It wasnt until she was about twenty five that she realized that she had stopped aging at some point. She tried to hide this from the town and her father but obviously they had already noticed, at her father urging she joined the police force and quickly became one of two homicide detectives. Often working side by side with her father. When he retired she was left as the only homicide detective, and she has been sense. Little under a full twenty years and she is still running the homicide unit and as the older generation slowly retires around her, she is stuck with a newer generation that dont understand or know what she is and question Ivy's seniority.
