Riku never stars all-out, he's more of a build your way up to a climax guy. He'll start off but using merely the strength of his human form and martial talents, then when threatened, he will start using his power to gain superior mobility to his opponent. It is only when he feel it is absolutely necessary that he changes into his demon form. When in that form he gains two giant swords and a huge boost to his physique, along with nearly impenetrable armor, when these are added together with his power makes him a foe to be truely reckoned with.

On the outside Riku may seem like a classy, civilized, gentleman, but in reality, he's little more than sadistic, sycophantic, sociopathic bastard. He will manipulate anyone, anywhere, in any way to get what he wants. On a tangent, Riku also seems to idolize people with a strong sense of justice or conviction to the point of obsession, which isn't a particularly good thing, considering his nature. He's an expert at reading situations, and his presence in usually enough to get under your skin.
