Normally the Princess goes by Marlowe, but if it is a royal event her parents require her to go by Ginevra, strictly. A few call her Princess as many of the maids call her Lady or Miss - even though she begs them to just call her Marlowe. There are a few other nicknames: Ginny, Ev, Mar, Mars. She never goes by Sophia.

Marlowe typically catches most people's wandering eye. Capturing their attention, without meaning to. Mar practically radiates attitude, even if she's simply standing there; one hip cocked to the side, hands on her hip, and her head cocked to the side as if she’s judging you - most people tell her she looks like her mother. She walks with a swift pride that hardly goes unnoticed, thanks to her mother's years of training. She makes effort to hide her "authority." Her brown hair is controllable, naturally wavy; she keeps it in check with a combination of braids. Due to this the length is unconfirmed, sometimes it falls just below her breast, other times it's down to the middle of her back - she finds no need in styling it with the exceptions of braids. So naturally, it has its days of the full on messy, tossed away look - much to her mother's distaste. This unruly hair sweeps to the left, most of it finds home all bundled on her left shoulder.
Framed by Mar's brown hair is her smooth face. Her flawless olive skin is something she inherited from her grandmother on her father's side. Her facial features are very defined, like her father. She has high curved cheekbones, a sharp jawline, a full mouth, almost too-big eyes framed by long, full lashes, and a well-rounded nose. Her eyes are nothing spectacular, just a deep shade of blue with some green mixed in. Her face is usually dawned with a surprised look. Her brows usually give way to her feelings as well as her eyes. She has several β€œsignature” looks. Her smirk, her grimace, her innocent look, her confused look, her scowl, and her disgusted face. Marlowe also got her mother's set of perfectly white teeth, which usually aren't shown when her mother is around.
As for her physical shape, it’s soft and curved, not very deceiving. She has a very soft shape, but you catch a glimpse of her lean, slim muscle when she moves or is doing some strenuous activity. She has a small waist and wide hips, sturdy thighs. Her appearance is that of a princess - even though she'd much rather go unnoticed.
For style, Marlowe sticks to what her parents demand her to wear - which usually consists of dresses. But she usually has a pair of trousers on underneath. When she knows she won't be running into her parents that day she usually sticks to a loose shirt she's stolen from her brothers and a pair of leather trousers.

O D D I T I E S
Marlowe actually has her fair share of scars. The most dominant one isn't from a fight though, there is a long, jagged scar runs across her left forearm. When she was fourteen, she snuck out to check out the nearby Gryphons and ended up sliding down a muddy hill. The other scars aren't noticeable.
There isn't really a day Mars isn't without a cut, scrape, or bruise. She's known for getting being a little clumsy - but she's also trying to get better with a sword.

Isolated ✦ Skittish ✧ Curious ✦ Witty ✧ Tender ✦ Gullible

Many peg the eldest Kerrigan as mysterious. She’s been confided to the walls of the castle for much too long. Leaving her left out of a lot of things that are happening, she gets most of her information from the guards and maids of the house. Though she has been known to sneak out, bravery isn’t her best trait so she always comes back almost as quickly as she left. She’s endured a lot of verbal and physical abuse from her mother, leaving her skittish. Marlowe is known to flinch or shy away from people who raise their hand or voice at her. She’s known to be nervous if she’s done something she not suppose to, she’ll stutter or start to ramble. This also leads to her apologizing profusely for small things, which tends to get annoying - causing her to apologize even more. She’s much like a child, she must warm up to you before she truly opens up. Leaving many to think she is stuck-up like her mother, though it is the complete opposite. She must first trust you, something that is rather too easy to gain from the princess. She tries to see the good in everyone, leaving her open to get hurt - once you’ve hurt her, then it’s over. Her mother says she’s too much like her father when it comes to trust. They trust too easily, but once that trust is broken then they’ll never forgive and never forget.
Due to her years of being locked away, the Princess has this gnawing curiosity. She’s always the one asking questions. She’s like that toddler that continuously asks, β€œWhy?” This curiosity has led to many of her more prominent scars and aggressive scoldings. She’s not one to think before acting, especially not one to think before she speaks. The eldest Kerrigan isn’t a shining example to her younger brothers, she more of a, β€œDon’t do what she did, and you won’t get in trouble.” Much to her mother and father’s disapproval the child has always been quite good at social interactions, they’ve found that out after she’s had one too many glasses of wine. The Princess is equipped with quite the imagination and is a spirited story-teller. She’s learned most of her stories from the help around the castle - another thing that leads to criticism from Lord and Lady Kerrigan. Being they’ve always held her to such to such high expectations, Mar was set up for failure leading to her seeking approval from anyone. She has never voiced this aloud though, she doesn’t want to give in to her mother and father.
Another trait she’s inherited from her father is his wit. She’s very quick on her feet when it comes to comebacks and quick conversation. Her forte use to not be action, but commentary. It’s the one thing her and her father seem to share openly - both enjoying their private conversations without her mother around. Isaac being a perceptive, restrained, and well-informed King is sometimes reflected in his only daughter. Marlowe seems to see the world differently, but she knows when to be reserved (just when her mother is around). The years of learning have also increased her intelligence, the one thing she’s not afraid to do is correct someone when they’re wrong. Her father’s relentless clear-sighted realism has caused her to be bias in some aspects of life, but her eyes have been opened to the world - leaving her less closed minded.
Marlowe has been shaped through the maids and guards of the house as well. She’s tender and gentle when it comes to caring for someone she’s fond of. The maids have brought out the warmth within Mar. She easily grows attached to people now, even through it’s clear who her favorites are. Surprisingly, she has quite the large heart. But along with a big heart comes her naiveness. She’s gullible and has been persuaded to believe some of the tallest tales the guards have told. Marlowe tends to believe almost anything, exploiting her innocents. She may have a rough exterior and a reputation that precedes her - but she’s actually a sweetheart who is still learning.

S T R E N G T H S
✦Optimistic - She's always been the type to see the brighter side of things, and to see the good in every person.
✧Quiet - Marlowe has lived her life hiding in the shadows, she's learned how to be quiet and her ability to go undetected. Mar isn't the type to go around and sneak up on people just for the hell of it, but if she does its usually one of her brothers or Oliver.
✦Smart - Ever since a young age, Marlowe learned to hang onto every word. She could be found sitting on the floor cross-legged in front of the older help as they told her stories and reminded her to "learn from your mistakes." Those stories jump started her love for learning about her home and the creatures who reside there.
✧Oliver - Somehow Marlowe got lucky in meeting the blacksmith, even though it wasn't the best circumstances but he keeps her secrets. She appreciates everything he's done for her, and he has really helped Marlowe; he's taught her self-defense, confidence, and how to wield a sword. She's made a best friend that she knows will always be there for her.
✦Honor - Mar is equipped with a strong moral compass, one that keeps her humble and compassionate. She enjoys cleaning up around the castle, preparing food with her favorite maids, and making sure the guards stay healthy. (Something her mother doesn't know about)

W E A K N E S S E S
✦Her Parents - Their poisonous to their eldest child. They manipulate her solely to achieve their own ambitions. They're possessive and selfish when it comes to their ticket to being even more royal.
✧Confidence - A department Marlowe lacks the most of, she believes in so much yet she can't believe in herself.
✦Compassion - Her biggest weakness, she's a sucker for a pity party. She's been fooled by a few, they don't get into her head, but instead get into her heart. It easy to get the princesses' guard down.
✧Facial Expression - Usually a dead give away to her emotions. She always has a reaction without meaning to.
✦Degrading - Marlowe will quickly stand up for everyone except herself, it has been pounded into her head that she's not worth much.

✦Exploring - There isn't a place in Eriborough the eldest Kerrigan hasn't seen really.
✧Drawing - Since she was young, Mar always had a thing for pretty flowers. She use to pick them and put them in a vase, but they soon died. She found a solution though, she began drawing them. Soon enough she starting drawing anything and everything she saw, her attention to detail really bringing each drawing to life. She's made multiple maps of the kingdom and the residents and creatures that reside there.
✦Swordsmanship - Neither of her parents know of the newest hobby the princess has picked up.

H A B I T S
✧Left Handed - Something her parents have been trying to get her to stop, people who are left-handed are considered "evil." Her left hand would be tied behind her back, in an effort to force her to write with her β€œcorrect” hand. So, the eldest Kerrigan has begun to skip her lessons because she knows her teachers won't tell on her.
✦Focus - She has a habit of paying really close attention to detail, she has a photographic memory. She can recall most of a story someone tells.
✧Minor Speech Impediment - This leads to her stumbling over words and stuttering, which is very frustrating for her. But, it doesn't stop her humming and singing.
✦Questions/Flinching - Mar has a habit of asking people if they are angry with her, she is never good at judging if someone is angered with her or not. She's also one to flinch when someone raises a hand around her, or tense at simple contact with another person.

✧Being Seen as Evil - Her parents' reputations precede them, but she doesn't want her own to get confused and mixed in.

Eriborough

H I S T O R Y
There is a story the eldest nanny of the house enjoys telling Marlowe over and over,
"When you were born, you didn't even cry - you just opened your eyes and smiled."
Marlowe was a very quiet and content baby, never one to really cry - only whimpering when she was hungry or hurt. The maids gossiped over how they'd never heard of a baby being so silent. Nothing changed as she grew, never being one to make noises. The maids merely read her facial expressions. Her mother began to fear that her daughter wasn't going to ever speak, which added to the disappointment already instilled with their first born. The maids took care of the princess, her mother having fallen into a postpartum depression wanting nothing to do with her daughter. Both Sophia and Issac were clearly distressed when the doctor declared the baby was a girl, Issac needed a boy to take the throne after him.

Two years passed, Sophia had still yet to conceive and Mar had yet to speak her first word. Issac called in anyone who offered any sort of help. Doctors, Witches, Gypsies, and creatures all claimed the child was perfectly fine - each having added, "Her smile is contagious." - but each were hesitant when speaking about Sophia. The Queen began to blame Marlowe for ruining her chance at having another child.
Not long after Marlowe was introduced to her little brother, too small to ask questions, but she rarely saw her parents anyway. Once Symon was introduced, Mar began to find her voice. She became a very vocal to her parents' distaste. Her first word was Delaney - the eldest maid's name who cared for her. Her parents focused on her brother while she was left to the help, not that the young brunette minded at all. They began to teach her what toddlers should be taught, she was a slow learner when it came to reading and writing. She'd rather watch the birds and butterflies outside before learning to write her name. Once she turned ten, her parents introduced themselves back in her life. Disappointed from the start, again. Her mother disciplined her harshly for her posture, unruly hair, clothing choice, lack of reading and writing skills, and her cheerful demeanor towards the staff of the castle. Marlowe wasn't allowed in the kitchens or any area where the maids were found - she was to stay in the designated areas her mother assigned her to, and she was to be called Ginevra. Mostly the west wing, where she was to brush up on her reading and writing, learn to dress like a proper princess, and behave like a princess.
Those years were some of the worse, Mar wasn't herself. Many of the maids and guards weren't allowed to see her, her mother leaving her locked in her room. Soon she had learned what she needed to by the age of fourteen. She wore dresses her mother picked out, flinching when her mother handed them to her. She wrote sloppily with her right hand, while her left was tied behind her back. She read books her father secretly gave her on creatures and soon she began to sneak out at night.
The young princess reunited with her favorite maids and guards, learning more about them and where they came from. She would listen to the maids' stories from the town below the castle, and the guards' adventures outside the walls of the castle. With all the stories came a thirst to explore outside the castle. So, one week her mother and father had decided to visit a nearby kingdom on some sort of business. They left the highest guard in charge, one of Mar's favorites. She hurried down to the maids corridors and borrowed some of their clothes and headed out to town. The disguise didn't work completely as plan, some of the guards caught on and decided to trail her, wanting to keep her safe but she wasn't in the mood and decided to make a run for it. She turned a corner and was grabbed by a two pairs of hands, quickly pulled into a tight hiding spot as the guards ran by. She kept quiet before slowly emerging from the spot, looking at the pair who happened to be twins. She mumbled a quick thank you, then asked if they could show her around. Little did she know her mother had someone watching her, taking notes on the pair that had helped her. It had begun to rain so the two took her to their hideout and fed her as they waited the rain out - once it was over she thanked them again and left, heading back to the castle.
On her way back, she past the gates that lead outside the walls. She realized that they would close just before the sun went down so she sprint out and began to explore. Soon the sun started to sink low, she decided it was better if she headed back until she heard a small squeak of a bird. She looked around for the source of the sound, finding a small Gryphon. Quietly, Mar decided to follow the little guy. She hid in the bushes away from the small group of Gryphons, simply watching them from afar but she wasn't paying close enough attention and moved her foot wrong, slipping on mud causing her to tumble down the small bank cause her to yell out in pain as her left arm was cut. The Gryphon mother, reared up ready to attack as Mar scooted away from it as a dark, maroon colored dragon put itself between the two.
Marlowe was frozen in fear as the dragon turned its attention on her after the Gryphons had fled, it lowered its head to her level causing her to flinch, but she raised a hand towards it - gently touching its snout. The dragon helped her stand as she held her left arm close to her body, it followed her to the gate where she realized it was closed. Panic set in as she began to worry about her arm, knowing she needed to stop the bleeding, soon she was getting light-headed practically using the dragon as support before she passed out.
She woke up in her room, the doctor patching up her arm as Delaney held her right hand. Once the doctor left Delaney looked at Marlowe expectantly, "Darling, I know you always listen to our stories but it's time you tell me one." Grinning as the fourteen year old begin telling her tale of the day. She was stuck in bed the rest of the week, the doctor recommending it for healing. Her parents arrived home, demanding answers as Delaney spoke up telling them Marlowe took a tumble down the stairs. Sophia gave her Mar a swift slap to the cheek and proceeded to tell her it's not lady-like to fall. It wasn't long after that her mother announced she was pregnant.
During her mother's pregnancy, Marlowe had more free reign she was able to escape to the town or outside the walls. Those nine months of exploration really helped Marlowe map out the region of Eriborough, literally - she began to draw a map of it, pointing out where certain creatures would reside along with special spots where she would find certain flowers and clover patches. She also found time to secretly watch her younger brother improve his swordsmanship with one of the younger guards, quietly learning from behind the bushes.

Life had grown a little easier once her brothers had both been born, that is until her youngest brother hit the ripe age of three. Marlowe was put on babysitting duty, to keep the teenager within the castle after a guard had told Sophia about her daughter's adventures. The child was nothing short of a hellion, and people thought her other brother was the small demon child. The babysitting didn't last long, Sophia complaining if you wanted a job done right that you'd have to do it yourself. There was clear favoritism towards the youngest Kerrigan.

Two years passed, and that's when Marlowe met Oliver Quill. Lord Issac announced at dinner that he had hired a personal blacksmith. Deciding she needed to meet the new addition, Marlow asked Wilson, one of the guards, for a favor. She had borrowed a sword from him in hopes of learning more from her brother and his guard friend, deciding to act as if the sword was Wilson's she set off to the blacksmith's shop. After lugging it down to the shop, she was greeted by a very large man. She set off rambling about her story she made up of Wilson needing his sword fixed from striking a rock. The blacksmith grinned and agreed to fix her sword, not falling for her story. From then on, Marlowe found herself visiting the shop more and more, curious about the swords and the blacksmith. She befriended Oliver quickly and he began to teach her how to wield a sword, and defend herself.
For three years now, she's found excuses to visit Oliver. Finding refuge in his shop. He's opened her eyes to the world, telling her stories of his travels, introducing her to new things (such as whiskey), and being someone she can rely on even though he may be a little pigheaded. Marlowe's glad her father has agreed that Oliver should accompany them to the festivities.
