Name: Ashleigh Jade Foster
Nickname: Ash
Age: 18
Major: English
Sexuality: Heterosexual
House: Theta Chi
Thoughts on being a Theta: "It's pretty fun...everyone in the house cares as much about their studies as I do, which is a bonus."

Likes:
  • Reading - this is her biggest hobby, and she spends as much time as she can doing so. Mainly romance novels, as deep down she's a hopeless romantic, but not many people know that.
  • Studying - this is mainly because she cares a LOT for her grades, so unlike her brother, study comes first.
  • Spending time with her friends - Ashleigh may not be one of the popular girls, but she still has a small circle of friends and enjoys going to places with them, talking to them, and being there for them.
  • Music - from a young age, Ashleigh has adored music, and this love has passed through into her teenage years.
  • Makeup - mainly, she enjoys doing makeup for other girls when they ask her to, as she is skilled with such tasks and she tries her best to make people look even more amazing than they normally do. She does not wear makeup herself, as she's frightened of becoming dependant on it, but she is quite happy with the way she looks so doesn't feel the desire to alter her own appearance.
  • Babies and children - while still shy, Ashleigh comes out of her shell when she is around children. Through spending time with them she can be silly, let her hair down and act the way she wants without worrying what people will think of her and who will see, which is something she longs for.
  • Confidence - this is possibly because of the lack of confidence and self-esteem she has, but she is really drawn to those who are sure of themselves and see themselves as worth something. Not people that are arrogant or self-obsessed, but just people who are happy in their own skin.
  • Bad boys - more of a weakness than a like, men who can be described as 'bad boys' are the men Ashleigh commonly falls for. And when Ashleigh falls, she falls HARD. She's not DEPENDENT on the people she dates, and usually she can't spend a lot of time with them due to her shy nature, but when she is dating someone or has a crush on someone like that, she does not see sense. Whether the boy is a thief, someone with a violent nature, someone who uses girls for their own personal gain, someone who is argumentative and angry with the world, or someone who is obviously going to cheat on her and break her heart, she is too naive to notice it and pretends it's not true. It is thought that by immediately falling for boys who are considered dangerous, Ashleigh is just desperately trying to find someone who'll just break through and pull her out of her shell.
  • Fairytale princesses and dresses - one thing Ashleigh has always been obsessed with is fairytales. And the main thing about them that fascinates her is the scene in each where the heroine of the story transforms into a beautiful princess, with a tiara, jewellery, and most of all, the amazing dress each wears. It's because of this that she cannot help herself when it comes to dresses...if it's beautiful, she HAS to own it, and she still lives in hope that one day she'll be like one of those princesses herself.

Dislikes:
  • Mean people - she spent her earlier years being constantly bullied, so now she just has no time for people with a cruel streak.
  • Being bored - she spends a lot of time being on her own to begin with, due to the fact she struggles to make friends, and it's even worse for her when she's bored.
  • Rap music - this is the one type of music that Ashleigh just doesn't get. To her, it's just noise.
  • Feeling ill - feeling under the weather is a bad thing to feel to begin with, but for Ashleigh, it's almost unbearable.
  • Rain - this dislike is mainly because when Ashleigh goes out and it is raining, she comes home soaked, cold and regrets leaving in the first place.
  • Wind - for the same reason as the rain: cold, miserable and unpleasant.
  • Bacon - even the smell of bacon is enough to make her feel ill...it seems like an odd food hatred, but she cannot STAND the stuff.

Fears:
  • Being humiliated - whether it be by falling when there are people around, being asked out on a date and then finding out it was a joke or a dare, or just having people ridicule something she is wearing or something she is doing...this TERRIFIES Ashleigh and is one of the main reasons she is so quiet...she feels that if she doesn't associate with many people they will not be able to hurt her.
  • Being kidnapped - not only kidnap itself, but also being mugged, held at gunpoint, sexually assaulted...anything that would result in permanent emotional damage.
  • Becoming dependant on makeup - her mother being a prime example, Ashleigh has been around girls all her life who have worn makeup SO much that they NEED it to look pretty. And she doesn't want it to ever come to that for her.
  • Having her heart broken - more than anything, THIS is the one thing Ashleigh fears the most. Being the romance-lover she is, she always feels like relationships should have a happy ending, and the scariest thing for her is for that not to be the case.

Personality: Ashleigh is a smart young girl with a naturally quiet nature, often found in the library or alone on the campus grounds with her head buried in a book. She is a good listener and likes to help others, and would rather be on her own studying or spending time with her small circle of friends from her houe than out on the town with some of the other girls in Fulton.
Often, people read her as just antisocial, but in fact she is just incredibly shy and timid, a factor about herself she wishes didn't exist. More than anything, Ashleigh just wants to be successful and live a good life, and one of the most important things for her is to get married and start a family with the right man.
She is friendly enough when people get to know her, but it takes a lot to bring that side of her out into the open. It's well worth it when you do, though.
As of yet, Ashleigh is still what can be referred to as 'untouched', meaning she is still a virgin. That WOULD be fine with her, but it's due to the fact that most people on campus are aware of it and make fun of her about it that she wishes she wasn't. Even though she is still only young, knowing that some girls on the campus aren't celibate and are treated more like adults than she is, along with the fact that she can be easily manipulated into doing what others want her to do, has been the major cause of her wanting to just 'get it over with' and grow up.
Ashleigh also plays acoustic guitar as well as the piano, and has always been very musical. Her favourite part of music is the lyrics, as she says that they're incredibly beautiful, and when they're meaningful, they're special.
Another thing she is is quite socially awkward. Whereas she can speak normally to people she knows well, if someone she doesn't know that well talks to her she will stutter, blush, possibly shake and accidentally make a fool of herself, due to her lack of confidence. She knows SOME people may find it endearing, but to her it's not. To her, it's something she should hate about herself.

History:Ashleigh was brought into the world as a planned baby, unlike her older brother Jace. Growing up, her life was relatively normal...her father a full-time worker at a local law firm, and her mother playing the role of proud housewife, caring for both of her children. She would spend the day with them, doing activities such as baking, reading and playing games until their father would get home and do the same.
One thing Ashleigh took to very early on was reading. When her mother would give her storytime with a book she had heard before, she would quickly catch on to the storyline and characters, often being very inquisitive and opinionated about events and such going on throughout. This would usually just be responded to by her mother with a soft smile and a nod, followed by more comments from Ashleigh and the cycle would repeat.
Although as a very young child she was quite confident and loud, when she started school, she began to become less this way. Not being used to spending time with a lot of other children, she seemed to be constantly left out of things by them in the classroom, so would usually just go off into a quiet corner by herself and open up a book. Often she would come home and, when asked about what had happened that day by her parents, would reply with an in-depth analysis of the book that she had read and all the different things that happened, more so enthusiastic about her reading than about playing with the other school children.
As Ashleigh transformed from a toddler into a slightly older child as she started what she had previously called 'big kid school', she began to become more aware of things around her, in particular, academic opportunities. Never one to shy away from doing something she was passionate about, she would enroll herself in all sorts of extra-curricular activities, in the hope that when the time came for her to leave school and start work, she would be well-prepared and be considered as better than the rest. This behavior was encouraged by her father, who would constantly pressure her into thinking about studies rather than about making friends and forming relationships. Deep down, she knew she would have been happier giving herself even a small social life with others around her, but was simply just too shy at that point to start forming friendships, so just continued to get her head down and study.
When she turned thirteen, Ashleigh started to notice something she had never before noticed: Boys. Whereas before she would have moved away if one attempted to speak to her, making a comment about how she would catch cooties, she now somehow WANTED their affection...WANTED them to notice her. Which, again, was something discouraged by her dad. So, still being a slightly rebellious teenager at that point, she developed a new-found affection for boys who would get her into trouble. Although none of them ever took any notice of her, she would use the imagination she had gained from all the reading and story-writing she had done to create multiple scenarios that would result in her pulling further away from her father, as it is PRECISELY what he wouldn't have wanted for her.
When she was considering moving to one of the houses on campus, the first one to catch her eye was the Theta Chi house. The girls already in that house when it came to pledging resembled older versions of her; girls who valued studies, intelligence and had the desire to do great things in their lives. To her, it was perfect. To her...it was HOME.

Juliet VanCamp

Carefully applying yet more lipgloss to her lips while looking into the little compact mirror she held in her other hand, Juliet smoothly ducked under the arm of a young boy - possibly a pledge, but she had no idea - into the Auditorium. Her body brushed against his slightly and she quickly flinched away, mouthing the word "Ew" without actually saying it aloud, but she didn't think he minded. Judging from his expression, anyway. He was probably just pleased he got to touch her on his first day. And, she had to admit...he wasn't that bad looking. So she gave him a small, cheeky smile, flicked her hair over her shoulder and carried on. Juliet had no reason to say thankyou - as far as she was concerned, she deserved this kind of treatment - but, again...something this boy didn't seem to take any notice of.
She had previously been smiling, but that smile wilted when she looked around the auditorium and saw it's lack of people she associated with. Was she really the first Alpha here? And where were all the Betas? Sigmas?
The last thought stopped her, and she quickly pushed it to the back of her mind. "You know Natalie told you to stay away from any Sigma boys. It'll ruin you." She muttered quietly to herself, as she made her way up the steps towards the back of the Auditorium. She'd remembered Natalie's instructions well...she just wasn't sure she wanted to follow them. In all honesty, she preferred the Sigmas to the Betas, in some ways. For the first thing, those boys liked to party. And sex. They liked sex. So it was no suprise they were her go-to-guys for that kind of thing. There were a few Beta guys that interested her - mainly Jacob, their President - but all in all, she preferred the Sigmas. They were just...bad, for lack of a better description.
But still. None of them were here yet. She was alone for now.
"Fun times..." She remarked with a small huff, a sarcastic tone to her voice, and took her seat, tossing her small pink bag down onto the seat next to her; after all, there was no way she was putting it down on the floor.

Ashleigh Jade Foster

Walking through the campus towards the Auditorium, Train's '50 Ways To Say Goodbye' playing from her earphones into her head, Ashleigh Jade smiled slightly to herself. Looking around, she wasn't as nervous as she'd been before the academic year started anymore. Maybe this year wouldn't be so bad after all...she would have to make sure she avoided Natalie Greyson, Juliet VanCamp and the rest of the Alphas, and actually, her Sophomore year could be kind of fun. She had a whole year of time with her best friends (her Theta Chi sisters), her big brother Jace, and possibly maybe even a boy or two. Okay, two was probably pushing it, but...one, she hoped. She hadn't really had any male attention beforehand...or at least, anything she currently knew about, and she was ready to make it happen this year. She just needed to get over the shyness.
She had one particular guy in mind, but...judging from their housing differences and just their general personality contrasts, she doubted he'd ever have any feelings for her. So she'd probably just have to see where this year took her before she made any major decisions.
It wasn't as if she was saying she would settle for anyone - after all, if she did get a boyfriend, she'd have to recieve a major change to her body. And she wanted the right person. There was no settling involved when it came to that.
Quickly being pulled away from her thoughts, she accidentally bumped into someone and dropped her bag onto the floor, the entire contents spilling out and covering the floor. With the constant stimulation of her mind combined with the constant stream of music she'd been hearing, she'd completely forgotten to watch out for passers by.
"S-s-sorry..." She squeaked, quickly gathering her things and looking back up, only to be pleasantly suprised by the floppy blonde hair and warm smile of her older brother Jace Foster. "Oh...it's you. In that case, I'm so not sorry." She teased, a bright smile creeping onto her face.
Jace laughed softly, wrapping his arm around his younger sister's shoulders and pulling her towards the door of the Auditorium.
"C'mon, Barbie...another school year awaits..." He grinned, waving towards some of his friends as he led his baby sister over.
"I actually prefer to be referred to as Polly Pocket. Barbie's just so...mainstream." Ashleigh's true self was beginning to come out now, and she, for the first time this year, felt completely comfortable.
"Barbie's clothes are harder to get off, too..." Jace winked, and Ashleigh immediately thumped him in the arm.
"Hey!" She squeaked, pouting slightly. "That's just so uncalled for. You're my brother. You're supposed to stick up for my life choices...not ridicule them in front of me."
"Nah...I'm pretty sure it's the last one I'm supposed to do." Jace said with a smile, opening the door to the Auditorium.

Bambi Michelle Nicholson

The dark bags underneath Bambi's eyes had been thankfully easy enough to cover with makeup, although it took her a while to do so. They actually weren't too bad, to be honest...she'd been a lot worse many times before. But she still felt a little shitty - clearly, last night wasn't a good night for a party - and because of that, she just wasn't in a great mood. Sitting at the front of the Auditorium, arms crossed and surveying the crowd of people who were already here, she just wanted to be back in bed. She liked sleep. She loved rushing week, however, so it was all worth it. It would just take her a little time to fully wake herself up, that's all.
"And here's to another year of getting completely shitfaced, making memories and going down in Fulton history." She said quietly to herself, a small smile on her face, and put her earphones in, shoving her iPod into her pocket.

Karma Chen

Karma's pearly white teeth exposed in a small smile as she strutted into the Auditorium, her hot pink pumps clicking against the floor. Her silky brown hair bounced with her steps as she looked around the room. She loved the start of a new year. The whole experience was amazing. She could clearly remember when she pledged Alpha. 'What a year that was...' she thought. Her mind switched to Nat, the Queen Bee of the Alphas. Though she loved her, Karma knew that Nat could be very cruel when it came to pledges. The asian girl shivered at the thought of some of the stuff Nat did the previous year. Thank God that Nat wasn't in charge when Karm was pledging.

A surge of vibrations in her pocket interrupted Karma's thoughts and she slipped her hand into it to grab her phone. She quickly tapped the phone's screen and entered her password, grinning at her screensaver, an adorable picture of the guys from One Direction. "Why are they so perfect?" She asked aloud, before going to check her messages. It was a text from her Aunt Diana, her mother's sister.

'Have a great start to the year, Sweetheart!'

Karma grinned as she typed a quick response and sent it, looking around the room. Where was everyone? It was almost like a ghost town in there. She looked back to her phone, typing another message and sending it to Nat.

Aye bitch! Get your skinny blonde ass to the auditorium or i'm going to wax ur eyebrows while ur sleeping
XOXO

After her text was sent, Karma saw Juliet and a huge grin came to her face. "Hey!" She said, waving dramatically from a distance. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a blonde head come into the room. She turned and her face lit up at the sight of Ashleigh Foster. "Hey there, cutie!" She cheered before rushing up to the Theta and hugging her. "You know-" she said, letting go of the other girl. "Did you get prettier since the last time we saw each other? You must've because you are more aborbs that usual." Karma looked past the blonde girl and saw her brother, Jace. "Hey Jace." She smiled at him, waving.

Mario Santiago

Mario sighed as he walked to the Auditorium, taking small sips from the paper coffee cup in his hand. It really wasn't a good idea to go to a party the night before. It wasn't the worst hangover in the world, but the small panging in his head was enough to make him a teenie bit grumpy. He reached the door to the Auditorium and gave himself a good slap on the face before opening the door. "Wake up alittle." Mario said to himself. "You ready? Yes you are." He slightly jumped up and down and shook himself, most likely making quite the spectical if anyone was watching him.

He opened the door and saw Karma, Jace, and Ashleigh close by. He walked around them, but not before giving a friendly smile and a wave. Mario quickly took a seat and placed his coffee on the chair next to him, reserving it for Lacey. He smiled when he thought of his best friend. He could never think of why they got along so well, but they did. Maybe it was just for the simple fact that they were both genuine people. Maybe it was their love for music. Maybe it was just because they could talk to each other for hours. Mario shrugged and gave up trying to think of a reason. He didn't need one.

He took out his phone and texted Lacey.

Hey :) saving a spot for u. hurry up and get here. He looked up before he finished the text, seeing that one cute guy, Kyle, sitting up in his seat. He added to the text before sending the whole thing to Lacey. we get a good view of a hottie btw ;) U may want to wear a dress. just a suggestion lol.

Ariana walked on the school's campus with a Starbucks coffee in her hand as she walked towards the auditorium. As she walked she kept wondering if her outfit looked okay, she was all about a good first impressions and her first year. People either liked her, hated her, or didn't really know her well enough to judge her well. Honestly, she didn't care though. She sipped her white chocolate coffee from her cup, looking around she saw alot of new faces, some you could tell wheat house they were going to pledge to. But, some surprised you. Like herself, pledging Theta surprised a lot of people especially her parents seeing that they thought she'd pledge Zeta or even Alpha. But, she was happy where she was. She even happier not to be a freshmen anymore, she survived with her friend AJ by her side. Now, all they had were three more years to go.

Anyway, walking into the large area. She looked around for anyone she might know. Looking around she saw two, two close friends. Her friend, Juliet and Ashleigh. She smiled as she walked up beside Ashleigh and tapped her shoulder. "Hola, chica. Como estas?" She said before hugging her from behind. She waved at Karma and hugged her too, she was close to a lot of girls. And the ones she wasn't close to were mainly people she couldn't stand anyway. She looked at Ash's brother, Jace and had a small smile. They weren't close but, she wasn't going to be rude to him just because she didn't agree with his.... attitude. Hello, Karma, Jace." She messed with her hair before rubbing her eyes from being so tired from flying so much over the summer.

OCC: Others to come soon after.
