Physical Description: A massive robot, Ripsaw is supported by a large ribcage-esque chest area, with a large shell-like plating on his back that curves just barely over his head. A reinforced yet surprisingly flexible metal tube that serves as a spine connects this to a six-legged crab-like platform below, which also sports a long wire in the form of a tail. Energy also glows like an extremely thin rainbow through the slits in his ribcage plating. His head is shaped into a hideously-deformed helmet with a jaw plate bolted on, and two light blue glassed eyes that glow brightly, with the spine connecting the head and the rest of his body together, and his rather long arms sport razor-sharp pincers along what would be the fingertips. He also has several hidden compartments along his back and shoulder region, which hide numerous buzzsaws attached to several mechanical tendrils, as well as a fairly powerful rail gun.
Personality: Usually looking for a reason to "paint" his sawblades, Ripsaw possesses the cold calculating processes of a machine, with the personality of a bloodthirsty war hound. Often speaking with long, drawn-out hisses, he is normally quite calm despite having a malicious tone more often than not, but is rather quick to become enraged. Merciless, prideful, and outright hostile, he will not hesitate to violently end anyone that crosses him or his master.
..Or at least, this used to be the case. While still retaining his hissing staple and general hostility, the latter however is much more watered-down now than it was originally - now mostly represented in subtle manner shifts to those he is largely unfamiliar with. He can still prove to be a horrifying combatant when provoked into a blind rage, however, so watch yourself.
History: One of Plantium's newer creations and loosely based on the old SCRAPMETAL project (a massive machine equipped with numerous tools that was built for the sole purpose of eviscerating hated enemies, which inadvertently contributed to one of it's own maker's demises when he tried to throw both himself and a certain foe into the machine's gaping maw in a last-ditch effort), Ripsaw was crafted to be one of the greatest weapons in the Metal Legion's arsenal, carrying a multitude of weaponry, being capable of adapting to combat in the field similar to the also-new Honor Guards, and serving as temporary commander when the situation calls for it. Unlike most of the prominent machines in the Metal Legion's registry however, it is clear that Ripsaw's AI was outright given a great degree of free will and self-awareness - the reason as to why being unclear, although speculation suggests that these restrictions would impede Ripsaw's processing of new data and capabilities to think on the fly. To aid this progression, a unique personality matrix was built for Ripsaw - likely the source of his bloodthirst and thrill for battle, while still remaining undyingly loyal to the Metal Legion. A ruthless killing machine when provoked, Ripsaw's mission hence is two-fold; to gather data from others in combat to use to perfect himself, and use this perfection to aid the Metal Legion's conquests as a superweapon.*
* As of late, however, due to the events surrounding the Bell Tower, Ripsaw was thought to be among the Metal Legion's deceased - when, in fact, the wrecked war machine was merely adrift at sea, largely disabled. Awakening to find himself leaderless, forced into performing a full-systems reset, and more than likely being the last of his brethren, Ripsaw has little left to him now, other than the core directive in his programming - to evolve into something greater.
Equipment: In terms of equipment, Ripsaw carries a dozen or so sawblades positioned on mechanical tendrils, hidden all around his chassis in compartments to use to surprise and viciously tear his opponents to pieces. His own claws are interchangable as well, being able to switch to two additional, much larger sawblades. Aside from these, he also carries a fairly large rail gun hidden within his shoulder region, should his prey be doing their best to avoid his saws. His reinforced armor also serves to protect him from both substantial damage and hazardous sources, and he can disconnect his head from the rest of his body, using it as an intelligence-gathering probe. His long tail can also serve as a grappling weapon, either to latch onto ledges.. or people. He is also capable of shifting into a variety of forms to adapt to situations as they present themselves, and can absorb foreign or superior metals and technology he comes across to utilize as his own.
