Ratch is nothing short of a punk. He honestly needs a spanking, but he refuses to let anyone give it to him without a fight.
Ratch is a punk, in all terms of blunt honesty. He acts tough, and headstrong. He's stubborn, which he is proud of, and he's not afraid to speak his mind whenever he pleases. He isnβt the brightest color of the rainbow, but it's due to his lack of experience. Although, if you can get past his rebellious attitude and "Tough Guy" mindset, he's actually quite friendly. He's supportive and kind. However, you're unlikely to see this in public. He has to keep up his "Image". If you became his friend, you could tell he was just a tough guy on the outside, and a softy on the inside. If you were his GOOD friend, he might even tell you that he wishes he didnt have to be tough to have a decent reputation. But what are the chances of that?
In short, he's cocky, a tad arrogant, and thick-skulled.
Being as young as he is, Ratch doesnt have much equipment. And what equipment he does, has little to no use.
Battle Hatchet - Ratch's axe. It's essentially a double sided axe, downsized greatly to be a good size for the child. Overall length is 36 inches
Hunting Knife - A small hunting knife, kept in the boy's boot. It's primary use is gutting fish and skinning and cutting meat. It could be used in a pinch in combat, though.
"Battal-rang" - A weighted boomerang, that has pointed edges. It's honestly just a boomerang with sharp metal points. The points however, cause the boomerang to be off-balance, and end up not going very far at al.
Pitcher's Lead - A lead ball, about the size of a tomato, or baseball. It's made for throwing, obviously.
Club-Glove - A thicker, heavier leather glove. Usually kept on Ratch's right hand. It's essentially
Ratch grew up a tough life. At age 7, his mother and father both were killed in front of him by marauders. He too, would've been a victim to the blade, had a hero not come along when he did. With a great axe, Ratch watched his savior hew through the other men like they were parchment. Ratch doesnβt know the name of the man that saved his life, but he was so amazed, that he wanted to be just like the man that he began to grow like him. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, after all.
Taken in by his aunt and uncle, Ratch began to train constantly. His axe work became second nature, and his body began to grow. By age 12 he was a skilled enough to win a local contest. He was also recognized by the town people as a "Troublemaker".
Currently, he still lives with his aunt and uncle, who do nothing about his rambunctious behavior. Ratch was independent anyway. He knew how to cook for himself, fend for himself and provide for himself. He stayed with friends most of the day, being out of the house from six in the morning, to ten at night.
