Physical Description: Ganymede is a pale humanoid with rock-hard skin (a few cracks therein)
Personality: Ganymede may be royalty but he certainly doesn’t act like it. Boisterous and good-natured, Ganymede is more than happy to regale anyone nearby with a tale of his epic adventures, and is always eager to go on one himself. Used to being treated like a spoiled child, he’s often surprised when people treat him as an equal, rather than a superior (royalty) or inferior (due to being loud and out there).
History: Ganymede was first in line to the throne of the earth’s core, but his treacherous brother Duncan sealed him within an armored shell (known as Erix) and cast him to the world’s surface so he could reign instead. After a daring mission beneath the earth’s surface, the shell was broken, revealing Ganymede as the man he truly was. Duncan, rather than face justice, killed himself, leaving Ganymede ruler of the earth’s core. The very first thing he did was appoint a steward so he could keep adventuring with his friends in the White Platoon.
Equipment: Ganymede doesn’t use equipment, fighting purely with magic. And his fists.
Abilities: Ganymede lives in the earth’s core, and as such his rock-hard skin is built to resist any amount of heat. As long as Ganymede is in contact with the ground (addendum - on the main planet; on other planets he's powerless) he can manipulate earth and fire, blasting foes and surrounding his body with earthen armor so he can punch them better.
Other: Ganymede has an embassy in Shafton City, allowing him to technically be in the earth’s core while remaining on its surface.

"Look, all we know is that sky pirates stole our nanites before they were ready," said a scientist. "And then airships with Coronach flags bombed Sanctuary. Now I don't know enough about airships to know if there's a conspiracy behind all that, and I'm not gonna suddenly theorize anything with you standing here trying to convince me there is one."
"We're both in the profession of seeing how theories check out, aren't we?" Jagger replied. "So you just keep on testing your theories, and I'll test mine, okay? I just hope we can get this whole mess resolved by the Day of Unity Festival..."

Sometime after Jagger's visit to the Shafton Research Institute, a plane carrying Killian and Perrault touches down at Shafton Airport.
Jagger's phone got a livestream news update.
"This just in: after a failed negotiation talk with the leaders of Coronach, the government of Haven has carried through its intent to attack Coronach. The reasons for doing so are a recent attack by what seem to be Coronach airships using bombs - filled with nanites that were being developed by a branch of Adriel Killian's corporation, but stolen - and the possibility of fugitives that were once members of the White Platoon lurking within their borders. The initial missile has struck the Bacaina Shrine, an ancient barometer of the world's life force, reducing it to - wait a minute...Wh-What's that mist? And...what are those...those bugs coming from it?? Uh...it...seems the attack has broken something inside the tree, and now this black mist is shooting out from it! I...I don't know what it means, but...!"
". . ." Jagger was quite irked about the attack, but somewhat worried about the aftermath. "This...is not good."

"Oh my..." said Killian. "How tragic..."

"I speak English," said Perrault. "I don't have to say French phrases even a third grader would understand."
Killian and Perrault head on to the Shafton Research Institute to conduct an investigation of their own.
"Oh my..." said Killian. "How tragic..."
"It's war," said Perrault. "People die. Such is life."
"Don't you mean 'c'est la vie'?" asked Killian.
"I speak English," said Perrault. "I don't have to say French phrases even a third grader would understand."
Killian and Perrault head on to the Shafton Research Institute to conduct an investigation of their own.
Another article came up on Jagger's phone.
"This just in: once again, the rogue mercenary in blue armor strikes. He was recently seen in Skyscraper Range, attacking and brutalizing Grimm, a rising terrorist in Dream Valley notorious for tainting the very ground near his feet. Rumor has it that beforehand, he was undertaking some shadier tasks in areas beyond the public eye. After the battle in Skyscraper Range, this mercenary proceeded to Sanctuary, where he picked a fight with several of Haven's police officers. Unfortunately, he brought all of them to their knees with some form of aquakinesis, thought to be from his armor. Indeed, this is a dangerous weapon he wields...The questions on our minds now are these: who is this man, and where did he get such unauthorized weaponry?"

Killian doesn't get this article, suggesting either he's not subscribed to that particular section of the news or doesn't think it important. The two businessmen continue their investigation of the Shafton institute, finding out just as much as Jagger while being substantially less rude and accusatory.
Meanwhile, Ganymede heads out of the prison, heading back for the Core Embassy.

As Jagger proceeded with his patrols, a Minil fluttered by his head. Another flew in front of his face, making him brush it back (rather annoyed, at that). It wasn't long before that Minil rushed at Jagger, who, in response, ducked its lunge and got on the defensive.
"What - ? Friggin' bugs are acting up today!" Jagger commented.
Then, the Minil in front of him transformed, becoming a quiet monochrome version of Jagger. Gazing at Jagger with its black/white eyes, it gave a cold smile as it prepared to fight him.
"...So you're here to cause trouble, are you?" Jagger said, getting into a battle stance himself. "Well, that's not welcome in these parts."
"What - ? Friggin' bugs are acting up today!" Jagger commented.
Then, the Minil in front of him transformed, becoming a quiet monochrome version of Jagger. Gazing at Jagger with its black/white eyes, it gave a cold smile as it prepared to fight him.
"...So you're here to cause trouble, are you?" Jagger said, getting into a battle stance himself. "Well, that's not welcome in these parts."
Jagger clenched his fists, which sparked up. In response, Minil-Jagger...threw Etherballs at the nearby buildings, causing rampant damage!
"(!) Hey - !" Jagger responded by rushing in close to Minil-Jagger and striking it into the ground with a flying axekick.
However, the Minil wasn't done - it aimed a hand at Jagger and blasted him back and across the ground with an Ionic Flare attack. Somewhat charred, and slamming against a lightpost, Jagger regained his composure and saw the fake approaching fast, then leaping into the air and hovering via Magnet Flight. It was about to deliver an aerial assault.
"I don't think so!" Jagger said, jumping above Minil-Jagger's electric pulse attack and trapping it in the zone of Ionic Freeze, the resulting flash-freeze solidifying the imposter and sending it falling to the ground, where it shattered to bits (which promptly vaporized).
"That...was definitely weirder than normal," Jagger muttered to himself, brushing off his gloves. "Where are they coming fr - ?"
It's then that he remembered that bug wasn't alone! There were more Minils flying into Shafton, assaulting people to take their life force. Many panicked and hurried to whatever shelter they could while swatting the bugs back however possible. There are several casualties in just the first few minutes!
Somewhere else in town, the sound of things getting frozen is heard...Jagger decides to check this out while seeing about any civilians on his way.

Adam stayed in the ice cream parlor with Umbrella in response to the situation.
"Well, this stinks..." Umbrella moped. "Is it really no safer in Haven?"
"I...can't confirm that at the moment," Adam said, "but don't worry! I won't let those...whatever-they-are get near you!"
"(!) Hey - !" Jagger responded by rushing in close to Minil-Jagger and striking it into the ground with a flying axekick.

Granth was fighting off Minils, striking them with hand-to-hand combat and freezing them with his icy psionics. Jagger arrived on the scene, striking a Minil (that was sneaking up on Granth) with an Etherball.
"(!) Jagger. You seem well," Granth commented. "Though...troubled."
"Yeah, I'd rather not talk about it," Jagger said. "And might I say, these bugs are NOT improving my day!" He joined Granth in fighting off the Minils.
"They...emerged from the corpse of Mt. Moon's key," Granth replied.
"Mt. Moon's k - ? Wait, are you talking about that legend about the destroyer?" Jagger reacted.
"The same. Though I doubt anything could have stopped that army from attacking it...Their view was impossibly black-and-white."
"Sounds like those idiots are begging for a black-and-blue makeover...!" Jagger growled while tearing through Minils with Ionic Flares from his palms.
"(!) Jagger. You seem well," Granth commented. "Though...troubled."
"Yeah, I'd rather not talk about it," Jagger said. "And might I say, these bugs are NOT improving my day!" He joined Granth in fighting off the Minils.
"They...emerged from the corpse of Mt. Moon's key," Granth replied.
"Mt. Moon's k - ? Wait, are you talking about that legend about the destroyer?" Jagger reacted.
"The same. Though I doubt anything could have stopped that army from attacking it...Their view was impossibly black-and-white."
"Sounds like those idiots are begging for a black-and-blue makeover...!" Jagger growled while tearing through Minils with Ionic Flares from his palms.
Ganymede is still fighting Minils with various earth-and-fire based spells. Mostly hurling exploding/crushing things at them. Who can say if he's close enough to Granth and Jagger to intervene in their battle?
The swarm is thinning, thanks to their efforts. However, Jagger noticed a few Minils slipping into the research facility nearby, where Adriel and Perrault are hiding.
"(!) Hey! Get back here!" he shouted, giving chase into the facility.

Killian and Perrault are indeed holed up with other researchers in the facility. They notice on the security feed that the Minils have gotten through their impromptu barrier (a locked door).
"They've gotten in!" said a researcher.
"I told you they would ten minutes ago," said Perrault, the only one in the facility keeping his cool. "You didn't listen."
Assuming any Minils get close, Perrault uses his Nanite-based gravity powers to toss them around like rag dolls. Killian, in the meantime, stands in front of the researchers (but behind Perrault), keeping himself between them and the Minils.
"They've gotten in!" said a researcher.
"I told you they would ten minutes ago," said Perrault, the only one in the facility keeping his cool. "You didn't listen."
Assuming any Minils get close, Perrault uses his Nanite-based gravity powers to toss them around like rag dolls. Killian, in the meantime, stands in front of the researchers (but behind Perrault), keeping himself between them and the Minils.
This works with most of the Minils. Two of them, though, take on Perrault's form, and use his gravity powers to lift the researchers out from behind Killian and fling them violently into the walls. However, they were distracted from Jagger, who had pursued them and delivered a charged Dynamo Roundhouse to one of the Minil-Perraults, tearing through it.
The researchers that get thrown into the walls are not meant for such strenuous physical activity and at best have several broken bones, including shattered ribs. The real Perrault looks above the remaining Minil-Perrault and, with a wave of his hand, brings a section of the ceiling down on it.
Jagger nearly got hit by this falling piece of ceiling, jumping out of the way with shock.
"H-Hey, careful!" Jagger shouted in surprise. "This building's been damaged enough by that pirate!"
