ACME NABIERRE -Urban Legends-
Cackling Chamelan 2 - NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams
Age: ???
Gender: Male
Specie: Muse
Physical Description: He appears to be some sort of toony raccoon, clad in a blue top hat, white gloves, a red-ribbon bowtie, and blue shoes. An azure zigzag runs along his torso, with two same-colored circles above it in the front.
Personality: A cheeky smart-aleck. He goes by his own code of conduct, looking to the ends more than the means. He's very whimsical and carefree, besides, enjoying his time.
History: Lately, a few children have mysteriously disappeared from Blitzerph without a trace. It seems likely that the culprit is this wily muse. However, he refuses to answer any questions and responds with cannonade and wheels and other relentless thingamabobbers. It seems what we see of him isn't the real Nabierre, but rather a shell cast around himself for protection, much like a costume.
Equipment: N/A
Abilities: As a muse, Nabierre generates imagination energy and manifests it into all sorts of tools, like ball-launching guns, falling junk from nowhere, etc.
Other: N/A
Specific Moves
- Bang!: Whips out a comically-large revolver and fires up to three baseball-sized projectiles forth.
- Flat Follies: Goes flat. Good for evading most attacks. Using again will inflate him for a sudden strike.
- Packin' Heat: Seems to zip out of view, then reappears in the same spot (on the ground if he's in the air). If a Silver Screen is up, he'll burst out of it in a Feature Presentation attack.
- Blockhead Buster: Attempts to kick a football, but falls on his back, dealing a tumbling kick and sending the ball bouncing low.
- Bad Luck Nabby: Makes a short whistle, but the noise continues as a shadow gradually grows over the foe. At the right time, something will come crashing down on the foe. It disappears if Nabierre is hit, though.
- Dat Acme Clock: Winds up an alarm clock, then sets it on the ground. After a given amount of time, it will explode. Using the same input will make Nabierre extend its time further.
- Pow!: Nabierre's revolver projects a long striking weapon, be it a sword, a boxing glove, or whatever.
- Painting the Wall: Tosses paintballs into the fabric of space, then disappears to one of them. It's a guessing game as to where he's hiding.
- Boxcar Nabby: Rushes forth on a little car. Careful, it can be broken.
- My Little Shadow: Nabierre's shadow comes to life for a few attacks. It can either deliver an uppercut, a back attack, or act as a counterattack shield.
- Nabby Bust: A Trance ability that summons a statue of Nabierre. With certain attacks, he can send it sliding forth, make it topple, whittle it piece by piece, etc.
- Jubilizer: A Trance ability that generates a cannon. Attacking it will aim it and make it fire rockets.
- Silver Screen: A Trance ability that manifests a projector screen in midair. Can link with his Packin' Heat dodge maneuver.
- Port-A-Pitfall: A Trance ability that generates an invisible portal in the ground. If a foe steps on it, they'll fall into it and come crashing down from above.
- Nabby's Choo-Choo: (Style Lore) Leaps away and returns in a big train engine, ramming the foe.
- Lion In The Vicinity?!: (Style Lore) After being held, his shadow emerges in the form of a giant lion, striking all near it.
- Pop Goes the Numbskull: (Style Lore) Scoops his foe into a jack-in-the-box, then winds it up until it sends him/her flying like a cannonball.
- Muse Transcendence: (Legend Lore) Bursts away his shell, revealing his true form as the fragments create a giant tornado, sucking the foe in as he unleashes a blast of imagination energy.
- Outta the Ballpark: (Final Lore) An extension to a basic grab, he'll swing the foe around, toss him/her upward, then strike him/her far away with an oversized baseball bat.

Trivia
- The raccoon totem symbolizes things like curiosity, exploration, and keeping secrets - traits that relate well with Nabierre.
- The act of stealing children away is a common MO for many European fairies. It's also something done by Peter Pan, the mysterious youth of Neverland. Ironically, Nabierre has another thing in common with Peter Pan - his shadow tends to have a mind of its own.
- Blockhead Buster is a play on "blockbuster" (a really great movie) and "blockhead" (a name that Lucy van Pelt often calls Charlie Brown). The latter is the basis of the attack.
- Bad Luck Nabby is named after and based on a short called Bad Luck Blackie, where a cat finds a mysterious whistle that summons falling objects on his dog rival.
- Dat Acme Clock is named for the meme "Dat Alarm Clock", which involves Peter Griffin's Palistenian alarm clock shouting something before exploding.
- The move Lion In The Vicinity?! comes from one of Aesop & Son's episodes, "The Dog and his Shadow". The shadow saves the dog from a dogcatcher by looking like a large lion. The catcher reacted as such: "According to the laws of physics, if there's a terrifying shadow of a lion cast upon a wall, then it naturally follows that a lion is in the near vicinity!"
- The zigzag line on his torso isn't for show - it's actually the seam of his shell, which protects the real Nabierre within. In essence, what people generally see of Nabierre is his outer shell.
