BASICS
”You’re truly interested? Let’s start from the beginning then."

-Nickname: Leph
-Age: 209 (Looks around 21)
-Gender: Male
-Rank: Prophet
-Role: TBA
-Motivation: Leph believes in the power of knowledge and history more than anything, and as a Shem, is neutral in this war. His only goal is to constantly learn new things.

APPEARANCE
”Appearances are deceptive, however, cannot ever be discarded as unimportant; it is in these deceptions knowledge is found."

-Eyes: Leph’s eyes are a dark, forest green, deep from two centuries of experience and knowledge.
-Hair: Platinum blonde, Leph’s hair is long and fine, ending just past his shoulders and silky to the touch.
-Height: 5’8”
-Weight:129lbs
-Skin Tone: Creamy and pale, Leph’s is skin that has never seen any extensive injury or battle, free of scars or other blemishes.
-Build: Long and lanky, like many men of his species. He also has little muscle mass, and is clearly not a warrior.
-Body Markings: This across his upper back, ending just before the curve of his shoulders.

-Description: Leph’s appearance is the quintessential look of his species. He is tall, but possesses an elegant, thin frame. Everything from his fingers to his feet give off a sense of grace, and every movement he makes contains purpose. If describing his looks in one word, it would most likely be “soft.” His beauty is rather androgynous, and if it wasn’t for his height he would often be mistaken as female from those not familiar with the Shem. His lips become thin when he smiles, and his face possesses a perfect symmetry.

His typical demeanor is one of poise and calmness. Leph holds himself in an unguarded sort of way, as if he is open to everyone and knows nothing of betrayal. His gaze however, shows he is far from naive, and those who meet his eyes often find themselves uncomfortable, as if he can see through them and know everything they have done.

MENTALITY
”My personality is really rather dull. Honestly. Not worth a thought."

-Quirks: Whenever Leph feels an emotion he wants to conceal, he’ll curl his fingers and touch his knuckles to his lips, a sort of nervous habit.
He also has a major love affair with books. If he finds an interesting one, he basically turns into a ten year old human on Christmas morning. When he’s actually reading one, he becomes completely absorbed, and it is very difficult to get his attention.
Leph has a photographic memory. Not much else to say there.

-Fears: Failing in a vital situation
Claustrophobia- fear of small spaces

-Likes: Books/Reading
Learning (science/history/language/ect)
Sentient beings (or, observing them at least)
Nature
Clear skies and sunrises

-Dislikes:Exerting himself physically
Unnecessary cruelness or violence

-Personality: Leph very much believes knowledge is power. From a young age, he has done little but acquire information through readings, talking to his elders and observation. In human terms, he is a scholar. This has made him very perceptive, and it is quite a daunting task to get something passed his notice. He never forgets a face or anything he’s read, and within his brain there are always questions being posed and answered, never a moment of peace.

Luckily for most, he rarely voices his observations. He rarely voices much of anything, really, besides tidbits of advice or answers to comments directly posed to him. He is very polite and seemingly kind to everyone. However, Leph shows little honest emotion, and his poker face is a serene smile that masks whatever he may truly be feeling. Though not untrusting, he prefers to be the perpetual observer rather than a direct influence, and thus doesn’t get close to many people. To befriend him, one must either gain his respect (not any easy feat), or just be so interesting he can’t help but spend time around them.

The more one gets to know him, the plainer it is to see that he actually does not have a lot of social skill. When talking about himself especially, he becomes awkward and his mask crumbles to pieces. He has next to no self-awareness, despite being aware of everything around him. Deep down, he has a seething self-hatred, feeling as if he has done more harm than good by being brought into the world, and constantly questions what his purpose is. Once he can no longer live by his polite façade, he is shown to be quite clueless.

EQUIPMENT
”I carry only my wit… and a few necessities."

-Armor: Under his clothes he wears a leather breast plate to stop blunt force trauma. He’s not a fighter though, so don’t expect much else.
-Casual Clothing: A long-sleeved green tunic with white stitching, and tight, black cloth pants underneath. He also wears a pair of dark green leather boots, which are highly durable, and sometimes a lighter green cloak.
-Carried Items: A bag containing an encyclopedia, various herbs, and a small dagger, not as a weapon but for cutting stems of plants, ropes, whatever he needs it for really. Oh, and his gloves, because he never knows when he’s going to mess with something he ought not to be touching.

-Main Weapon
•Name: Paideia
•Type: Poison Dart Gun
•Made of:various alloys
•Length: Small
•Weight: 3lbs
•Description/Info: Though he loathes to carry it, and rarely has a use for it, if all else fails Leph has his trusty dart gun. In appearance it looks more like a children’s toy, albeit well-polished. Doesn’t hold more than three darts at a time, and is more for escape purposes than anything.

COMBATIVENESS
”Fighting is useless to me in comparison to… well, everything else."

-Natural Talents:
•Agility: Like everyone in his species, Leph is very fast and nimble.
•Observation: Don’t bother with a sneak attack when going after Leph. He’ll probably know you’re coming before you’ve even gotten into position. And really, you don’t need to sneak, because you’ll probably beat him anyway.

-Skills
•Pressure Points: Leph is not strong, however, he is by no means defenseless. With an acute understanding of how many species’ bodies work, he fights by locating weak points and exploiting them with a quick jab. He can paralyze humans in a matter of moments and bring certain demons to their knees.[/
•Just Plain Smart: This Shem knows a lot of things. He can avoid traps and poisons, recite ancient poems and scientific theories, and recall battle schematics from wars of old. My guess is it’ll come in handy for him and his companions as time goes on.

-Weaknesses
•Zero experience: Leph, up until now, has never fought a day in his life. 200 years without a single violent confrontation. Everything he knows is pure theory.
•Pathetic: Let’s be honest here: Leph was not bred to be a warrior. He’s weak. He has little concept of true battle, he’s not particularly brave, and he gives up rather easily. He’s damn lucky he can run, frankly.
•Apathy: Oh, can’t forget the fact he has no desire to fight. At all. He’ll run, he’ll surrender, but unless put in a situation where he has absolutely no choice whatsoever, he’ll never fight.

HISTORY
”How irrelevant."

-Life
•Martial Status:Widower, currently single
•Family: Klenn Mur (Father, 745), Freya Mur (Mother, deceased), Lenara Mur (Sister, 498)
•History: Lephenwe was born to a beautiful Prophet mother and an Elder father. His sister Lenara was a well-known Hunter of his clan, strong and very brave. There were, naturally, very high expectations for him to be extraordinary as well. Luckily, at least in the beginning, he did not disappoint. Inheriting his mother’s beauty and his father’s mind, Leph wasted no time in carving a name for himself. By the age of 20 he was excelling at his schooling, and spent his time at home reading more. He was a genius, even by Shem standards, and it was quickly assumed he would take over his father’s place as clan Elder once he passed. However, by the time he reached his 50th birthday, his family had realized this was a far off expectation.

Leph was weak. Though no sickly, he simply could not keep up with others near his age athletically. He was nimble and quick, but beyond what his species granted him he was nothing more. He also had difficulty interacting with others, and spent most of his time in the forest, learning about plants and reading from his vast library. His father taught him proper etiquette and how to get through conversations, but behind simple pleasantries and offering his knowledge, he found communication difficult. Then, just four years after he turned 100, he met Jenemie.

Jenemie was a Stalker, quicker than the swiftest animal and brave like his sister. She was a student of his mother, and they kept in contact even after she reached adulthood. She came over to his house for a meal, and the rest, they say, is history. He fell in love with her dark beauty instantly, and she found his incredible wit and awkward nature endearing. She understood him better than anyone ever had, and ten years after they met, they wed. Many said they were too young to make such a commitment, but neither of them cared. For 70 years or so, they lived happily together. Leph became an apprentice under his mother to learn the ways of a Prophet, and Jenemie continued to excel as a Stalker. Then, when Leph was 190, Jenemie became pregnant.

Needless to say, there was an uproar. Most considered anyone below 300 to be far too young for parenthood, and the two found it difficult to remain in the clan. Eventually, they made the decision to raise their child in the Shem city, where such things were a bit more common. Only one would make the trip back. A sudden storm hit while they were travelling. While attempting to find shelter, Jenemie was crushed under a falling tree, killing her instantly. Leph only avoided it because Jenemie noticed just in time to push him out of the way. He lost his wife and and his future child that day, and gained a self loathing he's never been able to shake.

He returned to his original clan and took up the position of Prophet. Over 30 years later, and Leph has become completely immersed in his quest for knowledge.

So begins...
