Suddenly, a large indigo serpent swooped down from the air, right through the group!

"Whoa - !" Red barely managed to jump back, and ended up falling on her backside.

"Waaah - !" Wario also stumbled onto his hiney.

Rainbow Dash managed to swerve away from the snake's path, and Valentine just stepped back from it (swiftly).

Pete's lower half was sticking out one of the portals in the air. The snake chuckled as she shifted that portal (with Pete's rear) in front, blocking the shots and kunai (and Red's homing fireball) with Pete's hiney.

You stand before Cessare of the Chaos. It will take more than that to lay even a finger on me!

"Cessare of the Chaos, huh?" Wario snarked. "Well, have some-a Wario of the Hurting!" Wario jumped at Cessare with his classic shoulder-charging Wario Attack...but Cessare summoned another portal, catching him in it. Another portal appeared right behind, making Wario loop through the two. "Uh...oh no, this is bad." Cessare giggled as she turned the portals so that Wario is no longer charging horizontally, but falling downward through the portals. He began falling faster and faster and faster...!

Claptrap seemed to have been falling down on Cessare's head...if its head was there! Nope, in its place, there was an open hole in its neck, lined with razor-sharp teeth!

As for the head, it was floating in front of Rainbow Dash and Spike, snickering.

"Why you...!" Rainbow Dash growled. "I...I'm not afraid of you, you fat worm!!" With that, the pony sprinted toward the head, Spike clinging on for dear life. However, the head's eyes glowed, causing Rainbow Dash's trajectory to tilt straight for the ground. "!!!" This caused her and Spike to collide into the ground, indented in a crater.

Not afraid? Somehow, I doubt that.

"AAAHHH!!!!!!" Claptrap rolls away while falling and hits the ground hard with his metallic body, "Oh my god... T--That was crazy...! It's like my life is flashing before my very eye... It's like I'm being attacked by a demigod... Crap! Crap! CRAP!!"

"Well, our weapons are useless against an enormous adversary. How are we going to get the key shard?" Qwark shrugged and is stumped at the moment.

"I don't know- killing that fucking thing is the only thing I know." Leilanie replied.

"How about we bribe it?" Claptrap suggested, "Give that demigod a little something and we get something in return. It'll be easy."

"That won't work, rustbucket!" Leilanie slapped Claptrap, "We already attacked the serpant- how the hell are we supposed to bribe it- huh?!"

"Oh come on! I can exchange Pete for a key shard! He can be the demigod's loyal servant or something."

"NOT ON YOUR LIFE, BUCKETHEAD!!!" Pete screamed.

"Between you and me, I really don't like Pete than you guys. I saw him tried to turn one of my deceased friends into a toaster."

"AWW- Ya still can't get over that, huh?! It was a king-sized toaster that toasts eight breads at once." Pete remarked, "And they taste like flavored fusion energy."

"BARBARIAN!!!!" Claptrap screamed.

"Hey- that's my line!" Leilanie slapped Claptrap again.

"It's obvious that we can't just shoot directly at this thing and hope to win," said Ramses to Ganymede. "It's got too many portals around for that. Go jump through a few."

"Are you insane?" asked Ganymede.

"This thing just called itself something of chaos," said Ramses. "Crazy is exactly how we need to think."

"I could die!" complained Ganymede.

"Pete and the robot went through," said Ramses. "And they're fine. What's the worst that could happen?"

Ganymede sighed.

"Fine," he said. "I suppose it's all I can offer at this point..."

With that Ganymede jumped through the nearest portal, and Ramses kept a close eye on wherever he ended up.

Ganymede entered the portal...and came out of Cessare's body's new mouth! Most of the other portals (except the one holding Pete's lower half and the ones looping Wario) vomited up several strange bladed tentacles. Rainbow Dash and Spike nearly lost their cool upon the sight of this - especially when one of these tentacly portals started shifting toward them!

"Okay, this stopped being funny long before...!" Red growled as she hurled a blade at the tentacles...only to phase through it, as if the tentacles were phantasmal. "{grumble} ...Of course you'd do that."

"...Wait, if that went through, then - " Rainbow Dash's hopeful theory crashed when those same tentacles grabbed and restrained Spike.

"AAAAAH!! L-Let go!!" Spike screamed as he tried to squirm.

"H-e-y, n-u-r-s-e!" Wario shouted as he looped through the twin portals. "H-o-w-z-a c-o-m-e y-o-u-'-r-e n-o-t d-o-i-n-g a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g??"

Red recalled her lost blade via magic. "Lardtub's got a point, Valentine!"

Valentine was just staring at Cessare, contemplating her next move. It seems she's close to getting an idea, though...
