Kira Tenshin's Story

Kira was leaning back in his seat. He was currently sitting in his office located in the centre of Eden. Infront of him were two holo-screens. The one to the right of him displayed a video uplink to his father, the one on the left his mother.

"So then my dear boy..." His father started with a deep voice that could only be obtained via age, experience and wisdom "... How is the Eden Project going?"

"It is going fine. We already have 60 buildings up and we are planning stage two. We have a population of 213 and are currently making money, however we are yet to break even on our starting investment here. It is so weird though. No one really owns this lad. So we just build there. There is no restrictions, as long as you don't build near the spaceport its a free planet. Speaking of which reminds me that we need to start designing our own spaceport. We are also setting up a drilling operation too"

"A drilling operation? Why would you need that?" His mother questioned him

"Well we don't want to do mining since Shadow Tech taxes that so we are setting up a drilling operation to do some studies of how stable the ground is around here. If we were to accidentally find some porivium well who knows what we might do with it" Kira replied back to a mother with a grin on his face

"Just be careful Kira. Shadow technologies does not like the idea of other corporations and businesses digging down there. The porivium is the reason they dominate the weapons markets"

"Do not worry mother, the drilling is purely for a geological purpose. You know, I discovered yesterday that the Shadow Tech group pay stupid sums of money for grams of that stuff. Imagine if we found a vein of the stuff. We could be stinking rich, literally rich beyond our wildest dreams" Kira span around on his chair, acting almost like a two year old.

"We are already stinking rich. We don't need any more money. The only reason we didn't give it you all is because we did not want you to spend all of our savings on a shitty Eden project. But it seems you are doing well so far" Kira's father retorted.

"Yeah, I love you too father"
