His hair is dark brown and straight, but is usual styled pretty wildly and can be one of many colours from cobalt blue to bubblegum pink, depending on what craze grabbed him the week before. His small-featured face is angular and rugged, and his mouth curls into an almost natural smirk.
Personality: A lot of people think Winter's a loner...not true, he just loves noise more than most other people can bear. Silence is, to him, not golden at all. He is completely uninhibited. He loves to learn new things, and when he lived at home, during the few quiet hours he had each evening (ie, the times when he'd be in danger of having the police called on him) he' be on the internet researching whatever captured his interest at the time. This means that he had a habit of running his mouth about whatever he's learned lately, without checking if anyone's interested. He rarely asks about anyone else, but it's not because he isn't interested. It's because he assumes everyone is the same as him and will just talk about themselves without being prompted. In truth he loves hearing about people, and whatever new interests and topics he can learn from them. His favourite thing of all is solid progressive rock music and new punk.
Skills: He's a multi-intrumentalist, mostly playing guitars and keyboards, but also competent on drums, bass and the tuba (it just looked like too much fun).
Likes: Loud music, learning things from or about people, Moroccan food, people with a story to tell
Dislikes: Silence, smelly animals, people who are too easily offended
History: Winter grew up with his parents in a happy, easygoing family. He was very close to his dad, who introduced him to rock music, cannabis and general fun life. He was a real chilled out guy. Unfortunately, life in the fast lane caught up with them when his dad found out he had terminal stomach cancer, and died thirteen months later. Winter spent their last days together taking his dad around to rock gigs in a wheelchair, and celebrating every minute they had. He misses his dad like crazy, but doesn't let it get him down because he knows they squeezed every last drop out of the time they had together. However his mother took a different view. She didn't want Winter to end up the same way, so with the life insurance she recieved she paid for him to be sent to a unique new school that made grand promises of building her son's character.
As it happens Winter's wild lifestyle cooled slightly after his father's death anyway, before he even arrived at Carnes High. He no longer smokes pot or tobacco...it was never as fun without dad anyway.
