A man with Tactile Dysfunction Disorder given a second chance.
Elliot is mostly withdrawn. Having been plunged to one of the deepest moments of despair in his life, he is still recovering. He takes time to appreciate little things in life, embracing his 'new beginning' in order to not take it for granted. Though he is also socially withdrawn, he is kind and generally good natured. He has a cold temper that doesnt flash in rage but instead calculates suitable vengeance before exacting it, though lately his temper has been the least of his problems.
Elliot does not carry any equipment worthy of special consideration.
Abilities:
Force Feedback Telekinesis - Elliot has a specific variant of telekinesis that not only acts as a moving force but also, he has learned, can provide sensory information in a similar way as physical touch. The limits of his telekinesis are still expanding as he spends time developing this ability.
Language intuition - Elliot can understand any language that is spoken to him (written language is completely meaningless), but he has no ability to communicate in that language beyond however he might choose to educate himself. The words are heard as they are originally spoken, but the meaning is as clear as if he were fluent in the language.
Elliot was formerly a Captain with the United States Army and had served 10 years of what he had expected to be a 20 year term. Though his job was logistical in nature, coordinating the delivery of materials and supplies to and from units deployed to Afghanistan, he was good at it and chose to remain in his grade rather than being promoted and moved into a command position. All of that slowly came to an end when he developed a Tactile Dysfunction Disorder.
At first he thought it was just his right hand going a bit numb from endless hours at the computer, but within a few days it had spread to his arm as well as his other hand. Though he was checked out by the base hospital and flown to Walter Reid for further evaluation, there was nothing that could be done. In less than a month from the onset, Elliot had lost all sensation of physical touch in his body as well as losing the ability to grow hair anywhere on his body. As he learned to walk again, losing his sense of balance from not being able to actually feel his feet strike the ground, his clearing paperwork was pushed through. Discharged with 100% disability pay, Elliot was devastated, wondering what remained for him.
Grasping at straws, he flew himself to Japan to be seen by what was regarded as one of the leading sensory dysfunction specialists in the world. After weeks of testing, the news came as less of a shock than he expected. It was inevitable. Whatever the cause was, it was indeterminable. The only thing that could be discovered is that his body was slowing shutting down as though he were a paraplegic. It could take weeks, or years, he was told. There was just no way to know for sure.
Completely overwhelmed with depression, Elliot bought himself a bottle of the local blend and acquired a handgun to bring is inevitably dwindling life to its conclusion. Yet he was soon to find out that......destiny, fate, some crazy old man, something whatever it was, had other plans for him.
