Red, Rainbow Dash, Spike, and Valentine also came to, just as Karasz and Toniyo arrived. It's about here that Toniyo says that there's no treasure.

"...Well, of course there isn't," Valentine said. "But we are NOT evacuating this tower!"

"Whatcha talkin' about, nurse?" Peacock asked skeptically.

"Had a feeling about that..." Red added, still a bit drowsy from Cessare's test.

"But...if there's nothing here..." Spike asked, "then why are we staying?"

"Simple. The tower needs our help."

Ganymede gets up right around the time Toniyo says there is no treasure.

"How do YOU know?" said Ganymede. "And what IS in the tower if not treasure?"

"Ganymede, we've got bigger problems," pointed out Dr. Y.

"Inside the Bell Tower, there is a--" Toniyo is then interrupted by Claptrap, "Wha--?!"

"Aw- who cares what's in the Bell Tower! No matter what's in that Bell Tower, it has to be valuable! And as anyone knows that I, Claptrap, finally reached thy destiny! If it wasn't for my minions, I wouldn't be able to make it in the first place."

"You don't understand--! There is no treasure!" Karasz repeated.

"And you two are just there to stall us!" Claptrap accused, "So forget your 'so-called' warning, kid! I'm about to find out what's in that---"

There is a low growl coming from the Bell Tower. Leilanie, Qwark, and Claptrap hear it, but they think their stomaches are growling.

"Errr............" Claptrap shrugs, "I'm sure everyone is hungry... FOR TREASURE!" Then he runs over to the doors in front the Bell Tower. With the seven tower keys, the door should be opening.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE!!" Toniyo screamed at Claptrap.

"Look, if you guys are trying to scare us, it isn't working." Leilanie follows Claptrap, "I know your gigs, guys. Just drop the act and let me collect the treasure so that talking toaster won't have anything left."

"Oh god..." Karasz facepalmed, "GUYS??? ANYONE?"

"Nyet. I'm going." The Heavy followed Leilanie and Claptrap.

"I promised Zenmei that I would share the treasure for his hard work." Qwark did the same.

"Heyoo?" Steve actually stays with Ted.

"Not working, Karatcake!" Leilanie taunts at her boyfriend.

"No, you don't!" Jagger applied a magnetic grip on Leilanie, Claptrap, Heavy, and Qwark, dragging them back to the group. "Think rationally - the Tower Key appears once every 500 years, likely for a reusable purpose. And I doubt that purpose is treasure, which I'm also sure ISN'T something that Ortus was just testing our self-control for!"

"Obviously!" Red added. "Cessare tested us on what it means to not fear even death. If we were talking about gold and baubles, it would have tested fear of bankruptcy."

"You serious? Wow...there must be somethin' bigger going on if THAT'S what our tests were like," Peacock said.

"...Actually, why not let them proceed with their greedy egos," Valentine remarked. "They've worked hard to come this far, right? And I'd like to see how big a splash they can make."

"Eh - ?" Peacock responded. It's kinda hard to hear what Valentine muttered there.

"Anyway, the barrier seems to be fading fast," Twilight noted. "Let's hurry to the floor above!"

"Our final test of the quest..." Zenmei said. "Bring it on!"

At long last, their journey is almost over! The Treasure Hunters are going to the next floor as they are reaching their final part of their hunt for treasure. This room is covered in cold textures, and there is a giant vault shining in front of the treasure hunters.

"It's..... beautiful....!!" Claptrap approaches, "HA HA!!! YOU SEE THAT, DANGER?! I LAUGH AT YOU ONCE AGAIN! You think you can keep Claptrap away from the treasure?! Well sucks to be you, danger! And now, for a moment of truth!" He stands in front of vault and raised his arms. Qwark and Leilanie shrugs at each other since they have no comment on Claptrap. But it couldn't hurt to watch how this is going. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDD OOOOPPPPEEEEEEEENN!!!"

"No- WAIT!!" Karasz cried. The shining vault is opening up, letting out some steam. But something is wrong... Is this what they are expecting? The vault is opening up wide, but inside is a dark vortex. A giant blue hand emerges from the vortex and smashes the floor in front of Claptrap.

"AAAAAHH!!!" Claptrap steps away, but tumbles on his back, "WHAT..?!"

Mwah hah hah hah hah hah hah!!!!!

A ghostly demon then comes out of the vault door. His appearance resembles an undead cyclops with a horned helmet, a red cape, spiked chain-mail with a red jewel on his chest. The treasure turns out to be fake and it's a monster all along.

At last.... I am free from the tower's accursed prison! And it all thanks to you and your need for greed.

"Heyoo??" Steve is shaking like a coward.

I am an ancient demon of the Bell Tower... Thy name is Tenebris Lucem, the destroyer of Yuyake! I was sealed inside the Bell Tower by the sages of Yuyake. I despite those sages...!!! But thanks to you, I can resume my conquest to destroy this pitiful continent!

"I can't believe you idiots didn't listen to a word I say..." Karasz groaned, then he pulls out his sword, "That leaves us no choice but to fight the demon."

"It was all a lie...??" Claptrap is shaking, then freaks out, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO--- *gasps* --OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

"OH NOW I understand why Karasz likes you so much! You practically invent adventure! I like you!" Renna laughed and hi-fived Leilanie, grinning. "Right, I think I might have a method of killing this bastard. EVERYONE LISTEN CLOSE!" Renna pointed at Rainbow Dash. "You, get above him. Twilight, the same. Spike, stand with me." She set her face in a sudden stony look, the face she always made when she was planning. "Toniyo, you know how to climb right? Get on his shoulder. And finally, Chelle, use that portal gun of yours somehow." She spat all this out in a moment, managing to make herself clear, and everyone else surrounded the Cyclops in a circle. She pulled out her pistols and pulled her goggles on."Ponies use magic and speed, Toniyo shoot him, Spike, toast him, and everyone else go ballistic!!Now!" She yelled, her battle cry filling the room, her eyes blazing with a look that would strike fear in anyone, and began to fire.

Attacks above are too weak to faze Tenebris, but a few shots hit his red jewel.

W--What?!

"OOOOH! BURN!" Claptrap said. "Looks like the doc's insults are 'bigger' than your primitive looks! Get it? Big?"

Nobody laughed at Claptrap's lame joke. Not only that, Tenebris shakes his head in disbelief. Did Dr. Y. just compared him to other demons that are planet-smashing happy? Tenebris is offended and upset about Dr. Y.'s comments.

Aww come on! I worked so hard on my introductory speech during my imprisonment, and this is the feedback I received? Gahh, you mortals have no taste in fear...

".......Are you done complaining?" Leilanie asked.

Yes.

Tenebris returns his attack by unleashing his fireballs around him and forming into his own fiery shield. Then he throws black fireballs at the treasure hunters, burning them painfully.

Oh, the irony of all~ It seems that you greedy beings will receive an endless supply of flames. Ooh, don't you just want them all? Seeing you hunters burn alive will bring amusement to my moment.

"HYAH!!" Rainbow Dash zoomed above and around Tenebrus, kicking him left and right and right into the jewel. Twilight flies above, focusing magic on the jewel as well.

Valentine meanwhile leaped onto Tenebrus's right shoulder, preparing a syringe with some kind of toxin. Peacock kept Tenebrus busy by weaving past the fireballs and firing cannonballs, baseballs, and Bullet Bills into his eye with her gun.

"Alright...time for your shots!" Valentine plunged the needle into Tenebrus, injecting some kind of input lag toxin.

Jagger skated to the other side of Tenebrus using magnetic flight, while Zenmei summoned the Wolf's Mirror within him in front, blocking off the fire. Red hurled swaths of homing fireballs at the demon.

Tenebris took little damage from the recent attacks, but with the red jewel it seems like he will take more later on. Captain Qwark charges his laser gun and blasts lasers at Tenebris while Toniyo uses his bow to shoot arrows at the same target. Karasz is attacks with close range and swings his sword at Tenebris's chest.

Look at you, you pennypinching pricks... I can see that you are all desperate to lay your hands on the treasure. You should know that your greedy desires will lead you to your doom.

The Heavy takes out his minigun and aims for the red jewel. "Da. Every demon have their weaknesses, no?"

I knew I should've brought a more powerful armor to protect my precious gem. But it won't matter!

Tenebris covers his red jewel with his own hands.

As the fireballs come near, Dr. Y ducks behind Ganymede to avoid them. Ganymede lives at the center of the planet. Fireballs are basically a nice shower to him.

"Treasure?" said Ganymede. "I need no treasure! I am prince of the core! You may keep your treasure! But as for destroying this continent..."

Ganymede conjures up fireballs all around him.

"Let's see how YOU handle the heat!"

Ganymede hurls the explosive fireballs at Tenebris' hands.

"Hands off!" Jagger channeled electromagnetic power from his hands onto Tenebris's, doing his best to pry them away from his jewel.

Zenmei joined Valentine atop the demon's other shoulder, using the Shimmer Gem chakra to refract light through his crystal arm and blast it into Tenebris's eye.

Meanwhile, Peacock was winding up some George bombs...and maybe inflating them a bit with a bicycle pump(?).
