Bio: Kanashima Midori was born on June 6th at 7:06, or as some of his friends like to joke 6:66, to Kanashima Aiko and Kanashima Shinei. Midori was the only child of the Kanashima household; strange for the large extended family line. He lived with his grandparents almost as much as he did his mother and father because they visited almost everyday. However, tragedy struck Midori at a young age when his father passed away when he was five. At that age he didn't quite understand the concept of death, but somehow he knew that Shinei wasn't ever coming home again. That's around the time his psychic abilities started to manifest themselves. Whenever he would touch someone he'd catch a glimpse of their future, just a small one, but it profoundly affected him.

This was stacked on top of the fact that Midori was different from most of the other kids he played with. He'd always been very androgynous and would rather wear a skirt than pants or would choose of the like because he said he looked better in it than what everyone told him to wear. Midori never really cared about the difference in the gender barriers and just wore whatever felt comfortable and looked good. So people would make fun of him or say he was weird because of the things he'd say relating to his abilities or how he dressed.

Then he met Yukiko when he entered kindergarten. She was the only one who didn't make fun of him. In fact she often stood up for him even though she complained about it. Yukiko even seemed to understand what he said about his abilities and didn't dismiss him as crazy. They have been friends since then and have always stuck together through their problems. When Midori entered the third grade another event happened that would forever change his outlook on life.

Midori's grandfather, despite being a grandfather, was still young (about 47 so close to middle aged) and was employed as a local firefighter. One day when his grandfather came to see him, Midori caught a glimpse of his grandfathers future when he hugged him. It was one of the worst things he'd ever seen. Midori saw a house on fire and his grandfather went in to save somebody. But after a few minutes the support for the front door collapsed trapping him inside with the victims of the fire. After a while he appeared on the second story balcony and handed the trapped girl to the firefighter on a ladder. Then the roof collapsed, falling on top of his grandfather.

Midori told his grandfather what he'd seen and received a different reaction than he expected. "Thank you for telling me Midori, but I'll still have to go in that house." he told Midori. "But grandpa! If you go in you'll die!" Midori cried at him. "Yes, but if I don't that little girl will die instead. I don't think that's fair do you?" he said looking down at Midori, smiling despite the situation. "Remember this Midori, you said it was my future correct? That means it has not happened yet. The future can always be changed." And it was. When Midori's grandfather went into the house the roof did collapse, but because of Midori's warning he was able to escaped down the fireman's ladder in time. From that day forward Midori has always tried to help people with the glimpses he sees in peoples futures. Though it's hard to balance with his position as the guitarist in Yukiko's band yet he still does his best.

Personality: Midori is strong and energetic. He likes to joke around and is always one for fun. This may be why he became close friends with Yukiko. However, unlike Yukiko, he knows when to call it quits and sometimes opts out of the more dangerous stunts Yukiko pulls. He spends a lot of his time trying to talk her out of things in vain because she does them anyways. The other side of Midori is a calm and distant. This usually happens when he gets to thinking about things too much or when he's just 'seen' something. He's a very caring person, almost naively so, and Yukiko often makes fun of him for being to sensitive. He just laughs it off as he knows that will never change.

Skills/Passions/Strengths: As you may have guessed, Midori is very skilled at playing guitar. Whether it's acoustic, electric, or bass Midori can jam on it. On the other hand though he's an exceptional pianist and loves to come up with his own compositions. Strangely enough his greatest passion other than his musical career is cooking. This is probably because of his need to be creative. Just like with his music he likes to come up with different recipes using different herbs and spices. Though his culinary talents are usually delicious he does misstep with his experiments at times. This leads the other band members to be slightly wary of his cooking as much as they look forward to it. Midori is also a pretty good fighter, employing technique to make up for his lack of strength, but then again it's easy to win when you know your opponents moves before he does.
