Sophia is a soft-spoken girl with a fiesty side if you say the wrong thing to her. She was raised to always act like a lady, ever polite, and also to be a free-spirit. She's a very genial individual who is always looking to make friends and, while it may not be the best, give advice to those who ask for it. She enjoys listening to other people's problems and doesn't mind sitting there while someone spills their heart out to her. When it comes to dealing with her own problems she isn't as open, instead she bottles up what she's really feeling and would rather deal with things alone. She likes to be independent and does things on her own as much as possible, before asking someone else for help she'll try and get the job done her way and will only seek other's help when she has no other choice. A little stubborn obviously, Sophia has the tendency to ignore what other's advise and doesn't listen to advice as quick as she gives it. If you make her angry she'll break her soft voice and yell at you in an instant, but never stays angry for too long, she isn't one to hold grudges. Miss Brooks is a very passionate person and will ignore her own needs to help someone else out, that does make her a bit reckless though. When it comes to romance she's a big mush but after what happened with Lucas she isn't as open with the way she feels. To sum it up Sophia is just a life-loving girl who tries to please everyone and refuses to be reliant on others.
Brief History:
Sophia Brooks was born on May 25th, 1990 to businessman and pediatrician William and Caroline Brooks. She's the youngest out of three children, Liam is the oldest out of the trio, second is Marielle. Together they were born and raised in a small beach town on the east coast of Florida. Growing up Sophia was like any other little girl her age, she attended a Catholic school all throughout elementary and junior high school, but upon becoming a high school freshmen she left the academy and went to regular public school. It was then that she took up the sport of competitive cheerleading, being a complete girly-girl she found it easy to fit right in and enjoy herself. With the new hobby came the chance to travel around the country, which Sophia now got to do often. For the next two years she gave all of her time to cheerleading, and school.
After entering her junior year Sophia met her high school sweetheart Lucas. At this time home was a stressful place to be, the household was being divided up while her parents went through the troublesome process of divorce. The teenager was torn between staying with her father in Florida or leaving with her mother to California where her new boyfriend lived. It was a hard choice but after growing up in Florida her entire life she couldn't leave all of her friends and move to the other side of the country. Staying with her father Sophia watched as both of her siblings left with Caroline. It was a difficult time in her life but Lucas was there every second to brighten her day. The pair stayed together throughout the remainder of high school and even went to the same college where Lucas proposed to Sophia at the beginning of their sophomore year. Without hesitation she said yes and the two planned to get married that Summer. Life seemed like nothing could go wrong, but fate had something else in store for them.
That spring while the wedding was almost finished being planned Lucas was in a fatal car collision with a drunk driver, killed instantly on impact. Sophia was heartbroken and in a state of shock, for a few months she took off from college and invested in therapy to help deal with the sudden loss of the love of her life. She went back home to Florida to deal with the loss and for a while became somewhat of a recluse. Slowly though, after multiple wedding sessions and different medications Sophia started coming out of her depression. Wanting some quiet time to rethink her future she left Florida, against her father's will, who was still unsure of her mental state, she flew to New York City and attended college there. It was around nine o'clock one time in Central Park where Sophia stumbled upon Angelo, bloody and unconscious Once he awoke she took him back to her apartment and helped patch him up. From that night on she started to develop feelings for him but does feel somewhat guilty, like shes betraying Lucas even though he isn't there anymore. At night she still wears the engagement ring he gave to her and is completely unaware of who or what Angelo is.
