Mia stepped down from the mat she was standing on at the shooting range. She had hit all of her targets except for one. The target was too small to see when you are also hitting three at the same time, but her coach still persisted to gird her about.
“It was right there in fort of your face how you could have missed it! I mean I put all this work into you and you still fail me. How do you think we could possibly put you in this new world when you are so unstable? GAH!”
Mia lost her temper and threw the hand gun she was holding, at him. “Who do you think you are? I missed one out of thirty and guess how many you missed last time 12. So don’t go there and yelling at me. How about you start getting some skills and actually teaching us something useful.” Mia flipped him off as she left to go. She didn’t really know where she was going until she reached the cafeteria. She swiped her card and a plastic tray shot out. She reached for it and grabbed the different types of food that was there. Since they lived on a spaceship there wasn’t anything fresh besides what the garden produced.
They had a mini farm with the animals that we needed for protein. But other than that it was all artificial food that they served. She thanked the lady at the front for the food and sat down to eat. At least until the officials came to give her another talk.

Colt knelt next to the chair in his fathers office. It had to be the fourth time it had broken in the last few weeks. He held the parts together with one hand and carefully hammered a nail through the pieces with the other. His father, John, had spent most of the past week in the infirmary. From what he heard his health was declining. He Finished with the nail and wrapped the protective, hard plastic around the stem of the chair once again. Hopefully no other parts would fall off of it before the landing.
At that thought a small smile kept across Colts lips. They were finally going to feel the earth under their feet and feel the sun and the rain and experience all these things that they had only heard and learned about. It had been five generations since the ship had last been on solid ground. There would be a lot of work for every one. Mostly the carpenters, hunters, and gatherers. Though there was no doubt in any of their minds that many of them might not adjust well to the new environment and fall ill. In that case the nurses would be in high demand.
He left the office and headed down the hall to the cafeteria. There were many people rushing around and trying to get things done. Only yesterday Colt had heard the gardeners discussing the check of the seeds that they had never planted but had saved for the day that was very close at hand. He made it into the cafeteria and grabbed a coffee in a can from one of the heated vending machines. He popped the top open and took a sip. Perfect, like always. He was about to sit when a messenger ran up to him. This one was probably in training from how young she looked.
“Colt! You must come to the infirmary quickly.” With those words the girl was off again and Colt wasn’t to far behind her. He darted around people and tried to keep calm. He knew the only reason would be his father. Maybe he was….maybe…. He wiped whatever thought from his head before he could think it. He arrived and was taken immediately to where his mother was. Her hands covered her face and she was crying. He knew from the look on the doctors face that his father had passed on. He wrapped his arms around his mother and held her tight. Instead of braking down he told her they would make it through the tragedy.

Once she got to the level her father was working on she gave him a hug and asked,"So what broke?" She knew how to fix things, well pretty much all things. Her father used to take her to work and she woud learn it all from him.

She later woke up in the leaders office. He was tapping the table with hiss overly long famine nails. He had a fat face and a bald head that was unnaturally shiny and a belly like a yoga ball, “Mia Rurin, what shall we do with you? Throw you out of the ship and watch you die a slow breathless death. Or just simply a detention. Such hard chooses.”
Mia sighed and shook her head, “how could you possibly throw me out you to fat to even get out of your office chair. Plus on top of that I could take down all your men at once.” When she said this his guards took a step forward as protection of the leader. But he just waved them away.
“Mia I will not take your crap anymore we are so close to landing and all you want to do is make a wreak out of everything. I will not be so leant next time for your family has been very good to us and the ship. But if I hear your name one more time about a problem it will be the end of you .”
Mia flipped him on and left back through the door down the hall just wondering.

“Ladies, and Gentle Men. Please report to your rooms and buckle yourself into the landing chair each of you have.” There was sound of static and then the Leaders voice came back on. “It appears that we are much closer to landing then we thought, we will be entering the atmosphere of the planet in about five minuets.” There was a loud noise and the announcement was over.
Colt grabbed the angry looking girls arm and dragged her into the room next to them. It conveniently happened to be his own room. He quickly buckled them both into the seat together, and no sooner then that the whole ship began to quake and thing fell off the walls and shelves with the violence of it all. He had one arm wrapped tightly around the girl since she was practically in his lap.
“I apologize for this. But that man knows nothing, and the speed of the ship makes us reach the atmosphere quicker.” it was hard to speak and try not to bite his tongue off at the same time, with all the shaking.

Her suitcase filled with her clothes fell to the ground, spilling its contents all over the room. She watched it spread everywhere and unbuckled quickly. She made sure her guitar case was safely buckled in before she began picking up her clothes. They hit another area of the atmosphere and she flew towards her chair and hit her head on it.
Everything began to dim as Rosalina got knocked out .

Mia felt when they landed because everything jerks forward even the straps on the seat were digging into her shoulder all she could hear was skidding and then everything stopped and went silent. Mia looked back at the man, “Well this must be our stop, welcome to the New World.” Mia tried to gracefully undo the straps when she found she didn’t know how to because they haven’t practice a landing drill since she was about twelve, “Ugh get me out of these.”

Suddenly, the red lights started to flash, and so he opened the trunk in his room that was bolted to the floor, and he threw the hatchet into the trunk and rushed to the seat to throw his safety belt on. As the ship started to careen towards the atmosphere, he thought quickly, <I forgot to lock the trunk!> Taranoth quickly unlatched himself from the belt, and ran across the 5 feet to lock the trunk, but just after he had locked the trunk, he was thrown across the room, by the buffering of hitting the atmosphere. Taranoth hit the anvil, breaking a rib, and with a lot of effort, he made his way against the tilting and shaking room, to his safety belt. He sat down, wincing from the pain, but threw on the belt, clicking it into place he said, "Damn... mom always told me to remember to lock the trunk..."
