Personality: Kathleen is naturally outgoing but in her unfamiliar setting she’s been scared back into her shell. Eager to please, and hopeful to make her life there work out. Living in Nyx is not what she wanted for herself, and she doesn’t have any idea how her next five years will plan out, but it’s out of her hands, so she intends to make the best of it. She really just wants to go home.

Brief History: Kathleen is the daughter of Senator Frank Hare, a moderate with an opposition to the isolation of the walled city Nyx. Her mother left when she was small, so she’s alway been very close with her father. At fifteen she begins to develop the disorder and it was fully developed by her sixteenth birthday. Despite her father disapproving of the system which isolates nocturnal individuals from the rest of the world, he knows its not within his power to keep her in the diurnal world any further and files the paperwork for her to move to Nyx.
With any college aspirations put aside, as well as her conventional schooling, and with the knowledge that she would be leaving behind both family and friends for a life where she will only have limited contact, Kathleen has been morose. She has put on a brave face and made every attempt to pull the best from the situation, but she’s no longer excited for her future.
