However, do you care if male characters are played by female players or vice versa? It will help me decide who in particular I am interested in placing an application for.

You can play any gender you want! I play both, all the time. In fact, I am often better with my opposing gender! (I'm a girl, I play LOTS of boys.)

Hi! In the rules, it states that one must submit a writing sample of at least 300 words in their CS. Do we write about anything in particular?

Not ABOUT anything in particular, though I would prefer the point of view of the character you will be playing. Have them raging about the arranged marriage or enthusing about their love or something... (depending on who you're applying for)

I'm more than happy to give up a sample. Saw that in the rules, and in addition, if it turns out we are in short supply of applicants, I have no problem, should I be accepted in any case, doubling up on characters.
