Thomas Gareshim, the name of the heir in the Gareshim family, a middle class noble family that lived on an estate near a town in the kingdom of Umaine. From the age of four, Thomas was trained in the art of swordsmanship, however, tales of the runes always kept his mind in another place. He loved the idea of wielding fire more than he did any sword. At birth, he had a weird birthmark that resembled that of a sun with swirls inside of it on his torso where his heart was.
As Thomas aged into his early teens, his birthmark started to sound like the ones from the stories he had heard and indeed it was. As ironic as it may sound, he had the sun rune, the rune to control and manipulate fire. With his cocky attitude, Thomas wasted no time showing of and quickly, everyone loved him. At the age of fifteen, he dropped most of his swordsmanship training and became an entertainer for the towns people. Money and fame poured in from both town members and travelers. It came to a point they worshiped Thomas under the title of Ignis. They believed he was a gift from the gods.
As time progressed, his powers got better and he was able to improve his show. On his nineteenth birthday, Thomas decided he would do something risky, a new move. It ended badly with swirls of fiery balls everywhere. Town houses burned to the ground and crops turned to charcoal. No one was hurt, surprisingly, but Thomas was exiled by everyone. Before he left, his parents bestowed one final gift to him, the sword that was passed down through his family name. With his parents brimming with tears, Thomas made his leave to the capitol of Noapeta where he hoped he could find a new life.
