Arctic Ocean
March 17, 2565 4:00 P.M.

The transport helicopter violently rocked left to right from the icy Arctic winds, it only took the pilot a few seconds to adjust the helicopter's thrusters stabilize the helicopter. The helicopter contained Sword and its members within its cargo hold. The helicopter was the ATX 42 was blade-less, instead it used three thrusters that channeled the air around it from one end and forced it out the other allowing the helicopter to fly without any need of fuel. The thrusters are mentally operated by the pilot through his headgear allowing him to adjust the settings and direction. Their destination was a secret military base in Greenland, a secluded base that was designed to carry on missions without outside interference whether physical, digital, or any other communication systems. The sealed door to the cockpit opened and a large old man stood on the other side of the door, at the first sign of the major Dante stood up taking initiative as he saluted his superior. The major nodded allowing Dante to relax as the major entered the cargo hold and the door sealed itself behind him, the major took a quick examination of the special assault force in front of him before speaking.

"You have been briefed on the mission that was bestowed on you and you know exactly why you're the ones... only ones to be sent to execute this mission," His commanding voice demanded attention and easily carried out through the entire cargo hold. He carried on by saying, "I hate to admit it but you are the best of the best in your field of expertise, so you have the highest chance of success and I along with many other soldiers have accepted that."

He walked around the cargo room examining each soldier as he walked past them he continued,
"Gears will be light, equipment will be light, and you will be geared up for electrical adaptation within the system, communication, and SHIELD aid. Damaging or removing the equipment that is to be given to you will make it hard for SHIELD to assist you or keep tabs on you." He stopped at a nearby window and stared out of it, looking out into the cold dark blue ocean, "that place is like no other, everything you've learned and seen in this world will have no significant aid in that damn world... I'd advise each and everyone of you to forget everything you've learned about your past enemies."

He was now looking back at the soldiers deep into their eyes one by one as if speaking to their soul
"Or else you'll become nothing more but a systematic file that has no hope in ever coming back home," and just like that he stepped towards the sealed door which now opened for him "time for your jump" he said as the large steeled cargo door began opening inch by inch.

Dante turned towards his squad once the major reentered the cockpit
"Okay squad this is it, due to S.S. Base's seclusion the only way to get into it is permitted parachuting and that is exactly what we're going to do." Walking over to the walls of the cargo hold snatched a couple parachutes. He tossed each individual a parachute as he continued "In eta one minute we will be jumping off this helicopter and into the drop off point, landing outside the half mile radius drop off point will result in your death from SR Turrets that are scattered within the ice field." Giving his squad a questioning look he placed on his parachute and began backing up to the now fully opened back door.

He stood at the very edge of the hatch, turning back to them he said
"So make that drop," he ordered as if it was the only option they had "See you on the ground." Without a second of hesitation he fell backwards out of the helicopter. Following the leader's exact command Ava quickly put on her parachute and ran towards the opening and dived into open air head first. Glancing behind him Dante noticed Ava right on his tail, smirking Dante continued his dive to the snow white ground taking mental measurements of the radius of the drop off point. Realizing he was near the edge he focused on a point barely inside the safe zone and deployed his parachute allowing him to go on a slow descent. Once his feet made contact with the ground he dug in the heels if his stained combat boots in order to slow to a stop. Unlatching the parachute he looked over to Ava's landing, if you could call it that since once she made contact with the ground she ended up falling over and being dragged by the parachute as the wind took control. After a couple of rolls in the snow her body finally came to a face done stop. It took her a few seconds to unlatch herself and get on her feet, covered in snow from head to toe. Smirking at her Dante began making a mental estimate of where the center of the landing radius was, getting a close enough guess he made his way to the center and getting on his hands and knees he began brushing away snow.

"A little help here." Dante said as he continued to uncover a steel plating decorated in light blue alphabetic patterns.

Noting all of his commanding officer's words Zeren looked as the commanding officer and a young woman jumped out of the helicopter he got up and noticed, he had to jump, being scared of heights he hesitated, looking down apron the ground he froze to the point of whimpering. He glances at his companions and thinks "I have to jump..." he looked back at the ground nervously until he felt a push almost send him flying down plummeting to the earth at a high speed. After getting to a safe distance from the ground he pulled the parachute and slowly descends to the ground as soon as he hit the ground he drops to prevent him from being swept away by the wind, covered in the front by snow he unhooks and gets up and pulls out a book on parachuting "Did I do that right?" he mutters to himself as he moves forward gazing into his book to see in fact he didn't. Angrily he mutters to himself a he puts the book away and moves forward meeting with the other two who jumped off without hesitation. As he looks at the man whom uncovered the steel plating he then looks at the woman and pulls out the same book to see what he should have done and thinks to himself, "I can't forget all my knowledge from the 'outside world'" he then looks up to see if the others made it, gazing endlessly.

So cold. Even if they were safely entrapped inside, Sari couldn't help but shiver. Just the thought of Artic air was enough to make her want to bury herself in her parka and three-layer tights/sweatpants. She glanced at her team members and frowned. And they are, too, She thought, letting her eyes rove over them.

The tall, muscled man with pretty eyes and the most interestingly colored hair that Sari had seen in a while - which was saying something, considering Anemone was her sister - he was very handsome but - it seemed that Anemone had her eye set on him, if she could tell anything based on the gleam in Anemone's eyes - and the not-so-subtle staring as well.

Seated close to him was 'the ice-queen' as Sari was quickly beginning to call her. There was something about her eyes - something about the way that she sat - very distant, as if she'd prefer to avoid all contact. Sari had met people like her before - cold people. Dead people. They were never worth associating with. All dark and negative - nothing to contribute, and everything she'd said just bouncing back to her. It wasn't as if they were harmful in anyway - just boring.

And Sari didn't like boring.

Her gaze moved on - more quiet, calm people - two guys, one of them blonde, the other dressed completely in black. Sari wasn't sure what her opinion was of either of them, although she noted that the had very nice eyes - she was sure that she'd get to know him better soon.

As her eyes started to travel again, the door to the cockpit slid open, and the tall muscled man stood up as the major walked in. Sari looked at him - he cut an imposing image and had a very attractive voice - not attractive in the 'beautiful' department, but attractive in that it drew Sari in, made her want to listen, even though she knew that the words were fairly useless. He was here to lecture - to talk about how this was a dangerous mission, be careful, give them basic, general instructions that they'd already received more than once.

Her eyes lingered for a moment, and she considered saying something as the tall man stood up and said something to them. Anemone was listening intently, though Sari had to wonder if she was actually listening.

Knowing that look, sister dear is oogling.

Sari hadn't had time to look at the last member before a parachute hit her in the chest. She winced but caught it in her lap.

So they were going to jump.

Anemone skipped over and gave her a hug. Sari wrinkled her nose teasingly, then smiled at her sister before she turned and dove out of the plane. She breathed a light sigh as she equipped herself and then looked outside to see Anemone landing safely. She sighed again, then glanced back at the three still in the helicopter - the two girls -

And the one she was really interested in.

He was tall and well-built with olive-green eyes and messy brown hair grown a bit longer than it should be. His entire forehead was hidden. Still, that and the intrinsic - grace - that accompanied all his movements made her smile.

She stood at the edge, waved at the three still in the helicopter, said, "See you down," with a flirty smile, and then threw herself out of the plane.

It took several moments for her to get orientated and then another moment to judge the right time to deploy the parachute. She then lifted her eyes and gazed at the horizon, using that to time the approach and land without falling - it was something a friend had taught her once.

Her knees wobbled as she hit, but she didn't fall. She removed the parachute and then shook herself, before readjusting her clothes and making her way over to her sister. She nestled her head briefly on her sister's shoulder and then asked the tall man, who was brushing at something on the ground, "What're you looking for ~? Do you need - help?"

Held up in one of the corner seats, Kai half-listening, glared at the man speeching about as if everyone here was one a dead or alive mission. Maybe he was right, and for the technician even more, since he had little to no knowledge of this D.W.. Guessed all information'd be patched through once they were there.

As long as they'd land fast, cause boredom was inevitable this way. Slight boredom, in fact, maybe there was fun to be had this trip. Especially the manner in which they'd enter the base.

ā€œParachutes, ya wan' us ta jump to our death, don'ya?ā€ Kai stated dryly, rising up from his lazy position to clip the chute on his fragile torso. He'd remember his father did this kind of thing for entertainment, although Kai himself never had the chance to do such an interesting thing. ā€œSuppose everythin' has to be a first try, no?ā€

The boss and second-in-command had already made the jump, so it was for the peons to jump on their own will. ā€œIf ya spot me face down in snow, pull me out. Please?ā€ And with that statement, Racket had finished buckling up the chute, and slowly approached the jump spot. ā€œGuess I'll be seein' ya all on ta ground, no? If not, 'twas nice workin' with y'all fer this short moment.ā€

Kai let himself fall freely into open air, the last thoughts he had were something between, 'Dear god I'll die!, and 'I should've brought meself a winter-coat.'. At least before reminding himself to stay focused, and not try to enter 'Trillion-bullets-through-your-body zone', or manage to end up like an Australian pancake.

After some accidental frontal-, and backflips, Kai moved his body to a flat plank, vaguely spotting the 'Not die' mark he was to land on. Flipping the switch, the chute launched itself out of the bag, a large white cloth now covering the, Damn it is cold mid-air! shivering technician.

All that was left was to steer himself to keep a straight down-spiral on the mark. Wind was heavy, and rather forceful on moving him a few inches further away. Ah, as long as he didn't end up like Swiss cheese, every spot would work.

A few inches from the ground, Kai allowed his legs to be loose, allowing him to land safely on his knees and pushing himself off the snowy ground with his hands as he touched solid mass. After that, removing the chute-bag was a tad bit of a problem... 'Twas not all bad. Glad he survived without any major scratches though... ā€œAnd it be still damn'd cold.ā€ Was Kai's immediate reaction as he pulled the collar of his jacket over his exposed neck, walking to where the boss and the second-in-command were.

Sitting in the back was a certain scientist who looked bored of their situation, his narrow eyes watching all of his peers. Longing for his dose of nicotine, a soft sigh escaped Alberto's lips as he turned his head to talk to whoever was sitting next to him. "Vould you like to 'ear zis funny joke?" he paused, but continued without an answer, "Okay. So two men vere lost in zis fores' an-" Before he could continue, he was interrupted by the authority filled voice of their 'leaders', causing him to stop and stare with intrigue.

He was tempted to payback the man at the front by interrupting his oh so wonderful pep talk, but his heart wasn't in it.

His attention was perked by the idea of freefalling (with a parachute of course) down to the land where he could die from a simple mistake. A cheerful salute was given to all those that had gone off before him, but one in particular seemed to be looking straight at him as she left. Unused to such flirty behavior, his face turned beat red at her tone of voice, watching in interest as the girl dropped backwards. 'Zat femme was a bi' cute, ah?' he mused to himself. Once he realized what he had just thought, his face turned an even brighter shade of red and he was furiously shaking his head to get rid of his 'impure' thoughts.

Soon enough, he'd managed to fight back the blush, and was once again focusing on the task on hand. Shooting up with a jump, he took large strides towards the large door, feeling the pressure of wind against him. "I vill be goin' nex', I persume?" he asked with a grin that made him seem like he was up to no good. Clicking the parachute into place, he waved at whoever was left in the helicopter before diving head first.

Only a few seconds later, a loud, manly scream (yeah right) could be heard.

Unable to understand the fear of dying, he enjoyed himself for the first few minutes of free falling, feeling the air press against his body in a way that soothed his slight worries of the mission. He twisted, turned, and over all looked like he was going to die if he didn't look at the ground anytime soon. Ecstatic, he turned once more so his body was spread out like a star, only to realize just how close he was to the ground. "Oh mon Dieu!" the French man cried out, frantically tugging at his parachute so he wouldn't right out flatten himself to the ground.

Suddenly, his chute released and Alberto felt like he was ready to strangle something from the fright he had just experienced.

Floating down, he made sure to sulk and pout about his experience as much as he could before anybody could see him. It would do him no good if his team believed he was just a childish brat which, surely, he isn't. Searching for the rest of his team, he was relieved to see them in the distance, and looked down, seeing that there would only be about a minute or two before touchdown. That was when he noticed something very, very bad.

"Stop, stop! Vind, push me zat way! Oh mon Dieu!" he panicked once more, seeing how close close he was to becoming very hole-y.

The winds tugged him back and forward, bordering the edge in a way that was tempting him to just scream his darn heart out. "Luke, I am sorry for every stupid zing I 'ave eveh done." he squeezed his eyes shut, imagining that if he died, he'd rather not see the turrets firing at him and all the blood splattering out. Before he could die the lamest of deaths, a wind shoved against him harshly, causing him to sputter and open his eyes in surprise. He felt his body protest as he fell to the ground, rolling and rolling.

"Vhy is zis place so cold?" he shot out of the snow, shivering and rubbing at his clothing, "Zhe place is even named Greenland. Silly name."

He took a moment to compose himself. Then, he walked towards the rest of the group, all the while tugging at his sleeves and fixing his tie. Quick to check all his belongings, he was delighted to see his cigarettes had survived the fall. "Oh, 'ow I love you, cigarettes!" he called to the air, taking one and lighting it. Sucking in the cancer-inducing smoke, he felt calmness wash over him, before he exhaled and watched the smoke leave his lips. A bright smile mixed in with his features as his renewed excitement pushed him to jog over to the group.

Seeing the flirtatious girl from earlier, he blushed, but was able to push it down and hide the red on his face (perhaps they'd assume he was cold - which he was). He waved, excited, "Is a miracle, guys! I survived!"

{(Note: Pretend this happened before Esana's post.)}

Anemone, of course, wasnā€™t paying the slightest bit of attention to the guy that was lecturing them. What was he ā€“ commander? Major? Either way, he was probably just giving the generic speech about how their mission would be extremely dangerous and such - the typical speech made to scare the agents so that theyā€™d obey the authoritiesā€™ every order. Sheā€™d heard it a million times, and did it ever help her? Not really. In fact, she was pretty sure she performed better when she wasnā€™t bored to death on the first day. She wasnā€™t quite bored, however as her mind was on a much larger interest that she just couldnā€™t seem to tear her mind off of.

Damn. How the hell is he so hot?

Okay, okay, so she really shouldnā€™t be focusing on such a thing on the first day, but seriously. The muscles, the eyes, the hair. If she made half the impression on him as he made on her, she would be set. She looked down at her own outfit, which composed of a tight, off-the-shoulder red mini-dress with an asymmetrical hem that reached about a third of the way down her thigh at the highest point and two thirds at the lowest point, thigh-high boots with three-inch platform heels, and a sports jacket with red stripes. Even though the jacket kind of ruined her elegant outfit, she figured it was necessary for the cold weather. She straightened herself slightly and put her weight on one leg, a small, confident smirk appearing on her face as the lecturer left the room.

Oh my god, heā€™s talking. His voice is so...

Of course, Anemone didnā€™t listen to his actual instruction, just his voice. Apparently, he was their team leader or something. It took her a much longer time than normal to register the fact that something was being thrown at her, but that only meant that she noticed the parachute halfway through its flight. Moments later, four people had already jumped off.

ā€œWell, sis, Iā€™ll see you when we get down there.ā€ She hugged Sari and equipped her parachute, taking a perfect dolphin dive into the air below. The initial acceleration made her adrenaline rush and she took a moment to spread her arms out and enjoy the feeling of wind, letting her parachute out dangerously late. Once her parachute was safely opened, Anemone closed her eyes and enjoyed the float down, despite the heavy wind blowing against her.

As she landed, she stumbled a bit, catching herself before falling down and embarrassing herself. Readjusting her dress and jacket, she walked towards the leader with the most model-like gait possible in the snow. ā€œWhoo! That was fun, can we try it again?ā€ She smiled cheerfully at the leader, a slight spark of challenge in her eyes.

Arctic Ocean
March 17, 2565 4:07 P.M.

Dante continued to brush violently at the snow and occasionally brushing away his white out of place bangs, when he noticed a pair of small pale hands partially covered in long gloves assisting him he smirked. Immediately knowing who those hands belonged to Dante looked up to witness Ava in the same position as he was doing the exact same thing, just covered in snow. He also witnessed his team come down for a landing some landed fairly well and others simply failed at it, this brought a smile to his face. He made a mental note of each individual within his squad and the young pretty brunette that had the striking purple eyes making her perfect landing, he could learn something from her. Once she and the dark haired female made their landing he noticed they were making their way towards them so he straightened up with his knees still on the ground he patted off the snow on his hands which felt like a thousand pricking needles.

ā€œWhoo! That was fun, can we try it again?ā€ He couldn't help but to smirk slightly as he watch the dark haired female move in such a fashion towards him. He was aware of her gawking gaze in the helicopter and could tell by the way she seemed to direct all attention to him that she wanted something from him, but he was so used to war and being around males or male-like females that he wasn't sure how to read the situation. He simply noted in the back of his mind to keep an eye on her.

"Jumping out of a helicopter thousands of feet off the ground with the likely chance that these extremely outdated parachutes will malfunction?" He asked as he crossed his arms in order to drive his point but mainly to warm his hands, "yes we'll have plenty of those chances, shoot a few of them might be without parachutes."

"What're you looking for ~? Do you need - help?"
The Brunette's question caught him off guard so he simply stared into her eyes for a few moments before realizing she asked him a question, but what truly caught him off guard was the fact that she had the same unusual purple eye color as the dark haired one.

Dropping his left arm to his side and scratching his head with the right he answered, "Well, you see I'm looking for this little compartment that is supposed to..." he allowed his voice to trail off as he he stared down at the spot Ava was brushing. "Actually Ava has found it" He quickly said causing Ava to stand up and back off as Dante took over, uncovering a light blue graving of an 'S'. "Now we wait for the others to arrive" He said as he straightened up again and looked in the direction of the rest of his squad that were making their landing. Ava watched Dante try his best to watch the rest of his squad make their way to him but the few bits of bangs were interfering with his field of view. She recalled memories of him fighting those bangs and every once a while to solve the issue he had to chop or trim them. She was pulled out of memory lane when the familiar sound of a body hitting and rolling in the snow reached her ears. She turned towards the source only to realize it was that one man that had weird written all over him, he was a very strange man but she couldn't help but to like his accent.

"Looks like luck saved us both" Ava said to the Frenchman.

"Alright, down we go," Dante said as he reached a hand down to the 'S' he uncovered. Feeling around he managed to find five small indents in the steel only large enough to allow his fingertips but once he placed his fingers in position the ground began to groan and creak. Slowly standing up Dante brushed the snow off his legs as the half mile radius they were within began vibrating and finally lowering into the earth in a spiral motion. The walls the large platform descended from had deep spiral grooves in them revealing how the platform was able to rise and fall. Dante took this time to walk away from his squad, with his back to them he pulled out a switchblade and perfectly trimmed the few strands of bangs that bothered his vision. Once he was done the platform came to a halt within a large open room designed like a hangar, it contained land vehicles and armed personnel. Noticing all the eyes that were on them Dante quickly hide his switch blade.

"Ah, the squad is here," A booming voice came from behind Ava, before Ava could take action Dante ran to her just in time to catch her hand that wielded the black dagger she unsheathed from her thigh. The dagger stopped inches from an old man's head. "Wow, maybe next time I will refrain from sneaking up on you." The old man said as the little color he had drained from his face as he staggered backwards.

"Yes, if you cherish you're life that would be best," Ava said once Dante let go of her hand.

Pushing his glasses higher up the bridge of his nose,
"Yes, well I'm Dr. Helix the creator of CHIPS."

"Yes, we know,"
Dante said as he watched Ava sheathe her dagger once again and walk a few feet away with her back to them.

"Well, then we'll finish introductions later, for now follow me," He said once he collected himself. Without another word he turned his back to them and began walking down the walkway that connected to the platform and led across the room to a small tower with armed guards. The guards escorted them to the first checkpoint which contained more armed guards and large turrets aimed dead center of their chests. From there Dr. Helix began leading them through multiple checkpoints. "We have ordered multiple tools, weapons, armored gear that you might find useful that is if you would like to use other equipment besides the ones you've brought. Also, whatever you wish to bring you must have on your person otherwise we will have to hold onto it. You also must know that once you're in you will remain in there for as long as the mission is in operation which could last for years, unfortunately. Here we are." The group was standing in front of a large vault door, Dr. Helix walked on a scanner station which scanned his entire body before the vault door began opening.

Dr. Helix led the group within the room before the vault door closed and sealed itself. The floor, ceiling, and walls was covered in the same designs as the platform on the surface but the alphabets were lighting up at random. The wall directly across the entrance was covered in multiple flat screen wall mounted monitors connected to two computers, one empty and the other was occupied by a blond female. To the right of the entrance was a large man in military uniform accompanied by two other soldiers. The attention was directed at the group when they entered the room, the large soldier was decorated in multiple medals some signifying his rank as a General. Upon laying eyes on him Dante and Ava stood at attention and saluted the general.

"At ease," The General said in his deep husky voice, "I wanted to see the squad we were sending in with my own eyes." Pausing at that he examined each person with a hint of doubt within his eyes before walking past them to leave, "Good luck."

With that he left leaving and the blond at the computer jumped to her feet which caused her to exit out of the holographic applications that emitted from her suit. "So this is the group," She said as she made her way to them and circled them once then went back to her computer, "I guess it'll do."

"What would you rather have?" Dante asked with a bit of irritation showing on his face.

"Don't mind her, she's always like that," Dr. Helix interrupted Lilian before she could answer Dante's question, "Now is the perfect time for introductions." Placing his index finger to his chest Dr. Helix began, "I'm Dr. Helix the creator of CHIPS and the one that will running the operation."

"I'm Lilian," The blond at the computer said as she waved her hand at them as she continued reading data off the monitors.

"She will be the making sure everything runs smoothly, she's our hacker and the one will that will be taking care of you while you're within the system." Dr. Helix added.

"My name is Dante Raize," Dante began as he made his way to the television that displayed what seemed to be millions of stars all connected by a light blue line that connected to a large dot in the center. "A lieutenant in the Russian army and now the squad leader of this team."

Crossing her arms and leaning against the vault door Ava quickly said, "Ava Iron, second-in-command."

Dr. Helix turned towards the others awaiting their answers.

ā€œAll be good 'n well we'all survived, introductions inside. Please?ā€ The Australian was shivering to his bones, as he was doing even before the drop. Why not a tropical island, or at least some place neutral, like all hidden bases were?

Heh, Kai took a few moments to observe the crew he was going to work with. He had already taken note of the serious-business boss, and the cold second-in-command. The others were more then jack's of all trades to him at the moment. Because he couldn't be arsed to figure out who had what kind of job on this mission, anyway. That the majority were all upbeat and excited about this whole thing was enough.

One of the females in the group had even asked if they'd be getting a second jump like this. ā€œBut without ta shivering cold, heh.ā€ After everyone had calmed down from the rushing jump, And of course checking for any, Swiss-Cheese-to-be holes. they'd be preparing themselves to enter the base.

ā€œWow, maybe next time I will refrain from sneaking up on you.ā€

ā€œYes, ye'd be better off I'll wager.ā€ Kai retorted, his expression both shocked, and surprised that near-violent reactions were already present. ā€This ain't a best start, is it?ā€ He questioned himself, gently glaring at his own hands, that had gone to a vague blueish colour from the cold. ā€œOi, I'll wager it'd be warm and cosy down 'ere.ā€ A hinted tone in his voice, Racket wasn't probably the only organic life form that needed a good warm-up.

The old scientist, who had introduced himself as Dr. Helix, walked back to the entrance. The boss, and his second-in-command following behind him. ā€œI better be keepin' my bloody distance from 'er. Don' wanna end up with a dagger in me face.ā€ Kai stated, softly, but just loud enough for anyone nearby to hear him.

The base was, least to say, amazing. Everything appeared to be planned out into the littlest of details. Defences, both organic and artificial (Turrets.). The doc even mentioned they'd stacked on provisions should the group need 'em. Though Kai would take his chances with the devices he had brought.

ā€œEveryone be lookin' at us weirldy. We some kind o' showcase er somethin'? I feel like a monkey...ā€ Both the general who was guarding the vault door, and the female hacker, Who Kai thought had quite the lovely appearance, I might add. were examining the group like a suspicious package that had just arrived.

ā€œSo this is the group, I guess it'll do.ā€ The woman stated rather bored, if not unsatisfied with the appearance of the SWORD members.

ā€œI'll be doin' my best ta change yer opinion, Love.ā€ The technician retorted, he was the best damned technician they could find in the whole world, of course! Or else he wouldn't be here. Same went for the others in the group...

Introduction time, it seemed. So, the lovely hacker lady was called Lilian, Kai'd remember that. Dante, was the name of their leader. Well, he had that 'Leadership' appearance going on, seemed to have lots of experience with leading groups as well. They'd be in good hands.

The cold, and lets us not forget 'One-who-greets-with-knife-to-yer-face', was named Ava. ā€œYep, she be on me 'Keep-yer-distance' list.ā€ Kai whispered to himself...

Guess it was up to him to introduce himself next, no? The technician stepped forward, a bright smile forming on his face as he gave everyone present a two fingered salute.

ā€œTa name be Kai Crosshaw, Racket ta everyone I work with. Best damn'd technician on Earth, pleased ta meet ya all!ā€ He gave everyone his wide smile, before taking a step back to his original spot and listen in to everyone else introducing themselves...

Scratching sheepishly behind his head at the stare he received, he offered a bright smile to the lady. "Zat be true, ah?" he replied, his voice heavily coated with his French accent, "Is truly a miracle." Another cool breeze brushed over him causing him to shiver, furiously rubbing at his arms as if that would somehow warm him up. Though he did not speak up on his thoughts, he could definitely agree with the Australian man.

Cautious, he watched as the leader pulled up the hatch-like entrance, half expecting something to jump out and kill them all. It was a slight relief when nothing happened, and he stuck close to the group as they made their way down, watching as the leader naturally went to the front as he fell back near the Australian man once again. He looked cheerful enough, unlike the other battle-ridden two.

"Ah, the squad is here," a voice rang out, causing the man to jump in surprise, only to watch as the lady from earlier was about to kill that man with a dagger in hand. He wasn't sure if he should be scared of her quick action to kill or be in awe of her fast reflexes. Shaking his head, he nodded at the introduction of the scientist, trying to hide the spark in his eyes. The man interested him - his level of science was on almost equal levels as his, if not higher.

He was shocked out of his stupor when he heard the man near him speak, not too quietly, "I better be keepin' my bloody distance from 'er. Don' wanna end up with a dagger in me face." It took all of his great restraint not to burst out into amused laughter on the spot, but he couldn't help and slip a little chuckle in there. His eyes twinkled as he leaned over towards the blonde man, his grin as amused as ever. "Zat isn't ze mos' polite of zings to say about a young femme, monsieur," he said, slipping in another chuckle, "zough I, ah, cannot say I disagree. Is a good zing she is on our side."

With that said and done, he followed after the group, careful not to get too excited about his surroundings. 'Am I even allowed to smoke in zis high-tech place?' he mused, but decided to keep to his nicotine until they told him to stop. It wasn't like anybody had mentioned something bad about his cigarettes anyway. Once again, he shook his head and listened to Dr. Helix speak about what would happen. They walked onward until they reached a room with several unique designs all over the surfaces. A blonde lady was paying attention to computers and there were three soldiers dressed in uniform standing off to the side of the entrance.

Aware of the doubtful look in the general's eyes, he stood straighter and forced himself not to glare back. It would not leave a good impression. 'Since ven 'ave I been one for good impresions?' he thought, before he let himself glare straight at the man who eyed them like spoiled meat in a fridge. "Is zhere a problem?" he muttered under his breath, watching the man leave. Relieved by the lack of staring, he relaxed, only to tense up once more as the blonde lady at the screens stood up and eyed them, about as doubtful as the general earlier.

ā€œSo this is the group, I guess it'll do." she had said, making Alberto frown around his cigarette as he puffed out in frustration. The slightest of pouts settled on his lips as he ignored the rather busty blonde. Once he calmed down, he tuned in to listen to the introduction, distastefully eyeing the so-called hacker, but he let a smile spread on to his face anyway. She wouldn't be so arrogant if she didn't have some sort of skill to back it up.

He eyed each person as they introduced themselves - Dr. Helix, Lilian, Dante, Ava, and Kai. The introduction of the last man made him relax a lot more after being stared at in such doubt. Nodding, he followed Kai's example and took a step forward, making sure to bow in a dramatic and exaggerated way. "Bonjour, Mesdemoiselles et Messieurs. I am Alberto Leroy. Is a pleasure to be, ah, working wiz you all as ze scientist for SWORD." he looked up to reveal the brightest of grins (and a slight glare at Lilian as if it were directed towards her) "I, ah, 'ope ve vill all ge' along, oui?"

Finished with his introduction, he took a step back and glanced at the others.

Noting his comrades and the chats between them Zeren sort-of felt left out he usually didn't feel such emotions because he alienated himself but he actually felt that and was surprised. He noticed the man and woman trying to find something and finally found it he watched as everyone looked round at the building and noting that others were watching them 'Great we're the center of attention' he thought to himself as he watched as the woman greeted the older man with a dagger in his face 'edgy much?' he noted under his breath as he heard the Australian man's comment and shrugged it off. He then saw as they moved forward and entered a guarded room and saw what he thought as a general. Then noticing the blonde come from her screens to meet them hearing the comment of 'I guess it'll do.' He glared at the statement as he glared at her 'well thats rude' the thought as he heard the others introducing themselves he silently walked up and quietly said "I'm Zeren Remo if you have an injury I'm here to help..." and walked back to where he was standing and quietly went back to his books.

Anemone turned back to watch her sister land, patting her on the head lightly when she rested her head on her shoulder. She then directed her attention towards everyone else, taking the liberty to chuckle a bit at the less refined landings.

ā€Yes, weā€™ll have plenty of those chances. Shoot, a few of them might be without parachutes.ā€ For a moment, Anemone completely forgot about her interested towards their team leader. After all, she prioritized most things based on the potential fun they could bring, and jumping out of the sky was definitely more fun than just another hot guy. Her smile widened into a full-out grin, ā€œWonderful. Iā€™ll look forward to it.ā€

ā€But without ta shivering cold, heh.ā€

Anemone blinked at the other man who spoke, one who didnā€™t look nearly as comfortable with jumping in the first place. She made a quick mental assessment of him ā€“ he wasnā€™t quite bad-looking, she supposed. Didnā€™t look particularly tough, though. ā€œAh, but the snow is so pretty, isnā€™t it?ā€ Anemone bent down to gather a handful of snow, shaping it into a ball and tossing it up and down twice before tossing it lightly in a direction where there werenā€™t any people. She didnā€™t want to risk using her full strength, since it was easier to pull muscles in cold weather.

With that, she looked away, frowning disapprovingly as she saw the leader trim his hair out of the corner of her eyes. How reckless ā€“ cutting his hair without looking at the mirror to see if it looked okay!

She felt a slight urge to roll around on the snow to vent her frustration, but decided that it wouldnā€™t be the best choice. Instead, she attached herself to her sister, whispering, ā€œDid you see that?ā€ She made a face, ā€œHe cut it! Without even looking at the mirror! Really, if he werenā€™t so effingā€¦ā€ She decided to end her whisper-rant prematurely, however, as she saw one of the women with them threaten an old man who had recently arrived with a knife. From there, she simply followed everyone else, ignoring the old manā€™s speech. She looked at the collection of weapons, frowning slightly; she never did like guns. Too complicated. Well, at least they were the ones with these guns and not the enemies.

ā€œAt ease. I wanted to see the squad we were sending in with my own eyes.ā€ Anemone had no idea that they were supposed to be standing so rigidly in the first place. Her posture was somewhat similar to the one she had before, with all of her weight on one foot and a hand on her hip. She matched the generalā€™s gaze when his eyes rested on her, one eyebrow arched slightly.

ā€So this is the group. I guess itā€™ll do.ā€ That comment definitely attracted Anemoneā€™s attention. She turned her head to see a blond woman with way too much bust for her own good. How did people move with all of that extra weight, anyways? She was about to reply, but the two men she had spoken to before had already done so, so she decided against it.

Lillian. Well, she had a pretty name, at least. Though considering that she was a hacker, Anemone had no idea what she was doing in armor. If she were stuck to the computer all day, she would at least look good being there.

ā€œMy name is Dante Raize.ā€ Anemoneā€™s eyebrows shot upwards, and she did her best to suppress a chuckle. She had worked with someone named Dante before ā€“ he was a spy for the Japanese government. He was also one of the most amazingly ditzy agents she had ever met. Experienced, but ditzy. Now sheā€™d end up thinking about him every time she looked at Dante, hotness or not.

Anemone directed her attention to the others as they introduced themselves. Ava, Kai, Alberto, and Zeren. Wonderful. They all had relatively memorable names. At that, she stepped forward herself, ā€œAnemone Breuer, your driver,ā€ she said, accompanying the bounce in her voice with a two-fingered salute and a wink, ā€œBut you guys can call me Monmon if you want~ I respond to that faster, anyways.ā€ She directed her attention towards everyone in the room, making sure not to make eye contact with one person ā€“ namely, Dante ā€“ for longer than the rest. She might have even spent a little less time on Dante. Oh well. Still, she couldnā€™t help but smile at his name once again as she stepped back.

Sari watched, semi-interested as the leader person started to explain, then stopped as he looked down at the ice queen and saw that she had uncovered a letter - S - carved in blue. S, Sari thought absently. For me. She smiled at the narcissistic thought, then glanced over her shoulder at the sound of a very intriguing accent.

A smile spread across Sariā€™s face. Her little cutie had come down ā€“ and it seemed that he was very happy with the fact that he was still alive. It made him even cuter, and it was nice to have a guy around who wasnā€™t all about bravery and courage ā€“ weaknesses were good. They always provided a conversation starter, and they made for excellent entertainment. Teasing was never off the table.

Before Sari could respond, the ice queen said something. Sari looked at her with a raised eyebrow and then grinned. Ooo ~ competition? How fun ~ She waited a moment, then directed her grin at the man, who seemed mildly windblown and red-cheeked. ā€œAw, Iā€™m so proud of you.ā€ She widened her smile and tilted her head, a bit flirtatious. ā€œMaybe next ā€“ā€

The ground started to shake.

ā€œOh ā€“ dear,ā€ Sari said, in a voice much too light for the situation as she slid her feet further apart to steady herself. Her attention flickered away from the cutie, and she fixed her attention on the leader guy, who had just lifted the steel up. Everything trembled as the earth began to fall away, something that almost unnerved Sari at first, but the feeling quickly passed as she saw the very consistent shape that disappeared down ā€“ a neat spiral, a bit tight, but unmistakably, a spiral.

ā€¦How fancy.

She watched, bemused, as the leader guy trimmed the bangs of his hair, and listened, amused to her sisterā€™s reaction to it. ā€œIā€™m sorry, Monmon. Just remember that he is hot, and try not to massacre him?ā€ Sari gave her sister a light kiss on the cheek, and then turned her head to glance at the sight that had made Anemone stop short in the middle of a sentence.

Ice queen had almost stabbed someone ā€“ an old man, who identified himself as Dr. Helix, the creator of CHIPS.

So she really does have issues. How boring. The ice queen quickly slid from Sariā€™s mind as she walked down the stairs behind her sister. At the bottom was a large vault door. Sari watched as Dr. Helix walked on to a scanner station, his whole body glowing faintly before the vault doors opened.

On the other side, flanked by two other men, was a large soldier, who, Sari assumed by the badges that he had on his uniform, was probably pretty high up. Of course, none of that really mattered to her until he began to talk.

Oh, hot voice. Hot voice, hot voice, hot voice. She blinked up at him as he inspected them ā€“ and eventually her ā€“ and then walked out. Glancing at him, she restrained the urge to call ā€˜marry meā€™ to him and turned her attention back to the room at large.

Aside from the soldiers, there was one other person in the room, who now got up and came over to examine them. Sariā€™s eyebrows raised immediately. She was beautiful, and judging by her words, a bit acidic too. Lovely combination, Sari thought, and then, Lilian. Hacker. She smiled. Iā€™m going to have fun with you, Lilian.

She lingered a moment on the hot hacker and then turned her attention to the leader guy ā€“ Dante Raize. Her mouth twitched, and she glanced at Anemone. The name ā€˜Danteā€™ held a special ring for both of them. She glanced by at the current Dante and tried to imagine him with an innocent air and wide eyes.

Oh dear Lordā€¦ Sari had to take a moment to pull her own cheeks to stop the laughter before she could concentrate on the next introduction

It was the ice queen ā€“ Ava. Boring person. Boring name. Not surprising

Then, the blonde. Kai Crosshaw. And a pretty accent. Fun ~

And then, her cutie. Her eyes widened in delight as she realized that he was French ā€“ something confirmed both by the accent and by his words. Alberto Leroyā€¦ Sari felt her mouth stretching in a smile, and her mind began to run in circles so fast that she almost missed Zerenā€™s name. Almost, but not quite. She never missed interesting names.

Sari smiled at Anemoneā€™s introduction and then stepped up herself and gave a mocking bow to the whole group. ā€œNice to meet you. You all have ā€“ lovely names,ā€ She said, keeping a semi-smile on her lips as her eyes flickered from person to person, lingering briefly on Dante ā€“ Oh dear Lord, this is going to make me laugh everytimeā€¦ ā€“ and Alberto. ā€œI am Sari Breuer. Tracker.ā€ She let her smile spread for a moment, then bowed her head again and stepped back into line, slipping an arm around her sisterā€™s waist and lowering her head onto her shoulder.

"Now that we've got that out of the way, time to gear you up," The doctor said as he jumped to his feet and walked over to the free computer. Snatching up a silver suitcase from the chair he placed it on the computer desk, "I will be injecting you with millions of nano-cells, this will allow us to be able to locate you at all times, assist yah, and disguise you form the system," he said as he opened the case revealing empty syringes and a container filled with silver liquid. "Even though this will allow you to move freely without any fear of being detected, being scanned directly will blow you cover so be careful of scanning files," He continued as he filled each syringe.

"And that's where I have to come in and save your ass, so please try not to make my job any harder than it is." Lilian said from behind her seat as she rapidly inputted codes within the computer.

"So, this is it?" Dante asked as the doctor rolled up his sleeve revealing scars of previous injections, when suspicion spread across the doctor's face, he answered "When you're the military's property they do as they please with you, I'm used to it."

With a nod the doctor continued, "Trust me this will be more than enough, especially if Lilian is as good as they say."

"You better believe it," Lilian barked as she spun her chair to glare at the doctor before turning back around making her pigtails to spin a circle.

After injecting each member within the squad with the liquid, Dr. Helix walked over to the corner of the room next to the free computer and traced an invisible line on the wall causing the wall to groan then slowly open vertically.
"Within this room is the chamber that will send you into the system."

"In that case me and Ava will be going first to make sure everything goes smoothly."
Dante said as he and Ava was already on their way to the chambers.

"Actually, hold on I forgot to give you two your gears," Dr. Helix said as he quickly walked towards to what seemed to a large sealed container with something written in Russian on the top. Quickly opening it the doctor backed off to allow Dante and Ava access to it. Dante went first, his gear consisted of futuristic knightly armor, taking off his black coat and shirt revealing the black muscle shirt he wore underneath. Riding himself of his weapons as well he begun with the legs, boots, chest plate, then gauntlets. He flexed his arms and legs then slid his sword into the sheath attached to the back of the chest plate he finally moved out the way to allow Ava to get her gear. Ava on the other hand completely stripped down to the under armor that clung to every inch of her body then she went on to do the same procedure to put on her armor that resembled Dante's just more feminine. Nodding to each other they placed their right hand on the orb on their armor located between their shoulder blades; Dante's orb glowed red causing parts of the armor to glow red and Ava's orb glowed blue causing parts of her armor to glow blue. Immediately right on activation the armor tightened pressing against their skin but had custom ventilation and stuffing for comfort.

"If you want there is more gear within the container, but warning the language is in Russian," Dante commented before walking into the chamber room with Ava behind him. Upon them entering the circular completely white chamber, the doctor walked over to the free computer and began inputting some codes causing the door to seal once again.

"Do not panic simply and stay still," Dr. Helix spoke into the mic.

"The world is still untouched, so it's safe to commence," Lilian said out loud as she entered some codes, spinning around in her chair Lilian pointed to the large television and her voice began speaking within everyone's mind, "So you know those millions of dots are Digital Worlds people created, as you can see they are all connected to the one yellow dot, your destination CHIPS, in the center by a green line which are bridges. But we cannot send you into that area without being detected so we have to place you in a Digital Outer World untouched by the virus which are the blue ones which are the ones furthest away from the center and entering CHIPS through one of those bridges from an unaffected Digital Outer World is a no, no. It's as if the virus knows about our plans and have each bridge that connects an unaffected Digital Outer World under tight surveillance so we have to place you onto an unaffected Digital Out World then create a bridge to a affected Digital Outer World so that you can take that unguarded bridge to CHIPS."

"Sorry for that, I didn't warn you that our communication with you was going to be telepathic," The doctor's voice spoke within their minds this time, "And vice versa you can speak to us or your fellow squad members either as a whole or privately. Now to commence."

The chamber began vibrating and the air began to be vacuumed out of the room through tiny pinholes in the ceiling, lack of air caused Ava to stumble onto her hands and knees and Dante to slam his back against the wall both of them trying to gasp for air but even the air within their lungs were being taken away. Before their vision could black out their body began to succumb to a feeling of millions of hooks being sunk into their skin. The feeling intensified for a few seconds before they began witnessing their body being destroyed one cell at a time at rapid speeds to the point that Dante raised his right hand up only to witness it seemingly to blow away as if he was made of sand until their entire body was completely no more. The walls within the chamber turned a bright light blue then returned to its original white before opening the sealed door once again awaiting its next victim.

Turning to the others the Dr. Helix said, "You're next..."

ā€œWhat a brilliant team...!ā€ Kai muttered to himself with a smile. He feared they'd all be serious business people. Glad they were not.

A French Scientist, Alberto, obvious to note his origins by his accent. Decent guy, amusing to say the least. They'd get along just fine, no?

Then there was Zeren, a shy fellow in Kai's eyes. He needed to lighten up a tad, or maybe try to be less distracted by books. Good gracious, mother of god! And Kai thought he'd be the most nerdy of 'em all.

The sisters appeared to be the most... active out of all the members. And by active, trying to suck up all the damn'd attention they could find. Well, they certainly had Kai's. 'specially the one with the most out of place nickname.

ā€œMonmon ya say? I really like ta know how ya thought that one up, Love. Name o' yer bunny pet, I'll wager?ā€ Kai retorted, barely managing to hold his laugh, though the wide grin on his faced said enough. Laugh from amusement though, not at all 'I-am-currently-making-fun-o'-yer-weirdness' kind of laugh.

As all introductions were over with, the doc began to preach once more. Well, preach, and inject everyone with a weird silver liquid. Nano-cells he called them. Kai remember reading about those, kind of like A.Is although no real active-function, besides allowing someone else to track them form an external device. Computers, PDAs, etc.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Lilian spoke through Kai's mind. Did she possess some kind of mental ability? No, wait...

The Australian scratched the back of his head. Of course! Those nano-cells. They probably allowed The Hacker, Doc, and everyone on the team to communicate. Telepathically, of sorts.

A large-screen flickered on, showing a whole bunch of dots, lines and zero explanation. The map of D.W. It seemed, he'd do well to memorize it. ā€œSo, yer little blue dots be near-safe zones. Yer green lines connectors. And ta big yellow blimp be ta centre.ā€ Kai muttered to himself. Easy enough to remember.

After that brief explanation, Kai made sure his bag was fully stacked with the stuff he needed. ā€œMe laptop, glove, potential fixin' tools. Aye.ā€

ā€œYou're next...ā€

Kai smiled widely. He hadn't really witnessed the zapping away of the Boss, and miss edgy, (No pun intended.) but better to get it over with, am I right?

The room began shining a bright blue, slowly but surely pinching each and every cell of Kai's body away from him. The first bits felt like a lobster stinging your butt (Hard!), though as the decomposing continued, the Australian became more and more excited about this whole system. Almost enjoyed that he'd be losing his body for a brief second. He'd definitely learn many things during this misssion...

Hearing everyone's introductions and the professor ramble on (Which none of this made much sense to him...) Zeren felt a slight prick from the needle administering the nano-bots into his veins and arteries, he then heard the telepathy and questioned it, but stopped because of the others probably heard it. (Plus he heard Dr. Helix explain the telepathy) He then noticed where he was probably going to land and where he was going he took a quick sketch in a notepad he conveniently had and made sure it was right. Then he walked over to the equipment and grabbed a random assortment of armored clothing and changes into it. He then put the actual armor on putting the vest over his messenger bag straps and then attaching the leg armor. He seemed prepared except for a weapon. He thought he'd need one so he picked up a good old .357 magnum and a .44 magnum and loaded a lot of ammo in one of the pockets of his bags sorting them so he wouldn't mix them. Finally he seemed ready hearing the command he walked into the Death room as he thought and the door sealed behind him he felt the vacuum on his body as the room started to glow a light blue. It felt like a air compressor had formed around him. During that ti felt like thousands of needles had been jabbed into him. He seemed to mostly not care, at least until he felt every cell in his body become destroyed to become re-animated into the digital world, he near panicked but he was too late with his panicking because before he knew it his body was gone.

The ever-so cheerful Frenchman grinned at the rest of his teammate's introductions, seemingly pleased with who was on his team. He could not help but notice the lingering stare of one of the sisters, though, and was definitely not blushing. It was just after-effects of the cold making him a little red. Yes. Following her movement backwards, he noted the tight bond the two seemed to have.

'Monmon et Sari,' he rolled the names over in his mind, 'mon Dieu, zey vill be ze end o' me.'

A voice interrupted his thoughts, causing his eyes to flicker over towards Dr. Helix. Glancing at the silver liquid, he hummed in approval, already sure of what the liquid was despite having not listened earlier. Yes, nano-cells. Surely the man had warned the others of the capabilities that injection had, including talking to one another via the mind.

He watched as the two entered into the chamber, eyeing the computer to look for hints as to what would happen, but was pulled away from that deed to listen to the voices in his head. He glanced at the screen, taking his time to memorize every dot possible. The task of cleansing CHIPS seemed to be getting a lot more difficult with every step they took. Sighing, he checked his body for all of his things, including his cigarettes and his gun. Once he was sure he had those two things, he swung his bag around and checked all the chemicals, his cheerful grin widening even further.

Yes, it would seem all his things were there.

Delighted by this information, he made his way over toward the extra gear. He grabbed a pair of metallic arm bracers, put them on and quickly swung his arms to test the weight. Once he was sure he could handle it, he grabbed some gloves that had good friction and would allow him to hold his gun with a firm grip. The next part, though, was what made him extremely over-joyed.

Guns. And tons of 'em.

He took a second handgun and stashed several clips into his belt as well as around his waist as a 'extra' belt. A beautiful .500 Cal Magnum was firmly gripped in his hands before he tucked it into the right side of his pants, feeling like he was on Cloud Nine. It was not every day one was allowed to freely fire a .500 Cal gun.

He watched as the other two males on his team disappeared in the chamber, and was more than pleased to offer himself up.

"I vill see you on ze ozer side, zen." he called, waving to the sisters as he made his way in. Before the door completely sealed, he called, "Au Revoir!"

Closing his eyes, he felt the air tightening on him, sealing and sucking out his own air. He stood still, braving the pain as his limbs felt like they were breaking, tearing apart. His own skull felt like it was collapsing. Peeling his eyes open, he felt a brief weightlessness before parts of his body began growing numb, each cell breaking down to be recomposed elsewhere. An amused smile drifted on to his lips as he watched, trying to forget the pain as he analyzed what was happening.

Then he was gone, and the room was empty once again.

Sari grinned at Kai as he spoke. "Good guess. But actually, we named the bunny after Monmon, here." She tilted her head against Anemone's for a moment and then turned her attention to Dr. Helix.

Interesting...nano-cells? Sari thought. Her eyes flickered to Lilian as she spoke, and she couldn't help smiling at the woman's rather harsh tones. To her, they sounded playful - and it would be fun to play with this woman, she knew.

She watched, intrigued as Dr. Helix suited Ava and Dante up in armor that looked like it combined both science fiction and historical legends about knights. It was quite lovely, Sari had to admit. She was mildly alarmed as the armor tightened, but as it didn't seem to do harm, she decided that it was probably alright. Still, there was something about the armor that unnerved her. She glanced at Anemone. Her sister was scared of tight spaces, and while armor technically wasn't a space...

I'll just keep an eye out, Sari thought. She knew very well that the place she was about to go into was very dangerous - and she wasn't a fighter. Neither was Anemone. And worst of all, Anemone wasn't even as good of a runner as Sari was. But she would never abandon her sister. Never. Not even in death.

As Lilian's voice began to pulsate through her mind, Sari at first flinched, but then calmed down, letting her customary smile return to her face. She listened absently to the lecture, absorbing it, but not really paying all that much attention to what was actually being said. She watched Kai get suited up, then Zeren and finally Alberto.

He waved before he left, saying, in that cute little accent of his [b]"I vill see you on ze ozer side, zen. Au revoir!"

After a dainty little wave, Sari slipped herself away from Anemone and walked up to Dr. Helix. "I'll go next, please."

Quickly, she dropped the outer layers and suited up in an armor almost exactly like Ava's, only her orbs had a faint purple tint to them. She tensed for a moment, then relaxed as the armor adjusted itself around her like another skin - a very interestingly colored other skin, but another skin nevertheless.

Next, she rummaged through the box of equipment, ignoring the strange words, some using letters that she knew, some not - she had seen Alberto take a gun, and she definitely wanted one herself. Finally, she found pistols to suit her need and weight and clipped them onto her belt. She wasn't the most amazing shot in the world, but she could shoot, and in a world where she was likely to die, that would be a good thing to have.

With a small smile back at her sister, Sari walked into 'the room' and closed her eyes. She blanked out her entire mind as she was compressed and then broken into millions of pieces. It wasn't painful, but it gave her a sensation that she was nothing - she had no being - she didn't deserve to exist. It wasn't painful - not physically at least. But mentally - Sari couldn't think enough to consider the issue -

It was like being crushed.

Anemone smiled slightly at Lillianā€™s snarky comments. The girl obviously never worked with anyone that majorly lacked any sort of temper control. Anemone looked over at her sister, who had a familiar glint in her eyes. She watched as the doctor injected Dante with the fluid, making a mental notes about the scars on his arm and hoping that the syringe wouldnā€™t leave such a mark on her arm. Anemone did not like being scarred. The burn scar on her right arm left her rolling around on her bed for a week or so, overwhelmed by severe depression. She planned on making it into a part of a tattoo or something later.

She winced slightly as the syringe was stuck into her arm and held her breath until it was over. Afterwards, she looked up to see Dante and Ava changing into armor, frowning slightly as she assessed her own clothing.

Somehow, sheā€™d have to get the armor over her dress and, preferably, look good doing it.

Oh well, just another challenge for her greatness. Anemone jumped slightly as her thoughts were interrupted by Lillianā€™s speech. Great, now the boring rants were in her head, too. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes ā€“ even if she wasnā€™t attentive, she liked to be respectful ā€“ and looked back at the chamber where Dante and Ava were waiting to be transmitted to the digital world.

She blinked slightly as she watched them dissipate, wondering if the procedure was painful. After that, she decided to delay a bit on volunteering so that she could figure out how to armor herself up properly. Really. She was a driver. Did she even need armor?

When it was finally her turn, she rid herself of her jacket, which figured that she wouldnā€™t miss too much because she had tons of the same type and color, and stepped into the chamber, trying her best to ignore her claustrophobia. Once she suited herself in armor that would match her sisterā€™s and grabbed a gun with tranquilizer darts, she gingerly touched the orb.

I must look like a moronā€¦

She closed her eyes as she went through the dissipation process, enjoying the feeling of being as light as air. It was, surprisingly, not painful, just a bit strange. She didnā€™t have too much time to enjoy it, however, as she soon lost consciousness.
