Short Change Hero - The Heavy
No man will make a great leader who wants to do it all himself or get all the credit for doing it-Andrew Carnegie
Full Name: Alexander Kontan
Nicknames: None
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Mage: Caster. Lost Magic
Magic Type: Memory Make
Rank: Guild Master
Height: 6' 2"
Crest Location: Right Collarbone
Weight: 185
Hair Color: White
Eye Color: Grey
Alexander is almost always wearing a smile, and a black or white tshirt. His jackets vary greatly. He enjoys dressing stylishly, and keeping a definite style for long has never happened in the existence of the guild. He changes his hair occasionally too, although that never lasts long, and usually reverts to his standard white quickly. He holds himself with a walk of pride, and each step seems thoughtful and strong. Despite his obsession with fashion, his attire is almost always offset by a pair of worn, old, black combat boots with straps. He never wears any other shoes, and no one really knows why.
Style:
Alexander has varying style, although it is usually nowhere near suited for combat. It is stylish, usually handmade, and usually has a few layers. Alexander loves jackets, regardless of the weather or temperature.
Distinct Markings:
A tattoo under his left eye.
A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd-Max Lucado
Personality:
Alexander is a cheery individual, although he has a hard time with people. He has a tough time letting others in, leading to many of the Guild Members to still be quite distant from him. He enjoys dimly lit rooms and books. He enjoys tending to the garden, and star gazing. Alexander almost never sleeps, and often wanders in the middle of the night with a book in hand. Alexander has placed himself in harms way for his comrades before, nearly dying once. He seems to think things he do for his comrades as no big deal. Whether a simple meal or saving a life, he seems to take everything in his casual nonchalant stride. When Alexander does get serious though, he turns cold, calculating, and almost sadistic. He has taken targets down without mercy, and treats them almost inhumanly when provoked enough.
Weaknesses/Fears:
Alexander has been having health problems of late, the true extent of which Alexander has yet to share with anyone. He rarely leaves the base, and his magical output is significantly diminished. This is also partially because of the constantly running Archive Magic and Alexander's disposal. This keeps Alexander from fighting frequently, or for long periods of time, and it also keeps Alexander from being very mobile.

There are lots of people who mistake their imagination for their memory-Josh Billings
"Memory Make":A Magic which grants the caster the ability to manipulate memories. It also gives the user amazing memory capacity, being able to memorize opponent's heart beats, footsteps and Magic. The caster can also create "memories" of themselves which are similar to holograms. This magic also allows the user to create new Magic spells by combining spells from other Magic which the user has memorized before. Furthermore, the user is able to negate Magic spells used by the opponent which the user also had already memorized by "forgetting" the spell.[1] Unlike Ice-Make or Wood-Make, the caster does not need to place their hands into complex positions but merely places their fingers on the temples of their heads as a focus point and a chain of memories could be seen visible behind the user.
Strengths and Special Attributes:This magic allows for a great amount of versatility, in and out of battle, allowing the user to memorize incredible amounts of information, and usually after only one go. While he can memorize magic quickly, if is is used in quick succession, Alexander's ability to memorize will be impeded. Visually seeing the magic is a must. The memorization of these magics does not mean immediate mastery, and further training must be undertaken in order for the magic to reach it's fullest potential.
Alexander's Memorized Magic
1. Earth Magic- The first magic Alexander every memorized, his mastery of this magic is phenomenal, even by other Earth Magic users standards. (Not that any are still around.) Alexander witnessed a man running from the anti magic unit using this magic. The man was captured, but Alexander saw enough to copy this powerful magic. The strain on Alexander is great when he uses this magic. He can not use this magic while the Archive is up due to the ridiculous magical strain it takes to use it. Alexander uses this magic to shape the base as well.
2. Archive Magic- A magic that Alexander studied thouroly, allowing Alexander to use this magic to connect the entire guild. Communication over long distances is capable through this, and long range observation is also available. Alexander has this up almost constantly, nearly crippling Alexander from other activities that involve leaving the base.
3. Take Over- A magic used to change one's body into the form of other creatures and gain their properties. The user usually has to have a very deep understanding of this creature. Alexander's amazing memory and extensive knowledge gives him a lot of versatility with this magic. He prefers this magic for combat, as it is much less stressful then his Earth Magic.
4. Re-Equip- This magic is used to quickly call items to ones location for use. Alexander uses this to change his attire regularly.
5. Ice Make Magic- Alexander copied this from an unknown source. He refuses to talk about it though. His mastery of this magic is also quite thorough, able to utilize both the Static and Dynamic forms of this magic, although he has an obvious preference for the Dynamic, but a better control of the Static. He dislikes the use of this magic for some reason.
- Equipment and Personal Artifacts:
- Books. He goes through a few a day. Yes a day.
- His boots.
- Dogtags that he wears around his neck. No one but him knows the name.
I'm finding, as I get older, that I'm not much of a believer in redemption. I mean, I believe in redemption in real life - redemption does happen, and it's cool when it does - but I find myself getting leery of my desire for it in stories, especially my own-George Saunders
History: Alexander was born into a family of politicians, rich and influential, and a large family at that. He was the youngest of three children. His family's expectations were quite large, and he was quickly put on the path to become a politician. His parents adored him. More then his older brother or sister. His sister, Luna, was allowed to live in the lap of luxury despite her supposed lack of skills. His older brother, Hoga, was always an outcast and introvert in his family, skilled physically and mentally, but not politician material by any means.. Alexander looked up to them both and adored them greatly. Luna always returned his sentiment, but Hoga always seemed distant. Alexander practically lived in the family library, and he fell asleep in their often. So often in fact a blanket was left in there for him. Alexander grew up like a normal kid, as normal as he could anyways.
One day changed his life forever. Alexander was in the street. He was out getting some lunch for himself. He heard a commotion. Guard chasing a man through the streets. Not just guards though. The Anti-Magic Squad was also in pursuit. Alexander watched a very old man running from them. The fact he was moving as fast as he was was astonishing. The man turned to look at the guards. When he turned away, a spear flew deep into his back. The man stumbled, looked around, and locked in on Alexander. The man ran to him. The people around Alexander stepped back. Alexander cringed, waiting for the end. But it didn't come. The man grabbed Alexander, and spoke. "Remember what you saw here today. Never let it leave your mind. REMEMBER!" A few more spears flew into the mans back. He fell. Alexander had no idea what the man meant. But the atrocity he saw that day changed Alexander. Why did this have to happen. Why?!
Alexander began looking into what had caused this hatred of magic. He found the incident on the Eclipse Project, but it looked strange. Alexander had read enough books to know when something looked fishy. History may be written by the victors, but the information here seemed a little to extremely doctored even for that. Alexander dug and dug, but he never found out the truth. Alexander all but gave up.....
Alexander then went about his life. He became complacent with his life. He continued like this. Living his life normally. Until the day his brother left. Hoga left for the military, without a word, not enjoying his life or the treatment he received from his parents. Hoga leaving was very hard on Alexander. He barely ate or left the library. At the point of exhaustion, Alexander was awakened by a voice. A familiar voice. The old mans voice. He informed Alexander of something that would make him strong. It was a power the man imparted onto Alexander. Memory Make magic. The man saw that Alexander had the ability for it, and he gave Alexander this gift. The memory of the man taught Alexander, and soon, Alexander had memorized his first magic, Earth Magic. Alexander kept this ability a secret, using it more as novelty, despite the mans wishes otherwise.
It wasn't too long later that Alexander received news of his brother. He had died. Honorably in combat, protecting his allies from a monster. His parents didn't think twice, barely caring for Hoga in the first place. Alexander took it harder. He didn't know what to do. Alexander took Hoga's dog tags and boots, and would never take them off.
It was about this time that Alexander began to grow close to his sister Luna. With no one else, Luna was Alexander's only friend. They spent all their time together. Unfortunately, it would not last. On Alexanders 23rd birthday, tragedy struck. Alexander was to become an official political figure that day. Representing his family and the city. But it was not meant to be. Alexander Walked into a scene of chaos as he awoke. A large commotion in the entrance woke him. It was his sister. She was cornered. She could use magic too. A strange Ice Magic. It didn't mean much though, because their father snuck up behind her and stabbed her. As her body fell to the floor, Alexander ran and caught her. Alexander Held his sister in his arms in her last moments. She smiled at him, and asked him to do for her what she couldn't. "Free the mages. I know about you. You can do it."
Alexander asked his parents why. His father responded. "This is what we do with mages." Alexander's rage took over. He let loose his Earth Magic, and destroyed his home. Killing his parents. Alexander has never felt remorse for this. He stormed a government facility. He caused a great deal of destruction, blinded by fury, but he was eventually worn out, and nearly killed, if not saved by a young man. A Shadow Dragon Slayer by the name of Connor. The two became fast friends. They traveled, looking for a safe haven, and after finding one in the country of Desierto, Alexander founded the Guild Fairy Tale, hoping to fulfill his sisters dream.
