Ever since Alec was little, he had to learn how to grow up very quickly. His father was an abusive man, both verbally and physically, towards his mother and himself. Drawing was something that he did to calm his nerves when his father was shouting. It's always been something that's brought him a sort of peace. Shortly after his sister was born, there was an incident of abuse so horrible that it cost his mother her life. Alec had to take care of his sister from then on out because his dad wasn't really a father at all. As soon as he was old enough, he took his sister and left his dad.

Two months later, his dad showed back up in their lives, broke into their house, and tried to kill Alec. He was angry they had left him. The details of the struggle is something he's pushed from his mind, but one thing lead to another and Alec killed his father. Mostly out of self defense, but a part of him enjoyed the rush it gave him. That's what lead to him joining Crime & Company. The incident between he and his father is something he's never discussed with anyone besides Bonnie. No one else in the troupe knows about it.

He lives somewhat of a double life. One way around his little sister, and a completely other person when he's at work.
