Personality

Jarek comes across as cold and and brooding. That's beacuse he is and it's not just the ice magic flowing through him. Jarek always has a defensive attitude about him so that he can ward off anyone else getting close and having to worry about losing them. Inside he is in torment for the years lost from his wife, for the horrible things Nekkrutal put him through and for the brother he has not seen in over ten years. Jarek will open up only to those he truley loves and cherishes beacuse he realizes that if you can't be yourself around them then you might as well be dead.

Equipment

Jarek is usually seen wearing heavy black and dark blue plate armor. The armor itself has skulls and gothic style constructed into it. All death knights wear plate armor made of shadowsteel which is a natural holy magic neuteralizer. Jarek does not wear a helmet beacuse he knows his enemies and attackers will see the obivious weakness of his naked head and go for it, unfortunatley for them jarek has trained for countering all who aim for his head which he does using a massive 2-handed Rune-Axe. For every non-undead he slays with the axe it devours the victim's soul, enhancing it's power and Jarek's strength. Also etched and forged into the blade itself are runes of ancient Ice mages that were corrupted by dark magic.

History

Jarek Jones was once an apprentice necromancer to Scarlet Gravesin who unknown to him was actually a Lich in disguise. His interest in necromancy was strickly research was and never became tainted for evil means. During the start of the war when Nekkrutal began sacking cities with his undead hordes, Scarlet confessed to Jarek about her true-self. After some time to think he realized that he truly loved her and they became married. However, during their first year as husband and wife Jarek grew concerned that he would die to mortality and leave Scarlet alone and defenseless. So using the dark magic he was well-versed in he communed with Lich Lord Nekkrutal, and they made a deal. Protection of Velis Vale and Scarlet in exchange for Jarek’s services until Nekkrutal conquered the continent, but in order for Nekkrutal to trust Jarek completely he would have to sacrifice his life for undeath and in doing so he became Nekkrutal’s first Death Knight, the elite guardians of the Lich Lord himself. The part Nekkrutal forgot to mention was that Jarek’s undead mind and emotions would forget about the Vale and Scarlet completely, that is until he ventured to the Vale on orders and came across his forgotten love. That’s when Jarek woke up…
