Personality:
Kurenai is a kind and calm character, who is quite easy-going. She will always try and stop her brother's from arguing and calm the situation between them. If she can offer assistance to someone, then she will. It is in her nature to be gentle and helpful. She loves to dream and often she will get a faraway look in her eyes that means she's no longer present (often within her lessons). She's extremely creative and all that she dreams either goes down on paper, or are painted. One of the dreams closest to her heart is that she was fall hopelessly in love and live happily ever after, but she keeps this one mostly to herself. She isn't a grounded person in the slightest and she has very odd ideas about things, but at the same time, the young girl can be extremely clever. Really, she didn't care what people think about her. She is just who she is and nothing will change that. If they believe her odd or distant, then in her eyes, it's their problem and not hers.

However, Kurenai can be firmly determined and when she gets her mind set on something, she will follow it through. It is not stubbornness, she just likes to get something done. As well as that, she often finds herself annoyed her brothers' "pointless" bickering and can become angry with them. In her eyes, their arguing is a waste of time and they should be getting along rather than constantly being at one another. Secretly, she finds herself agreeing with Jeremy about the Upperworld, though she would never let on. She doesn't hate the Underworld, but her heart lies with the Upperworld where everything simply looks perfect to her. It is her belief that there is no reason for the two opposing worlds to argue any longer and that they should be joined as one. Often she has tried to tell her father this, but he will not listen, neither will her younger brother, but she has some hope for her eldest brother Jeremy. If she can only get him to listen to her about joining the two worlds to make peace then it may just happen....


Description:
She is around 5'6" and of a slender build, that curves in all the right places. Her eyes are a deep brown, but in certain lights there are flecks of gold and green there. Her hair easily reaches the bottom of her back and though it is often straight, she prefers to wear it wavy or tied back in a plait so it's out of the way. As well as that, she has a faint scar that runs across her collarbone after she fell from her horse when she was five. It's around five inches long and has faded fairly well, but is still clearly there.


Skills and/or Talents:
Kurenai is extremely creative and a beautiful artist. Often she can be found painting, mostly things she dreams of and each is as wonderful as the last. But occasionally she has painted the Upperworld, these she keeps hidden. Her father describes it as her "unique" talent, but she knows there must be others out there. She is also skilled when it comes to riding her horse. She is an excellent rider and appears to have a connection with her horse or in fact any beast that she comes into contact with. Many believe it is her calm and gentle nature that allows them to feel comfortable in her presence. Unfortunately the beasts in the Underworld are not always particularly pleasant.


Location of Power Gem:
Kurenai wears her Power Gem as a pendant, around her neck on a beautiful silver chain. It used to be on a charm bracelet, but Kurenai finds it easier to wear around her neck, where she has less chance of losing it.


Extra:
Kurenai has been practising her archery in order to be able to fight for herself. It is her belief that a woman should be able to defend herself and therefore has put all of her effort into practising, probably much to the annoyance of her family. She believes they think she should do nothing more than sit and look pretty. But Kurenai has other ideas. Also, she has been toying with the idea of crossing through the portal. She wants to experience the world first hand, rather than hear her father's cruel tales about it. But she is frightened of what they will do to her and even more so of what her father will do to her.
