Sage just moving into her new house had a lot of boxes she needed to unpack but she didn't want them all on the first level. She walked down the steps of her basement. Flicking on the light. It was a bit of a run down building but she would take care of that while she always enjoyed painting.
She placed them down and looked around her basement. There was a door. In the basement leading to another room in the basement she opened it and there was a man there who was chained to the wall. She looked around for a key or something but somehow she couldn't feel a bit of a weakness in her knees. She didn't know if she should call the police or something.
She ran up the stairs again and went to the tap getting some water in a glass. She ran back down to the man and went on her knees beside him. She wasn't as nervous as she was before at least she could hold the glass still. She looked at him and touched him gently. "Are you okay sir?"
He could only cling to a small scrap of hope that he had left, the hope that he would be free one day and be reunited with his family. If they were still alive.
He had been slumped against the wall he was chained to for weeks, he hadn't the strength to pull anymore. The metal shackles had dug into his skin making his wrist bleed and it was now swollen with infection. His mind was clouded in a white haze, all he had to do was wait until his mortal clock had finished ticking then he would be free.
His eyes were closed, his mouth painfully dry lips cracked and flaking away. His hair was long and his usual stubble that he favoured was now a full beard.
His eyelids fluttered open reluctantly at the sound of an unfamiliar voice " Are you okay sir?" at the contact to his arm Arturo growled as deeply as he could to warn this helpful female from him, he gripped her neck with his hand extending his claws as best as he could in his weakened state. " You find a man chained to a wall in a basement and you ask if he is okay..." Arturo replied sarcastically. He laughed wearily " You better leave...if my master finds you...we will both be dead. Or he will just keep you for blood...I'm just his plaything" he released her neck and groaned in pain.

Sage looked at him as he did his wrapping around her neck. Looking at him she listened as he spoke. "You're master? I just bought this house if there are any more people in my basement i would like to know."
She was shocked to see him chained there. She grabbed a hammer from the tool box there was in the corner and his the chains a few times till it broke.
"Now you tell me if I am being a bad person or some blood thing whatever you just said there." She said looking at him.
He slid the shackle of his wrist wincing in pain as the blood crusted ring fell of his hand, he licked his wrist trying to clean it the best he could. " How long ago did you buy this house? When was it put up for sale?" Perhaps this would give him a better idea of what was going on. His head titled to the side like a dog.
" They didn't tell you who owned the house? You know about vampires? " he added shuffling closer to her so he could sniff her the best he could. In case she was a fake.

Sage glanced at him. "I don't know about vampires. Well I know of them. Do I believe in them no. But you just said he would keep me for blood so I assume vampire now." She said looking at him.
Listening as he spoke she felt bad for him. "I am sorry to hear that. Oh and i just bought the house about two weeks ago. Never spoke to the owner and I don't know how long it has been since its been up. But its pretty run-down. But do you want something to eat or drink?"
She asked concerned for him.
