Build and Coloration: This tiny sprite has naturally verdant-green skin that shines with health and dusky moss-coloured hair that falls straight and slightly too long, not entirely disguising the large pointed ears that sprout from his head. Pikky has patterning across his face, an intricate blue-tinted lace-like pattern that runs along his brow and over the bridge of his nose. His hair naturally falls straight and is almost always rather scruffy and his eyes are deep-set and coloured shadowy blue. As with many sprites, Pikky is built fairly lightly, though for him it is almost to the point of being scrawny.

Attire: As a sprite in the wilderness, Pikky’s attire is not incredibly well-fitted or nice-looking. It’s practical. Some sprites are more civilises and even have homes of their own and special sprite-sized clothing, but Pikky tends to run amuck wherever he wants and steals things to use as clothing. Occasionally the age-old tradition of using leaves and plants and things is attempted but they tend to be uncomfortable, so mostly Pikky steals bits and pieces and makes it into clothes. Because Pikky has a really bad case of Magpie Syndrome—i.e., an unstoppable compulsion to steal anything shiny in the vicinity—he is often carrying coins, beads, feathers, gemstones and the like and sometimes wears them as weird, tribal decorations. Overall, he looks a little feral.

Aura: Most people first notice Pikky in the form of a high-pitched voice ranting at them from somewhere or other. It’s not a great first impression. Pikky is rather highly strung and doesn’t let the fact that he’s four inches tall stop him from getting noticed. He hates getting ignored so much that he practically throws himself at people who get in his way or try to pass him by. There is always a feeling of great indignation coming from him and a fierce pride that is utterly uncrushable. Nonetheless, it’s hard to take him seriously. He’s so little and angry.

Manner: Pikky is a natural-born mischief-maker. He likes making people’s lives difficult, especially the lumbering bigfolk. Essentially, he’s harmless—none of his pranks go beyond mere irritations—but he’s not always easy to get along with. He has a short temper and tends to find it hard to take anything seriously. Also, in any academic sense, he’s not exactly intelligent. He reads slowly and maths is a vast mystery to him. Nonetheless, he has a cunning streak a mile wide and is always hatching his own devious plans to get what he wants. Most of them don’t work, but you’ve got to admire his determination. He is also fiercely territorial and will attack anyone that comes too close to his home or hiding place, not that the attacks tend to cause much damage.

Heart: Pikky may be annoying but he’s not bad. He is averse to violence and causing true emotional harm to people and the few times his pranks have blown up and ended up having serious consequences he has felt bad for it… kind of. He’s a little bit fickle upon first meeting—and often distracted by the promise of shiny things—but once his loyalty is won, he will do anything for his newfound friend.
