Introduction
(NOTE: This story takes place in a Native American style tribe, in forests similar to those which played home to Pocahontas in Disney.)
For many years the tribes of White River and Evergreen fought amongst the great trees of their lush homeland. Hundreds of men and women were killed on the banks of the great White River, staining the surging waters of the Gift of the Gods, which had been sent to give life to the people of the forest. They fought so long that neither side remembered why they had begun to fight in the first place. It took two strong chiefs most of their lives to finally give up their pride and call an end to the violence.
Unfortunately for Sweet Water, daughter of the Chief of the White River People, the sudden peace has brought an end to her freedom, and denied her all hope of choosing her own future. To seal the bond of peace, Sweet Water was promised to the eldest son of Evergreen’s Chieftain. Forced to leave behind her land, her people, the girl who once sought peace in all things finds herself wishing that the war had never ended.
Now, Sweet Water must learn to live among a people she does not understand, speak a tongue she can barely comprehend, and hopefully, love a man she has never seen except across the bloodstained fields of hate. Without the basic foundation of trust, can Sweet Water and her new husband overcome their differences and, together, do what must be done to secure the treaty for both their Tribes? Or will this young relationship drag White River and Evergreen alike deeper into the black pits of war?
Sweet Water – taken by Everscale
A girl of adventurous spirit and strong will, Sweet Water has never taken well to being commanded. She chooses her own direction, does as she feels is right. She learned to fight as a young man would, learned to hunt and leap and climb until it was said in laughing whispers that young Sweet Water had learned to fly. She spent little to no time within the confines of the village, hungering for adventure. Now that adventure has come, however, she is uncertain in her step. The worst part of the marriage is that she is expected to present a child to a man she has never met before within a year.
Son of the Chieftain of the Evergreen People – open
A new husband who has never met his bride, and who is expected to produce an heir with her within a year to seal the alliance between the White River and the Evergreen. Whether he wants his wife, or hates being restricted, is up to his player.
Apprentice Shaman of the Evergreen People – open
A Two-Spirit – a woman stuck in the body of a man. By nature, his kind is gifted with deeper connections to the Gods and the ancestral spirits than any other sort of man. He is highly esteemed among the Evergreen, and even among other tribes, and to be his lover is the highest honor a young man in the Evergreen Tribe can attain.
Lover of the Apprentice Shaman – open
A strong young warrior and a loyal lover to the Apprentice. Anything else is up to the player.
Broken Arrow – taken by aestival
A young woman of the White River Tribe who was allowed to travel to the Evergreen and keep the new wife of the chieftain’s son company. She is Sweet Water’s single greatest savior.

Re: Daughter of the White River
I'm more than happy to give up a sample. Saw that in the rules, and in addition, if it turns out we are in short supply of applicants, I have no problem, should I be accepted in any case, doubling up on characters.

Also, in the event that no one else applies... >.> We may have to double up. IF your character makes par. (Unlikely that it won't.)

However, do you care if male characters are played by female players or vice versa? It will help me decide who in particular I am interested in placing an application for.
Thanks (:
