Equipment: Ichero doesn't carry much specialized equipment. He often wears a loose, tan jacket with a hood that keeps him cool from the hot desert sun. His only notable piece of equipment is an integral part of him: his N-Eye. His right eye is completely mechanical, a piece of Nosphor technology that allows him to see with both eyes again. Unfortunately, the N-Eye itself is a prototype and prone to malfunction. It can also only see in black and white, though it benefits Ichero in the fact that he can see clearly through blackwater with it.

Profession: Ichero has farming experience, and had been making a living in Encher growing irrigated crops to sell in the larger city of Talsium. He also acutely knows the principles behind separating the Diesel X and the clear (a drinkable water-like substance) from blackwater.

Background: Ichero Valos was born to a Edrick Valos and Mera Valos in the then small settlement of Encher. Edrick, a simple farmer, taught his son most of what he knew and showed him the value of hard work. Mera died during childbirth with Ichero, and the loss affected Edrick and put him into a deep depression for the rest of his life. He eventually died from health issues, and supposedly a broken heart, leaving an adult Ichero with the family farm and living-dome.

The most significant event in Ichero's life was during a raid from a group of violent Shadowed Ones. These Shadowed Ones came during the night, and attempted to ransack the town for all it what worth in addition to killing everyone in it. They managed to kill a few dozen people before a local militia group routed them.

However, Ichero himself was cornered by one before they arrived, and a sharp quill took out the boy's right eye in the ensuing confrontation. The member of the militia group who found him bleeding and weak was a ruby-skinned Nosphor named Aldor. Taking the boy in and mending his wounds, he also created the prototype N-Eye that takes the place of Ichero's right eye and allowed him to see again. That was a year ago, and Ichero has not seen or heard from Aldor since then.

Not much of a thinker, and not very good with technology, Ichero relies on his natural athletic skills and instincts guide him. He frequently misses his Nosphor friend Aldor, but has a few notable human contacts in Talsium, the human capital. As one might have guessed, Ichero does not easily trust Shadowed Ones, as the memory of the one who took his eye still sits painfully in the back of his mind.
