"Jahi, you have no reason to be sorry." He said solemnly. "I should be the one apologizing." He turned his back to her and walked over the window. He stared out at the city once more. He had found himself doing this often lately it seemed. "I'm assuming you saw everything. Guess I forgot to mention that when we spoke of vices at the meeting. Well that would be numero uno." He turned back to face her. He was clearly fighting against himself, yet had a soft smile upon his face. "I'd understand if you no longer wanted to hire me."

"No, you're still hired. That is; if you would still take the job."
She stepped over to the bed, and sat down once more, with her legs straight in front of her. After about a second, she leaned back and plopped on the pillows. Staring at the ceiling, she continued.
"And don't say sorry. It's fine. I should've shoved you back or something. My fault for not snapping you out of it."

Subtly raising an eyebrow at the laughing that broke out when he turned the radio on, Shirou didn't let the odd response phase him at all. He had to remember she knew nothing of the human world, things were not the same here as they were in the demon realm. And that was an understatement. Nodding when Ciel replied, he turned off the main road into a side road, being a relative sense since the side road was still two lanes both ways. He wasn't sure how the sleep cycle of pure demons ran, but he was still human, at least enough of a human to still be fatigued after a long day. Before they arrived at the apartment, he did mention something that she had appeared to grasp rather quickly. "Well done on the change in speech, once you no longer have to slow down, and with practice, you will fit into the human realm much easier."
Pulling into the parking lot of a generic looking building, just plain brick with windows at equal intervals, Shirou turned the car off and stepped out. The radio turned itself off when the car stopped running, and he led the devil into the apartment complex, nodding to the secretary at the desk. He knew her, she knew him, that was that. She was also smart enough not to ask questions of the tenant, and after two flights of stairs, Shirou pushed open the door to an apartment. It was furnished with the bare minimuls, a couch and fairly sized tv, a small microwave and standalone freezer next to it. There was a waist high mini fridge next to the freezer, and a chair at the counter. There were two doors as well, one was the bedroom, the other was the bathroom. Shirou explained as much. "Door on the left is the bathroom. Shower, bath, toilet. On the right is the bedroom, which is yours for the night. I'll rest on the couch."

"Don't worry." he said reassuredly. "My past won't interfere with my ability to fight." He stopped to think. Something was clearly still bothering her. He had the feeling it wasn't just the job being on the line. Something was on her mind, and that affected him. he walked over to the bed to sit next to her.
"Jahi. Something still vexes you. Would you mind if I asked?"

He sounds just like Zeinor... The things he says, the way he says it. That's the only reason why I had wanted to kiss him. No. Other. Reason.
-Oh please. You know enough about him to at least have a crush. You've been stalking him for how long?
-No. I can't like him. And I don't. That would be completely irrational. In fact, that is completely irrational.
-Rational thoughts have nothing to do with relationships. You should know that by now.
"Completely irrational..." She mumbled under her breath.
"Jahi. Something still vexes you. Would you mind if I asked?"
"Wait. What?" Jahi snapped out of her mixed emotions.
"Oh. I'm just thinking about things. Just... Ugh." She sighed, and clenched her fists.
"I made a promise to be honest so...." Biting her lip, she built up her courage.
"You sound like someone I had previously been in a relationship with. So I sorta might've wanted to kiss you because of that. Also, I had this weird idea that you had actually wanted to kiss me. But then I heard you say Eva and I realized that of course it wouldn't have been me you wanted to kiss, but the other girl. I don't blame you. It's extremely stupid and irrational, I know." She spoke extremely fast and blended her words together, making it extremely hard to understand her.
"There. I said it."
Jahi didn't know why she was acting this way around him. With any other man she would have been fine. But now she was acting like a love-sick middle schooler. There was something different, or off about this guy, that made her feel different. She couldn't put her finger on it.

She really is so much like Eva. he thought. She would want me to move on. I know she would.
Vaelfor moved Jahi back so he could see her face. "How about dinner and a movie first?" he said with a wink. "Lets worry about keeping you alive that long first. But for now, we should get some sleep so we can actually do something tomorrow."

"Uh.... Sleep?" She didn't really sleep, just closed her eyes and thought.
"Yeah.. let's do that. Dibs on this side." Just to prove her 'dibs', she threw off her shoes and slipped under the covers, and pretended to fall asleep, curled up into a ball.
"Sh... I'm sleeping."

He took off his undershirt and lay next her, pulling the comforter up to waist. "Goodnight Jahi" He said closing his eyes and resting his head on the pillow.

"Come on Jahi. Come closer. I need your help." He called.
"Where are you? What's going on Stephan?" Jahi responded.
"Just over here. Relax, there's just something I need." She continued over to the voice. It sounded slightly slurred together, but Jahi continued toward it relentless. Once she had reached where she targeted the sound, sweaty hands pressed her against a wall. A cold knife was pressed to her neck, and there were hands groping her all over. Once Jahi had finally turned herself around she was face to face with her step-father, his eyes reading only insanity.
Jahi opened her eyes around 3 in the morning, a flashback startling her. She was in a cold sweat, and she sat up; trying not to disturb Vaelfor. She was freezing, and after she had calmed down from the flashback she crawled back under the sheets, shivering. Jahi couldn't help but move slightly closer to Vaelfor, his body was radiating with heat.
