Appearance
On any given morning you will find Evelyn stumbling out of bed to get ready for the day Here go to hair style is always to blow dry and straighten her hair. Naturally she throws on a park purple or black tank top followed by a jean jacket For the colder days she'll wear a sweatshirt or hoodie. For pants she goes for some dark jeans or black leggings and on occasion wears a short skirt. However, Evelyn doesn't put her entire morning into picking an outfit. Once throwing on what feels comfortable she heads to the bathroom to line her eyes, even out her eyebrows and conceal and acne that may have appeared over night. The last thing she does before leaving the house each morning is apply a dark red color to her lips, and then she is officially ready to face the day.

Personality
Carefree // When Evelyn thinks, she thinks of her own accords. She's not keeping in mind of how her actions will affect other people. She does exactly what she wants to do, which is not always the right thing. What ever Evelyn thinks will make her most happy is what she will follow through with. This trait can be taken either negatively or positively depending on where you stand your relationship with her.
Brazen // At this point in her life there isn't much Evelyn feels ashamed of doing. Having gone through middle school trying to loose her Italian accent while being teased, and starting high school with a brand new mother and sister she just isn't as sensitive as she used to be. Now reaching her senior year Ev's no regrets attitude is hitting it's peak.
Independent // Evelyn has always been this way. She knows how to cook a meal, do laundry, make a bed. She spends more time alone than with friends, and is content with it.

History
Living in Italy, walking distance from the best gelato shops in all of Europe, unique tourist destinations on every corner, handmade clothes beyond compare, sounds like a dream right? Well it wasn't a dream, it was Evelyn's life. A life she's grieved loosing longer than her own mothers death. Evelyn was born in Genoa, Italy to a beautiful Italian women named Donna and an American man called William. Their first apartment as a family stood tucked away in the mountains that lead down to a clear blue ocean. Bringing their baby girl home, Donna and William hadn't loved or cared for anything more in their life. Her, an artist and him, an English-Italian translator, they lived well, a perfectly functioning family. Evelyn attended a private school that gave her the opportunity to speak English as a first language and Italian as a second. She participated mainly just in swimming competitions at school and spent many afternoons on the beach with her friends. Evelyn spent Sunday mornings with her family, learning how to use oil paints like her mother and completing grammar homework to be looked over by her father. The family took spontaneous boating trips and spent evenings on the couch watching Evelyn's choice of movie. Quite a life to live. However it was soon to change not long before Evelyn's 9th and birthday. January 25th, 2006 Evelyn came home to an empty house, confused and worried she waited 3 hours alone for her parents to return. Hearing the sound of her father step through the front door, Evelyn rushed to him crying of how worried she was, he returned the hug, before collapsing onto the couch and explaining that that afternoon Donna had collapsed and died due to an unexplained heart failure. No doctor in the area, had been able to help, no medicine strong enough. Their family had shattered and no one was strong enough to pick up the pieces. Evelyn's father announced they would uproot and move to America, to be closer to his family, only days after the funeral. Leaving Eva still in grief and less than ready to start new in a foreign country.

Moving to Ohio was the nightmare any small 9 year old girl could imagine. Evelyn's attitude and lifestyle shifted instantly leaving her with very few friends and below average grades. She hated and still hates the town she now resides in. As high school began her father fell in love again, and Evelyn was granted the sister she never wanted. Now, 5 years later, she's on the verge of graduating high school with this girl, and things simple aren't the same as they have always been.

Sophia stretched as she sat up in her bed. She always woke up just a few minutes before her alarm went off at 7:15. Getting up, she walked to the bathroom in her pink pajamas. She got into the shower and got out about 15 minutes later, brushed her teeth, and got dressed in a lace top with a flowy flower skirt and leggings underneath. Lastly, she put on her necklace that Oscar had given her for their 2 year anniversary. Walking down to the kitchen, her mother was washing dishes and greeted her. Sophia grabbed a banana from the basket of fruit on the kitchen table and ate it semi-quickly. Picking up her backpack, she said goodbye to her mother and began her 10 minute walk to Magnolia High.

Upon reaching the school, Sophia greeted those she passed on the way to her locker, smiling sweetly as she always did. She headed inside to her locker and placed her backpack inside, seeing a note from Oscar within the space. She smiled, closed her locker, and taking it into the bathroom to read it, just to be safe.

Cassidy sat on the bathroom counter top, legs crossed, face only inches away from the glass. Plucking her eyebrows was serious business - any mistake would give her at least two weeks of humiliating looks and judgmental laughs. With the precision and dexterity of a surgeon, she pulled out the last unwanted hair before filling them out with an eyebrow pencil and sighing with relief. She was finally done with her face. Cassidy hopped off the counter and took a few steps back to look over the finished product. She'd been up for at least an hour and a half - probably earlier than most teens got up to go to school - because it took some time to look like you "woke up this way."

Finally satisfied with her face, Cassidy sprayed her wavy hair with some hair spray before walking over to her bed where she'd already laid out some clothes. She'd recently went shopping with some friends and was excited to wear a new white crop top she'd bought. Pulling it on carefully - it'd be a shame to mess up an hour's worth of make up - she paired the shirt with some ripped skinny jeans and black dr. martins.

Cassidy grabbed her backpack and phone, then cut off the lights. She wasn't in a rush to get to school, but the sooner she left, the more time she could spend with Evelyn. Even if it was just a car ride. Their relationship wasn't exactly public at the moment, and it tended to limit when and where they could act like an actual couple.

Of course they could just tell everyone, but that's besides the point...

Cassidy stopped by Evelyn's door and knocked on it rapidly. "Ready to go whenever," Cassidy smiled, then made her way downstairs to the kitchen. Her mom, already downstairs putting some dishes away, started to say something to her before Cassidy cut her off. "Relax," Cassidy teased, grabbing a muffin without even breaking her stride. She knew the drill. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, you shouldn't skip breakfast, blah blah blah. Before she knew it, she was outside leaning against the passenger side of Eve's car.

With the abrupt sound of a buzzer Evelyn was awake and stumbling around her room, eyes still closed, lights still of, changing into her outfit for the day. She felt her way through the closet as opposed to turning the light on, and picked out a pair of black leggings to go with a dark blue sweatshirt that was pulled off the top shelf. Ev was caught of guard for a second when Cassidy knocked on her door. The knocked caused her to nearly fall as she crossed the room to her desk. She switched the small light, looking into the mirror at herself, still half asleep. And then applied eye shadow lazily, lined her eyes with a black pencil (the most important thing), and a bit of mascara to finish it off. Having straightened her hair yesterday, Evelyn brushes it into place and decides it would be good enough to last another day. With one last look in the mirror she applied her favorite dark red lip gloss and made her way downstairs.

Descending down the long white staircase, She could already hear her step-mother busy at work in the kitchen. Her father had left early that morning for work, leaving his wife alone in the house to make sure their two daughters made it out the door. Evelyn liked to keep conversations short with this women, especially in the morning, and so a hello and good morning were exchanged quickly as she grabbed her bag and then swung the door open out to the garage.

"Hey" Evelyn said simply, smiling for the first time today. She made her way to Cassidy, her backpack banging against the garage wall several times, in the tight space. "That's new" She looks down at her step-sisters crop top feeling the edge of the fabric. "Well, I guess we better go." Evelyn seems to speak in simple terms, at least at this time in the morning, it's only to be expected. She quickly gives Cassidy a kiss on the lips before running around the car and sliding into the drivers seat. School not being to far away, they soon reach their destination, Magnolia High School.

"What, this?" Cassidy asked, feigning surprise with exaggerated movements, "wore it just for you, babe." She kissed her back before opening the passenger side door and getting into the car. She'd be lying if she said it didn't make her feel good whenever Eve noticed something new she bought, or if she'd done something a little different with her look. Cassidy tried pretty hard to look as best as she could - in public, at least. It took some of the stress off when someone paid a little attention. She leaned back in her seat comfortably, closing her eyes and letting the sun warm her face. Before she knew it they were at the school.

Cassidy stretched her arms a bit before grabbing her bag and stepping out of the car. The first part of the school day was always somewhat rough for Cassidy. She didn't hate school, or mornings, or not sleeping in. She just felt like it killed her mood getting to be one person at home, then acting like someone else at school. Watching Eve get out of the car, she felt somewhat guilty. Regardless of whether or not they could be seen, she wouldn't take the risk of kissing her goodbye or even hugging, really. "I guess I'll see you later," she nodded before turning on her heels and walking straight into the school. She greeted a couple people as she made her way to her locker and grabbed the books she actually need.

Eventually Cassidy made her way to class. There was still a little time left before she actually had to do something productive, so she pulled out her phone and finished her muffin after finding a seat in the back of the class.

Upon their arrival at school Cassidy was quick to exit the car and make her way towards the building. "Yup" Evelyn muttered watching her girlfriend stride with confidence into the school. It was hard watching her go every morning, watching her be so incredibly paranoid that they couldn't even walk to the door together. At least it was a quick goodbye and the pain was short lived as Ev snapped out of her trance. She pulled her backpack over her shoulder and locked the car before following the same path Cassidy had taken through the main entrance.

Inside students buzzed around, standing next to open lockers, exchanging homework answers, and gossiping. Evelyn took the nearest staircase up the the second floor, where her locker was located. She spun the dial quickly and swung the door open. One of Cassidy's close friends passed her and she stuff her backpack into the locker. "Cassidy here today?" The girl asked, her flowery scent leaving a trail as she passed. "Yes" Ev responded with out looking up. This exchange of conversation happened weekly and especially on game days ...because God forbid the girl missed a game... Evelyn shut the locker and made her way down the hall towards first period.

Sophia slipped into the girls restroom, gently placing the note in her pocket as she pushed the door open. There were two girls already in there primping themselves in the mirror, applying what makeup they didn't, or couldn't, do at home. The two girls smiled at Sophie as they saw her enter.
"Hey, Sof!" The blonde girl said in greeting, "You coming to the game on Friday?
"Hey, Angela. I haven't decided yet. Maybe." Angela was a cheerleader and always trying to get Sophia to either come to games or to join the squad. Though she was in track and field, Sophia never really liked cheerleading.Angela was one of the nice girls on the team, though Sophia wasn't sure if she was only nice to her because she wanted her to join the team or if she just genuinely liked her. Whatever the reason, Sophia didn't mind having another friend.
"You better! We've been practicing a new routine and I'd love to hear your opinion."
"She can always see it at the Pep Rally tomorrow, Ange."
"I know, Beth. But you know my brother. He's always asking about you, Sof.
"Ugh, Ben is such a creep!"
Angela giggled, "I know."
Ben was Angela's twin brother and had been one of Sophia's bullies during middle school. He was constantly teasing her about her braces or how short she was and would often trip her in the halls if she walked past him. Once they hit high school, however, and Sophia had flowered, his demeanor towards her changed. He was suddenly finding any excuse to talk to her, trying to get his sister to talk her into coming to sporting events, him being on the football team, and even attempting to write her love letters. None were ever as good as Oscar's. Sophia, however, never forgot the way he was in their younger days. She never would.

"He knows I'm not looking for a relationship, right?" Sophia asked.
"I've only told him a million different ways. But you know boys; always horndogs until they can get some and then it's on to the next conquest." Angela replied, putting on lipstick, "Anyway, Beth and I are gonna head to homeroom. See you later?
"Yep. Have a good day." Sophia smiled as Beth and Angela exited the room. Now she finally had time to read Oscar's note. Her heart thumped in her chest, as it always did when thinking of him. Unfolding the note, she began reading the poem Oscar had written out. She loved his penmanship. At the end of the note, he posed a question,
"I miss you so much-are you free to visit at some point today?"
She smiled, taking her phone out and texting him.

"Got your note. Can sign out for lunch. Meet in the usual place?
I love you!
-S

Their usual place was a few minutes away within the woods down the hill from the school. Nobody really went into that area, especially during school hours, so it was the perfect place to meet with no hope of being spotted. Even if they heard someone coming, there were plenty of places to hide. It was also quite romantic. She placed the note back into her pocket and stepped into a stall to use it. Once she was in there, she noticed graffiti on the wall. A little note written in pencil, luckily.

Would bang Mr. Everett. Hottie!!!!

Sophia quickly took out a pencil and quickly erased the note. She knew other students pined for Oscar, but despite his feelings solely for her, she couldn't help but feel a bit jealous and insecure about it. After finishing up in the stall, she washed her hands and headed out into the hall, awaiting her meeting later. But first, it was on to homeroom with her peers.
