A world overrun with corruption and greed, oppression and conformity. It's the year seventy two of the Monochromatic Empire and across the nation, the people silently cry for justice and the freedom that was once known to all. Now, under the reign of the Empire, conformity is law. In the upper city, those who follow the rules to a T are granted some leisure. The few rich and direct servants of the monarchs live here, ever bathed in the light of luxury. From here, the rules are made and enforced, and the law breakers are tried, sentenced and executed. Every difference is now an affront to society as it's known.

The Lower Monochromopolis


In the lower city, crime runs rampant, but only misdemeanors. Robbery, assault, murder, all these are a part of daily life in the lower city and are ignored by most people, all in the upper city. The people who live here are the poor, the forsaken, the forgotten, doomed to live life between a factory and a shack built into the supports of the upper city. Ritualistically, people attempt to move up into the upper city, but none have succeeded. People grow restless here, upset with the oppression and conditions of life. If revolution were to come, it would come from here.

The Rainbow Sea


The Rainbow Sea separates Canalan from the rest of the world, and the Iron Curtain separates the Rainbow Sea from Canalan. Named as such from the multicolored light that reflects off the surface of the water and the crystals jutting from it, the Rainbow Sea is the last obstacle between the Empire and freedom.

The Characters


The reign over Canalan has brought its people to desperate measures. They've voluntarily subjected themselves to genetic mutations to gain any power they can, any leverage over the Empire for their freedom. But seven people, no more than young adults have used this to gain all the power they need to escape this dystopia. They've gained the power over certain colors and all they represent. Now their goal is to get away from this place by any means necessary. Six of them are powerful beyond belief, but they'd be lost without their seventh, a defector from inside the empire with the ability named "Black".
