Colonel (V2)

POWER! UNLIMITED POWER!

0 · 379 views · located in Bandits' Underground

a character in “Fusion Fantasy Neo”, as played by Alexander von Koopa

Description

Theme – This Battle Is To The Strong

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Age: 35 (Relative to human years)

Gender: Male

Race: Tyranitar (Technically)

Alignment: Lawful Evil

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Physical Description: Colonel has the body shape of a Mewtwo (although at least two feet taller) and the spiny skin of a Tyranitar. Often floating off the ground, he’s more than happy to use his massive size for intimidation purposes.
Full Body: http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/1001/8u0w.png

Personality: Colonel is, pure and simple, a violent brute, doing what he’s told as long as he can bask in the glory of battle and death. Fancying himself an executioner, Colonel is impulsive, often ignoring orders or demands so he can focus on killing.

... Or at least that's the image that Fatum would like to give people. He's actually more civilized with a strict code of honor, and while he does enjoy the feel of combat, he doesn't like to harm "innocents" and doesn't go off on his own solely to kill people.

History: Colonel was one of Wendell Spire’s Pokémon, much like Estrella, but he was planted there by Fatum, who wanted a spy in Estrella’s ranks. Soon becoming her lieutenant in her army, Colonel volunteered to mutate his body into a legendary Pokémon – Mewtwo, in his case. The process failed and he became a freak of nature, but he embraced his change and kept working for Fatum as long as he didn’t get bored. Once Estrella disbanded the Green Cave army, he carried on his psychotic work like nothing ever happened. Now he works alongside Viv and Bella, doing some mission probably long abandoned by Fatum… not that Colonel minds.

Equipment: Colonel fights purely with his brute strength… and Pokémon powers.

Abilities: As a Tyranitar, Colonel fights using raw physical blows, and techniques such as Bite, Thunder, Surf, Earthquake, and Outrage. As a Mewtwo he gained psychic powers to go along with them, but they’re pure brute force, nothing subtle.

Other: While he may be the muscle Colonel isn’t particularly stupid in the sense that he can’t add two and two. He’s just so focused on killing the guilty that asking him to do something more complex is a fool’s errand.

So begins...

In the caverns of Mount Moon, Colonel was leading a squadron of Dark, Ghost, Rock and Ground-type Pokémon through a search of the place, looking for a certain book. He remembered well his instructions from the previous day...

"There are several places that could fit the bill of 'a mountain that fell from the sky'," explained Fatum. "So all of you are going to split up to find which one holds the Prognosticus. Colonel, you will take your squadron to Mt. Moon."

"Might I ask why?" asked Colonel. "After all, there was a bunch of hubbub around the place recently, and if the book was there, it might have been already discovered..."

"And you trust that humans are ever thorough in uncovering artifacts?" asked Fatum. "The place holds cosmic energy, which indicates that long ago, it may have been part of one of the twin moons. If it is in Fantasma now, it qualifies for having fallen from the sky. Now go."

It had taken him most of the previous day to actually GET to Mt. Moon. While he was easily the strongest of Fatum's lieutenants, he wasn't the fastest when it came to crossing over long distances, especially when he had to escort an entire squadron and do it discreetly.

The wolf-masked youth was deep in his meditation...slightly disturbed only by the arrival of Colonel's squadron.

None of the Pokémon are aware of the wolf-masked youth's presence, so they just continue digging and searching for the Dark Prognosticus.

Unknown why, but the youth felt a chill down his spine. Not a normal chill, but a life-eating chill. Feeling this made his eyes flash wide open.

With a few hours of searching, the Pokémon haven't had any luck finding the Dark Prognosticus. They have, however, found a large, spike-shaped crystal, deep in the heart of Mount Moon, that several are irresistibly drawn to.

Feeling in the very air that something bad is about to happen, the youth immediately sprinted down the side of the mountain, entering the tunnel bored in by the Pokémon.

">What is it?<" asked an Onix, staring at the crystal.

">I don't know,<" said Colonel. ">Maybe it's holding the Prognosticus?<"

">Negative, sir,<" said a Banette. ">Not even a crystal like this could hide the energy the Prognosticus is supposed to radiate.<"

">So... you're saying 'don't break it and see what's inside'?<" asked Colonel.

">Not... not necessarily...<" said the Banette. ">I'm just saying don't break magical things that we're not sure about.<"

OOC: >< these indicate Pokémon language. They're in reverse because they hide things otherwise.

The youth skidded to a stop behind the Pokémon. Then, with a wave of one hand back, his whole body flashed to a pitch-black figure with a cyan glow, summoning a wind that knocked the Pokémon away from the crystal.

"Stay away from that, if you know what's good for you," the youth said, reverting to his regular colors.

"Very well," said Colonel, being one of the few Pokémon that held his ground with the burst of wind. "Since you asked so nicely. Oh wait, no. You attacked us and demanded we stay away. So, not so nicely after all."

The other Pokémon are taken by surprise and slowly get to their feet/whatever they use for transportation, turning to the youth.

"We didn't even come looking for this crystal in the first place," said Colonel. "It was merely in our way. Much like you right now."

"Then get away from it," the youth said, "if it has nothing to do with what you seek." He strafed to the side, allowing a path out of the tunnel. "It's best to be careful what you spend your time on."

"Thank you very much, Dear Abby," said Colonel, dripping with sarcasm. "Where would I be without your advice telling me how to live my life? Let me repay the favor by offering you some. Stay out of business that does not concern you."

"That crystal is pretty much everyone's business," the youth replied. "If you understood the history of the world, you'd know."

"Well, Dear Abby," said Colonel. "I must say you intrigue me. You tell me to stay away from the crystal, and you offer this friendly warning by attacking me and my men. You tell me the crystal is none of my concern and now you say it's everyone's business. I've tried to be reasonable but it seems all you wish to be is antagonistic. Very well."

Colonel turns to his Pokémon.

"Boys. Earthquake," said Colonel.

Several of the Rock and Ground Pokémon nod and slam into the ground, causing a large tremor. In a cavernous area like Mt. Moon, this is very, very bad, causing the whole area to tremble and rocks to fall from above.

"!!!"

The youth did his best to dodge the falling rocks, made easier with wolf-like reflexes. Unfortunately, the combined tremor caused a slight crack in the crystal, a faint black mist emerging from it.

"Oh, I'm SO sorry," said Colonel. "Am I antagonizing you?"

"You fool! Don't break that!!" the youth shouted. "If it's gone, then we'll all be closer to a fate worse than death!"

"So let's recap," said Colonel. "You've attacked me out of nowhere for simply existing near this crystal, told me to stay away from it because it wasn't my business, only it was everyone's business, and now I'm a fool. I don't think I like you very much, Dear Abby. I doubt I'll be following your advice in the future."

The rocks continue to fall.

"I only acknowledged...that it was not what you sought!" the youth said, a bluish glow emanating from his claws. He then threw it forth in a couple of Chill Zephyr attacks, striking several rocks and freezing them to the wall. "And it is everyone's business...in that our world's survival depends on its safety!" He continued to dodge the falling rocks. "As I feared...you understand none of it!"

Unfortunately, some of the falling rocks struck the crack in the crystal, making it break open further, more faint traces of black mist rising from it.

"You wanna know the funny part, Dear Abby?" asked Colonel. "If you just left well enough alone we would have moved on. But no, instead you had to go rushing in, calling us fools for daring to stand near this crystal. We knew it wasn't what we sought, and would have left. But no. You had to go in and demand we leave. You are right, though. We didn't understand what this was. Thanks for telling us, though. Now, boys... Fissure."

The Pokémon slam the ground again, creating a crack in the earth that heads straight for the crystal. At the same time, with surprising speed, Colonel jabs out at the youth with a Brick Breaker punch.

The youth was fortunate enough to evade the Brick Break (SPELL RIGHT) with a crouch-dodge. The crystal...not so well with the several Fissures hitting it head-on. The crystal fragmented all across its surfaces, black mist venting out of them. It wasn't long before the crystal then burst open, its fragments dissolving into dim magic energy as the black mist burst out. The youth's eyes widened - he could tell that the world would certainly be doomed!

Out of the plume of mist came a small black-colored bug with two large white forelegs and two rectangular eyes (and one in its forehead). It fluttered about, getting a good grasp at the surroundings.
